  1. Some people whom I respect and admire have stated they will be voting for Mr. Plumley. However, your comments are NOT helping Mr. Plumley at all.
  2. You should have read more carefully about what I was referring to. I need to know more about Mr. Plumley than his polished info.
  3. I can say it. But given the choices it's still mine. Hell would freeze over before I voted for Stout for anything ever.
  4. With a choice between Stout, Braddock or a 29 year old student. I'd have to say Braddock.
  5. Don't forget, there are commission seats and BOE seats in this July primary. he does live here (he couldn't run if he didn't) but I don't think he has an office in Paulding.
  6. The average person fails to realize that attorneys specialize much the same way that doctors do. and those who have never needed the services of a criminal law attorney fail to realize that Paulding has very few choices in that dept because the DAs office is in such a mess very few good attorneys will even bother coming out here. If you want access to good legal options, the county offices that those people have to deal with need to operate professionally.
  7. From what I've seen, Drew Lane is nice. However, that office is a mess. Of the three running, quite frankly I find Dick Donovan the most qualified. Although I will confess to limited direct knowledge about Plumley. How would you suggest the research be carried out? It appears (on the surface) that people who are voting against Donovan have more personal issues than professional so I don't know how voters would get that information. And, I truly feel that a vote against Donovan is a vote for Lane and will put him right back in office and right back into the same mess we are currently in.
  8. I think these local races are extremely important. Especially considering that most folks don't realize they could very well be decided in this July primary and those thinking they will cast their vote in November may never have that chance.
  9. That was very nice. Thanks for sharing!
  10. I WILL!!! (Remind me! ) Someone needs to make Lane answer the tough questions! How many child molestation cases has his office EVER won? Should I be PC and say successfully prosecuted? Doesn't matter. Same answer. How many DUIs dead docket each year? He'll try and ride the Ewing trial. BUT, oh wait, he wasn't even qualified to prosecute it, an ADA did that case. That case was a ringer any way, that guy was going down regardless, too much evidence for him not to.
  11. They pass out supply lists, why not say 1st grade supplies $20, 2nd grade $25, or whatever. Pool the money and buy the pencils, crayons, paper, tissues, etc. They'd get a great deal buying in bulk and have way more buying power with the funds. I know that not every parent could or would participate, but they aren't all participating now! Not to mention all that stuff is a pain to get to school the first day. My kids hate it when I stuff their backpacks with a ream of paper and send them on the bus.
  12. I've already done that. Wouldn't it be easier to say we need a $20 supply fee from each parent (I know, at least 1/2 wouldn't pay) instead of the crunch to have parents run around and try to buy? The school could buy a case of paper much cheaper than I can buy 2 reams to send in.
  13. It was a tough week, all the guys were good. Based just on last night's performances, I still say Siobhan. I hope it's not Mike, but he's had a good run. I'm still glad they saved him. I doubt it's Casey.
  14. They typically have 2 meetings per month. 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM. The meeting next week is a specially called meeting.
  15. I pretty sure the schools are already sharing nurses. I'm not sure if there is much to cut there.
  16. Apparently the SOS website hasn't updated, because she isn't listed there. Any word on anyone else entering the 19th district race?
  17. With that kind of deficit, what do you folks propose they do? it's states 90% of the budget is salaries. How do you make up the deficit without reducing staff if 90% of your budget is salaries? I hate all of this, I really do.
  18. By mid-summer about 100,000 of them.
  19. If you just base it on tonight, she would go. I just thought ALL the guys were much better than either girl. Crystal was mediocre.
