This thread came to mind today and I realized that I got sidetracked thinking about prior screen names and forgot that the question was whether people know you by your screen name or real name. More people learned your name when you had a commerce membership. I still think of li'l gallows mama Though I usually read LGM as "li'l gallows mama", I always think of your nickname Just WFAL Your real name is more prevalent in my mind that your screen name CNN HN asked to do an interview with me regarding a website I was maintaining about the Iraq war.

I attempted to send you a PM but apparently you can't receive any new messages.

Last weekend I went with a friend to find the caches at the state parks near the Georgia-Alabama state line as part of the Georgia State Parks Geo-Challenge. It was quite an adventure, and a great day of enjoying nature and spectacular sights. I made my first benchmark find this past Thursday and became more interested in looking for more. I was going to go out yesterday on a benchmark hunt but didn't due to the rain. Benchmark Hunting "Using your GPS unit and/or written directions provided by NGS, which are available for review by the public, you can seek out NGS survey markers and other

Awesome! Now I won't have to drive all the way into Hiram to get food late at night! The cold deli food at the 24-hour grocery stores aren't all that exciting.

"Kayak Geocaching" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7mP8M230EA "It's not always your feet that do the work of taking you to a geocache. Sometimes geocachers paddle a kayak or canoe through pristine waters to hunt down a cache. Follow geocacher Claire Delavigne, known by the geocaching name Planet. She navigates through a Connecticut nature preserve and combines kayaking and geocaching. True to the world of geocaching, her adventure doesn't go as planned." I was driving through downtown Dallas on Wednesday evening and stopped in the road when I saw the new fountain and large gazebo. I had to pull into the parking lot across the street to get out and look around. There were several people enjoying the area. The gazebo was brightly lit up inside, but there were no benches or tables or anything inside. I just came on P'com to see if I had missed discussion about this new area.

Um, hmmm. I can't decide one way or the other. I'd say that the P'commers who know me fairly well know me by my name, whereas the others who may have met me a time or two don't remember my name. LPPT & pubby are the only people coming to mind who call me November Rain in person. Every time I see the username NC-17, I think "Number Cruncher" More people learned your name when you had a commerce membership. I still think of li'l gallows mama So you're family, eh? Only family uses that name KRM, another abbreviated username that I still read as Katt's Ro

It was obviously a spur-of-the-moment email typed out on her BlackBerry and apparently wasn't proofread. Give her some slack on the typos for typing on a tiny keypad. Typos are pretty common on full-sized keyboards as well, which doesn't necessarily reflect on the person's grammar/English skills. I was 12 years old when I started 9th grade.

My little, old washing machine conked out and will cost $140 to replace the timer. I've decided that I may as well buy a new one so hopefully I won't have to fix anything on it for years. Where should I look to buy a washer? What brands should I avoid? Which retail stores should I go to? Where are scratch & dent stores? Should I go there? Or should I just look on craigslist and buy used?

I typically turn on Fox 5 when I watch evening news, and I have noticed that they do exaggerate and make their stories more dramatic than they actually are.

Cool! I am going to have to make a trip to find these. One of them says it is "being used as an enticement to get people to come and see the relic", which is one thing that I LOVE about geocaching. I have discovered so many things that I pass by all the time but never noticed. Some of my favorite fairly local locations of caches I've hunted: C.I.P. Small Passage to Douglasville History Freedom Island Wetlands Stout Park cache V2.0 Peace & Tranquility (Lair in the woods) Dead Wrong... Remember Little House on the Green Carroll's Vet

I think it's better than taking up a whole parking spot (especially if you park all the way to the front so it looks like an empty spot until I start to pull in.) I just hope a handicapped person doesn't knock it over trying to get in/out of their vehicle.

Last week, we took some friends out to a new restaurant, and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket. It seemed a little strange. When the busboy brought our water and utensils, I noticed he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket. Then I looked around saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets. When the waiter came back to serve our soup I asked, "Why the spoon?" Well," he explained, "the restaurant's owners hired Kurt Salmon Associates to revamp all our processes. After several months of analysis, they concluded that the spoon is the most frequ

"The shooting took place at a Texaco station on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive SW in Atlanta. Police say the victims included 19-year-old Tedra Jordan, pregnant with twins, who police say was shot in the buttocks and calf, and Jeniya Love, an infant shot in the foot. Both are listed in stable condition." "Police say an 8-month old infant, also in the car, was not hurt. Maj. Keith Meadows says the two adults are the parents of the children." http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/local_news/three-shot-sw-atlanta-20100913-es

Oh, at first I thought maybe you were going to throw a party for me. This thread will be helpful for me, too, as I have been thinking that I should celebrate turning 30... You're not my wife, are you? I've thought about going back! I was there this summer for a friend's 40th, but it's not really feasible for a large group...

I'm figuring that is why the tax due amount is down, which is why I'm not really all that excited about it.

I thought it was a SNL or similar skit but the video comments (and Lady Raider) indicate that people have seen this commercial on TV. Man, will Jamie Presley ever age and not look hot?

Eh, I have mixed feelings about this. As a "free" American, I'm not too excited about government getting too involved with my life. However, recycling is greatly needed, and after all these years of recycling being encouraged, I'm not really opposed to a more proactive approach. I feel that we are definitely overpopulating this planet with residential, cemeteries and landfills. We NEED to reduce, reuse and recycle! As I have been considering signing up for Couch Recycling and as Couch Recycling has expanded the list of recyclable items she can pickup, I have realized that nearly everything

This reminds me of an incident I had last Fall. A friend and I were on our way up to Gatlinburg, TN and stopped at the Crossroads Kroger. As we were getting back into my car, a lady (I'd guess to be in her 50s maybe) wearing a McDonald's uniform pulled up behind me and rolled her window down. She said that she needed gas money to get up to Chattanooga because her parents had just been seriously hurt in a car wreck. Since we would be passing through Chattanooga, I said that I could do better than give gas money and offered to give her a ride there. She said that she had to run to her house just

I would have a difficult time explaining this

What comes to my mind is that it's absurd for you to think that. Why shouldn't a company grow a vegetable for their product just because there are hungry people everywhere in the world? I don't see it as America having excess food, just businesses manufacturing products using organic materials that is grown for the company's use. On the subject of World's Best Cat Litter, it works great and smells like cereal (I think it was Kellogg's Corn Pops cereal that came to mind when I started using World's Best Cat Litter in my LitterMaid litter box.) However, I have switched to Dr. Elsey's Preciou -
Hehe. I found a girl's sock on the floor behind the driver's seat in my car that I couldn't figure out where it came from. I still think it had to belong to my then ex-girlfriend, even though she said on the phone that it wasn't...

Caches can go days or months between finds. The only time you should be concerned is when the previous log entry is a DNF (Did Not Find), particularly if the last 2-3 logs are DNFs. However, that does not necessarily mean that the cache is gone; it may still be there. A "Needs Maintenance" log is posted by another cacher. This typically means that the owner needs to check on it to replace a full logbook or possibly repair some damage, or sometimes just to make sure that it is still there. I didn't realized that there is a 24-hour restriction before you can access the forums. I think it
