I've seen the commercial on Hulu where it looks like the chocolatier is making love to the bowl of chocoate, but it all made sense last week when I tried one for the first time. I can't deny that internal theft does occur, however, most of the damaged mail is due to the mail being processed on automated machinery at a high rate of speed. As a mail carrier, I see various degrees of torn mail nearly every day. Mailpieces have to bend around turns, which can split the ends of envelopes or cause bulky items to break through. The Paulding County Board of Commissioners recently honored Dallas Rural Carrier Stacy Bradley for aiding an 80-year-old customer.
