  1. People, the full moon has passed for the month. Please resume some form of normalcy.
  2. Try Dr. John Cook or Dr. Ballard at Piedmont. 404 355-6562.

  4. It's a great business strategy. "Hey guys. We know you love us so much that we are going to give you a whole year's advance warning that we're closing shop. Make plans now if you want to come to our concert and see us one last time. Since it's our last, you can count we'll be raising prices but after all, it's your last chance to give us money!" Seriously, I love B&D. I hate to see the duo come to an end. But you've got to hand it to them. They're smart. I wish them well.
  5. It's not just the bedside manner of the Dr. you need to be concerned about. On the last three occasions my father was in Kennestone he encountered nurses who barely spoke english. We were the ones who had to remind them to give medication. Of course this only caused him more stress which created a dangerous blood pressure situation. That's why he switched to the Drs. at Piedmont. The facility is old but the staff is top notch. You need a knowlegdeable Dr. with a good staff who works out of an acceptable hospital.
  6. I have been more than pleased with the cardiologists from both St. Joseph and Piedmont hospitals.
  7. I don't know if something is going around. If it is, it has rotten timing.
  8. I hope Maria can make it through this. For the last several years she's looked like she was near her last breath.
  9. I wouldn't even give it a second's thought. Like someone else said, he'll change his mind within 30 minutes.
  10. I have a Presto I've used for years with no complaints. If I were to buy a new one I would check on the quality of the seal gasket. Make sure it's easy to remove, clean, and replace.
  11. My God! I pray my kids don't ever do anything like this. But if they do, I hope I have friends like all of you to help me out. I have tears steaming down my face and it's not even my child. You all are amazing!
  12. I am more observant to make sure I get what I pay for. I check receipts and bills because I find an error 90% of the time. The worst offenders are restaurants. The menu will say that a drink is included in the kid's meal but I am almost always charged for it. I hate sending a check back for correction but I also hate that the companies make no bones about cheating customers. I also hate it when the menu says the kid's meal comes with a dessert and they don't offer one. Even if my kids aren't going to eat the double pack of OREO cookies I want the cookies so I can offer them to another ki
  13. OK, so two of my young ladies are fighting over some new lipgloss I bought them. I tried to talk them through this argument of the hour but nothing I said seemed to help. Normally, when they argue I make them sit on the couch and hold hands until they declare a truce. It takes them no more than 5 minutes before they start cracking up and they forget what they were arguing about. Well, this argument didn't seem to have an end so I decided to have them sit across from each other and put lipgloss on each other so they could maybe work out which shade looked best on who. After just 30 seconds
  14. Have you checked her myspace or facebook? Have you checked her friend's MS or FB? What about Twitter?
  15. Can you ask the police to do a welfare check at the boyfriend's house?
  16. I will definitely keep my eyes open. Did she leave with any money? Did she take a car? If so, what kind? Does she have a job? Did she take a few clothes or all of them? Did she still look like the pic. when she left? How long has she been gone?
  17. You're doing fine. As long as you keep introducing new stuff it will all work out. I would suggest he eats at the table with the rest of the family. He needs to see you eating different stuff and he needs to hear you commenting on how good it is. I once kept a 4 year old who only ate white food. He would eat chicken, grits, mashed potatoes and he would drink milk. He would absolutely freak out if you put anything green in front of him. I tried to get him to use chocolate pudding as finger paint and he wouldn't even touch it. So, with that in mind, you're doing great.
  18. Green beans Rice Mashed potatoes Glazed carrots cinnamon apples butter beans cream corn
  19. Is this only for the square? How about county parks within the city limits or subdivision playgrounds? Just curious.
  20. Sounds like you've chosen to make lemonade out of lemons. Just be cautious and pick your battles. After all, you could have a MIL that doesn't want anything to do with your kids. It won't be any time soon but one day you'll be able to look back and laugh about all of this.
  21. I wonder if the brother will fight it. If rights aren't restored he ends up with all the cash.
  22. I wouldn't think too much about it. People tend to be snarky when they're stressed. Just wait two more weeks and the front page will be swarmed with School Vents. After that people will be screaming because a newbie will undoutably ask what day to send the kids Trick or Treating. Finally, we'll all come together to gather money and Christmas presents for a needy family. It's just normal progression. The most human characteristic of this board is that it's moody. Besides who would really want a completely calm existence? Where would the fun be in that. When I say my prayers at nigh
  23. I was at the pool the other day and saw a little boy playing with his dad's iphone while the dad was talking to someone else. I kept hearing a lot of "giggling" coming from the phone. I was curious so when he walked by me I asked him what game he was playing. He told me it was ______________________. I hadn't heard of it before so he showed me. It was a naked female who giggled when you touched certain places! It just goes to show me how sheltered I am. I had no idea you could do that from a phone! Oh, and don't bother asking. I won't tell you the name of the game/app.
  24. How long has this been going on? Has she come in to "womanhood" yet? Lots of women experience this monthly and while pregnant. Your cycle can do strange things to you. If that's the case, it shouldn't last more than a week each month.
