Word Lens looks very useful!! Too bad it is (currently) available only for iPhone :-( Good news is that other platforms are in the works. Here's my list of useful Android apps (not sure which ones are available for iPhone/iPad as well) Handcent SMS - fully customize the look and sound of text messaging, including text tones for each contact Advanced Task Killer - one click to kill applications running in the background Opera Mini Web browser - much faster and uses about 2/3 less memory than the Android Browser. However, you don't get the touch interface on P'com (and I as

I think it would be wise to hide your Lindor truffles. I've seen the commercial on Hulu where it looks like the chocolatier is making love to the bowl of chocoate, but it all made sense last week when I tried one for the first time. A lady on my mail route gave me a package of assorted Lindor truffles and the white chocolate was heaven in my mouth! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpLtQDbnWEs

I can't deny that internal theft does occur, however, most of the damaged mail is due to the mail being processed on automated machinery at a high rate of speed. As a mail carrier, I see various degrees of torn mail nearly every day. Mailpieces have to bend around turns, which can split the ends of envelopes or cause bulky items to break through. Sometimes mail will jam in the machine but the machinery keeps running, which can crumple, tear and cause friction burns on mail. I'll see if I can get a video at work soon. Several postal employees (not just carriers) in the Atlanta area were fir

I really like Tyler Perry but did not know that he is so generous and charitable. I like him even more now.

It was a rare occasion for me to watch TV tonight, but I saw an AT&T commercial advertising internet access for only $14.95 (I'm pretty sure that price gets you the slow 1.5 Mbps) and even said no home phone required.

hehehe, no. Hey, I know where you work.... but then, I wouldn't expect the outcome to be different than this one! This reminds me of my T-shirt that says "Mail Carriers have the best Packages."

So $16 for a seafood platter and a soft drink? Sounds reasonable. Where's this place at?

The Paulding County Board of Commissioners recently honored Dallas Rural Carrier Stacy Bradley for aiding an 80-year-old customer. Bradley found Doris Butler Andrews lying on her driveway, bleeding, with her husband kneeling over her. Bradley tried to comfort her and called 911. "I held her until paramedics arrived and later went back to check on them after completing my route. It was an emotional as well as inspiring experience for me because as Mrs. Andrews lay on the ground, she and her husband kept thanking each other for 63 years. It was very touching," says Bradley. A 6-year-old girl, afraid of waking up on Christmas morning and having no presents to open, told Santa Claus she's been "super good." It touched everyone's heart," said letter carrier Michael Bond. "They read that letter out loud yesterday and everybody, from top management at Page Field all the way down, we just started rallying." So the Page Field Post Office in Fort Myers has adopted this family in need. They'll provide presents for the kids, a Christmas tree with all the trimmings and all types of furniture. Plus, in one day, the employees raised about $400. http://www.msnbc

This reminds me... well, it isn't really a pot hole in front of your store, but have you gotten use to the sound of "BOOM! BOOM!"?

Checking P'com yesterday is what made me stay home instead of going out last night. I get the majority of news right here, so this is where I found out about the bad conditions out there. I spent a good while listening to my scanner and reading the threads in here. Thanks to P'com, Anita, White Oak BC, all the emergency personnel, wrecker services and anybody else that helped out and worked hard last night. There is! Just click on the green plus at the bottom-right corner of the post.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the pizza places stopped delivery during these conditions. I hope the drivers are eligible for workers comp and the pizza place paying for damages if they get into a wreck delivering a $14 pizza while PCSO is saying to stay off the roads.

Logan's Roadhouse is still open. It's been a week since I was there but I'm pretty sure it was open tonight when I drove by. -

Hmm, I must be getting hungry because cheesy rice doesn't sound bad. A good, ice-cold draft in a glass sounds pretty good too! Maybe in front of a fireplace...

"Great music, played on a what?" is what piqued my curiosity and got me to open the post. LOL Oh, I didn't know this was so close! I saw it on Facebook and figured it was another viral video, but had no idea it was close to home. -
LOL, it's sad that someone took something out of your truck bed, however it is pretty funny that it was a dead animal they stole! Maybe Caped Crusader needed something for target practice?
