  1. lol, Now this is getting funny to read. Then hit refresh and it's totally different!
  2. I would suggest taking some classes thru the Small Business Development Center at Kennesaw College right away. It will save you a LOT of grief later and possibly a lot of money!
  3. Some how I don't think this is all of the story. USB connections are low voltage, very low voltage. Not much more the a D-cell battery. Not enough to burn anyone, even a baby or toddler. The real risk here is a small child choking on the cable.
  4. After years of working in a County Jail, I learned to read just about anything that's close to the English language.
  5. It IS a federal offense to attach or hang ANYTHING on a mailbox or stand. Regardless of what other people are doing, they are breaking the law. As for flyers on cars, don't waste your time. You will most likely get a ticket from littering because most people throw them on the ground. And please do not put your flyer in a plastic bag with a rock and then throw it in the drive way. I've come very close to throwing these back at the business that does it to me!
  6. There are many different types of cards, what type were you trying to read and what type is the laptop made for? Sounds like the 2 were different.
  7. You are required to use a state licensed general contractor to get permits in Paulding County. I do not think they make excepts anymore if its a personal residence. You can call 770-443-7571 to confirm this.
  8. Unless you purchased a computer or a copy of VISTA recently that came with the upgrade coupon, you will have to purchase the upgrade version(if you have VISTA now) from a retailer.
  9. Yes it can. I did the upgrade on a fairly fresh install of Vista with limited programs installed and it took the better part of 3 hours after all the updates. Yes, there are already multiple updates to Win7! The whole process was pretty much "hands free" and went smoothly, but as Geek recommends, a clean install is best if you have the time and knowledge to do so.
  10. Kevin is working at the Chamber of Commerce now.
  11. It depends on the type of Auction it is. If it's an "Absolute" auction, it will be sold regardless of price to the highest bidder. The other 2 types involve "reserve" prices and do not have to be sold. A word of caution, the reserve price is usually higher then the "market" price should it go on the market as a normal REO property. You have to do a proper Due Diligence before submitting an offer! Then you also have to look at "buyer's fees" charged by some auction companies. These can be as high as 20% of the bid price and is added to the total. And a large majority require cash or cer
  12. You know, the more I think about this, the more worried I get!
  13. You are correct. It was approved last year I think or early this year.
  14. Take a look at this before going any further: http://portal.hud.gov/portal/page/portal/HUD/topics/avoiding_foreclosure
  15. Kennesaw College has a branch office for the Small Business Development Center. I highly recommend you start there with your research. You have a LOT of work to do before you even think of opening the doors of your business!
  16. Ouch, now that is just plain nasty! I've had to replace a few heatsinks/fans because they were gummed up before. I think the worst bunch of computers I've seen came from a hospital. We did a rehab job of a bunch of PC for a local school that were donated by a hospital, the dust in some were more then an inch thick. How they run I had no idea. Had to borrow a electric air compressor after going thru a case of canned air.
  17. lol, that's just plain stupid! I've worked on PC's in bodyshops and woodshops that had layers of dust in them and they all still worked (but not well). Smoke has no effect what so ever on a computer
  18. There are court cases like this popping up all over. One recently made it to a state's highest court which basically ruled that 60 million mortgages could not be foreclosed on because the "note" holder did not own the "deed" to the property. That in order to foreclose, both must be controlled by the same person/group/company.
  19. And this comes from a country that doesn't allow their police to carry sidearms? lol What ever!

  21. Good post tbird, right on the point! This was a MAJOR operation that didn't just start last month. To get to this level of production it had to be going on for years. People start off small and build up to this level over a fairly long period of time. For how long, only those involved know! This is a multi-MILLION dollar operation can only been matched by drug gangs and organized crime. What amazes me is that people here are not upset that these already convicted criminals had access to the children in this community? Why is no one upset about this? I don't understand. All most people
