  1. No problem here. I just tried to access those forums and was prompted to enter the password. Regarding clearing the cookies, make sure you use the link that is at the very bottom of every page on P'com that says "Delete My Cookies"
  2. One day last week I opened my front door at 7:15 AM and noticed a black SUV parked across the street in front of my house and thought nothing of it. Fifteen minutes later I looked out the window to see if the trash pickup had come yet and saw the black SUV pull up and park in the same spot, which got my attention. A few minutes later I looked again and saw that the engine was running (visible exhaust in the cold morning air) but couldn't tell if anyone was in the driver's seat. The windows were tinted very dark and I couldn't see in. At 8:15 my next-door neighbor called to ask if the vehic
  3. Yes! I realized it shortly after I woke up Thursday morning, but figured you had already come. I will have a double load for you this week. Good thing trash pickup was running late and I was able to get that out last week.
  4. Let me know if you need any help finding the caches. I may be able to give you a hint, subtle or direct.
  5. As was posted in the other thread that JohnnyJ linked to, apparently someone heard on the news a while back that Mrs. Winners was filing for bankruptcy and assumed that is why the store in Dallas and select other locations have closed. I was told by an employee of the Dallas store that it recently went from being corporate-owned to franchise-owned and that they were told by the Mrs Winners corporation that they couldn't operate under that name. It will reopen with a different name.
  6. Looked like a dumpster or trailer or something like that was on fire. I snapped a couple of photos on my phone when I rode by at 9:20
  7. Awesome deal! I hope people won't feel too bothered to separate the recyclable paper products for pickup. I know people who throw empty food cans into the trash instead of the adjacent recycling bin because they don't want to bother rinsing out the can first...
  8. Awesome! I started out going to the caches that I pass every day on my way to work. Then whenever I went somewhere (store, restaurant, etc) I checked to see what was nearby. After a few months I started making special trips just to find caches. It's fun to find the "hidden treasures". I have found the vast majority of the caches in Hiram, Dallas, Douglasville and Powder Springs. I just need to go to some of the parks and get on the Silver Comet Trail. Let me know if you need any help finding a local cache! Yes, caches aren't to be placed at schools from elementary through high school.
  9. I was told by someone who works at the Dallas location that it recently changed from corporate to a franchise and the franchise was told not to operate using the Mrs. Winners name. Sounds confusing but I didn't press for all the details.
  10. Typo or not, HDMI cables are definitely overpriced. Thanks for the tip! Popular Mechanics: Brand-Name HDMI Cables: Are They Worth It? CNET: Quick Guide: HDMI and HDMI cables
  11. Eh, I haven't put up a tree in ten years. However, I did vote for colored lights. I like the ones that cycle slowly between the colors. If I had to buy a Christmas tree, I'd be interested in getting a space-saving inverted artificial tree (that doesn't hang from the ceiling.) I definitely would not put any tinsel or garland on it. Example one and two (found using Google image search.)
  12. I just rode by there a short while ago. The restaurant was surrounded by firetrucks. However, it was very foggy and I didn't see any fire.
  13. Your first post was presented as fact. Now you're implying that the neighbor is a kid and may or may not be telling the truth? I wouldn't think so, considering that this thread was posted at 11:26 (who knows what time it was when the kid may or may not have seen a shooting) and the robbery appears to have been later around midnight.
  14. So your neighbor was there, saw the whole thing and told you about it? What were you hoping to find here?
  15. Just thought I would point out that unlimited messaging and unlimited data are two separate things... I wish I could reduce my monthly anytime minute allowance to get a cheaper bill. I pay Verizon for the lowest voice minutes plan of 450 anytime minutes but use only about 100 per month. I have the $80 plan ($64 with my 20% discount) with 450 anytime minutes, unlimited messaging and unlimited email & internet data. This past month I sent & received just over 1000 texts.
  16. The first trick-or-treater came to my door at exactly 5:35. I was surprised someone would come that early!
  17. Just a reminder for anyone around south-east Paulding. Nobody else saw signs or knows of any other local spooky attractions?
  18. I didn't finish my route yesterday until about 5:45, mostly due to having a ton of political mail and certified letters.
  19. I've seen signs for two free haunts near me in South-East Paulding and figure there may be more around the county. Post what you know! These two are off of Brownsville Rd Haunted Yard Saturday & Sunday evening 10/30-31 looks like some sort of elaborate setup in the front yard 608 Tidwell Rd Powder Springs House of Horrors Saturday evening 10/30 Enclosed area on the front side of this house 171 Tidwell Farms Dr Powder Springs
  20. I also had to go back to "self-proclaimed liberals" for the highlighted "they" to make sense.
  21. I didn't even set out the trash can this week, because it was empty... Yep, didn't even fill up one bag of garbage this week due to filling up the tub with recyclable trash. I may have to call the waste disposal company and see if they will reduce my pickup schedule for a lower monthly cost.
  22. Swell, I don't feel bad for not remembering what NC looks like or even her name since I met her just one time a couple of years ago. I do remember you though, since I've seen you at least twice. Eww. Wrong sticky, silly woman LOL
  23. I'd like that too and I'll implement it if I can figure out how to do without a lot of overhead. As it is, the overhead is minimal including downloads (they're rarely larger than 7-10 kb per image and they'll be stored in your browser's cache after about the first download.) All that's needed is a touch of JavaScript to set the ad iframe to be the same height as the content column div. <script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = setHeight; function setHeight() { var cch = document.getElementById("content_column").offsetHeight; // Get height of content_column div var sai
  24. I'm glad nobody was hurt and the window is the only damage. Hopefully those fingerprints belong to the culprit(s) and are not yours or anybody else who has opened the window. Yeah, I was waiting for that part of the story
  25. I didn't notice it until it was brought to my attention (just like the blue, green and red buttons at the very top-left corner.) I have a wide 26" monitor with the screen resolution set at 1920 x 1200, so the static ad graphics on the right side don't bother me. However, it would be nice if the length of the ads was no longer than the content on short pages.
