One of the loveliest places I've ever been - where I could have quality time with my HH *and* indulge my fascination for 19th-century history - is the Shaker Village in Pleasant Hill, KY. It's not outrageously expensive, set in marvelous countryside, and has *wonderful* food. Best of all, there's a serenity there that is unmatched by any other place I've visited. Spending time there is like a spa treatment for the soul.

Good for you - everyone we know who calls us on AT&T drops the call at least once during the conversation. Doesn't matter if we're on *our* cell phones or using our landline, and doesn't matter where we are when we take/make the call. I love my Verizon service!

Do your kids friends enter your house un-announced?

I just can't get over how many of you peeps leave your doors unlocked. -
:::taking a deep breath::: Then someone (Mom? Dad?) did it for you, because DDS doesn't automatically mail out licenses. We *do* (provided we have your correct mailing address) mail out notices of eligibility to upgrade, which provide that person a PIN to access their information online, apply for the upgraded license and pay for it. THEN it's mailed out. If we had the correct info for Pubby's DD, she got that same notice. Too bad her mother told her to ignore it. PsychoMom, persons under 18 pay less for their class D licenses: $10.00. So the reduc

Oh well, I'm used to it. (You can get one free address change during a license cycle, and you can do it online - just so you know.)

Interracial couple denied marriage license in La.

That is precisely the same analogy that occurred to me when I read this story. -
Maybe this will help the OP decide what to do: http://www.dds.ga.gov/docs/business/Nolo_Cheat_Sheet.pdf

True enough - many people think that if the points are removed, the citation is removed, and of course this isn't the case at all.
-
You are allowed one nolo plea every five years. If the judge accepts it and sends it in to DDS as a nolo plea, no points will be assessed for that citation. I have no idea if a nolo plea has any effect on one's fine.

And when he has most of his strength back, tell him to start walking again. Best wishes for his continuing recovery ....

What info would you like to see on bakery website?

Do you intend to allow people to place orders through your website? -
I take it you've already been here: http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/motor/registr...toregister.aspx GA has a 4% sales tax, and the county tacks an additional 3% onto that. Perhaps you're getting an exemption from the *state* tax but not from the *county* tax.

I'm pretty sure the 'HR' part of her is just on vacation. That's the way kids are made.

Denise Bass just called me-Phillip is in Kidney Failure!
Riograce replied to kerstinamber's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was wondering the same thing. And he'll begin to feel better once they start dialysis. Hemodialysis is very draining, but if he's been in renal failure for a while, getting those toxins out of his system will help him tremendously. And as Madea says, renal function *can* be restored, if the kidneys aren't permanently damaged - my father was in that situation himself. -

I don't know Mr. Bass' underlying condition that caused the kidney failure, but once they get him stabilized with hemodialysis, the doctors can begin to decide the best course of treatment and go from there. It *is* possible that the renal failure is a temporary condition, and that the dialysis will give his kidneys a chance to recover. Prayers for him and Denise that they will get good news VERY soon! -

I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless you know your father to be the kind of person who bottles things up and has to be encouraged to talk about things that upset him. After three years, he may be past the point of thinking about his loss every single day, and if he was never much for anniversaries to begin with, it may have not even occurred to him.

I don't speak from experience, but I'm guessing that when bakeries are "closed" to the public, they ARE working for some of that time, because they're BAKING.

Kewlisa, if you're still monitoring this thread, let MizCue know that I tried to PM her, but her box was full. I'd love to drop her a line! Thanks!

I asked the same thing earlier - I'm crossing my fingers that they'll be open on Mondays!

Speaking of Rich's, their bakeries also had a *wonderful* lemon chess pie and homemade rolls that were as good as my grandmother's (and that's saying something!). If you can make tasty rolls and breads, that would be a big draw, I'd think. Have you decided on your hours of operation yet?

Other than the facemask and the personal foul (acts of *individuals* and not the entire team, usually), what did the Aquinas TEAM do that was so reprehensible? Other than win, I mean?

Just wondering: when were you there last?
