When we went for the race, we stayed in Ormond Beach. I think it was Paradise Cove. It's been completely renovated since we were there. Ormond Beach is an easy drive to the track.
We have a drop ceiling in ours. It's not considered "living space" for appraisal purposes, but I think that's the only difference. It's not extremely attractive, but not too many people look at the ceiling anyway.
