  1. See that's just it. She's a comedian and a celebrity but she does not work in the singing industry. She isn't qualified to judge a singing competition. On the other hand, she represents the common person who might go out and actually buy the music. Ellen would bring a completely different view to the American Idol judging panel. I kind of think this view is too far from the original idea of American Idol. Maybe the producers decided it needed a little change up. Who knows, change may be good.
  2. I was laying in bed nursing a cold. I had the TV on Law and Order when my dad called from Plant Bowen and told me to change the channel. I sat there and cried the rest of the day.
  3. Ok. Honest question. If your recent family is history shows renal failure and you think you may be at risk in the future why would you consider donating a kidney when you know there is a good possibility that yours will fail? It would seem the failure rate in the recipient would be higher. Since the possibility of you suffering from the disease is higher it would seem like you would be putting you at a much greater risk. I'm not a Dr. so I don't know the ins and outs of it. This is just an honest question.
  4. I have one I've never taken out of the box. It was a gift (probably recycled). It's probably about 8 years old. I just always use my stove. To me it seems like it would be a lot easier to throw a frying pan in the dish washer than to clean that big, bulky electric skillet. What do you use it for that a stove and frying pan wouldn't be just as good? I just LOVE gadgets. I've always been intrigued by the toaster ovens and electric skillets but I haven't bought one because I never thought I would have a need for one. As far as the electric skillet goes, tell me how I can benefit fr
  5. I made all my kids watch. Now if they don't behave I can threaten to send them to Belize without mosquito spray!
  6. I've never used one. I guess I just didn't see the need when I have two big ovens. I usually cook for 5 people and never really considered the need for something smaller. It sounds neat. Do you really get that much use out of it? Are they only good for cooking one serving type dishes? Do you find that you actually use it for cooking or do you mostly use it for re-heating leftovers?
  7. How many are you wanting? You might want to try the farmers market. Better yet, ask West Metro Meat and Produce. Even if they don't have them in stock, they may be able to get them for you.
  8. Baby Obstacle Course. Let's say you have 5 men at the party. Prepare by hiding 5 dolls, diaper bags, strollers, and other items through the house. Bottles can be in the refrigerator. You also need to make each participant a list of items they must get from the outside market. When you say GO the men all have to find their baby, change its diaper, dress it, gather all the necessities for the diaper bag, pack the bag and take everything outside. When they get outside they have to strap the doll in the stroller and push the stroller while picking up certain items you have hidden in
  9. You should never ask a woman if she's pregnant if you don't already know the answer.
  10. wake up in Vegas and have no idea how you got there or where your clothes are
  11. DON'T... call your mother "Mommy!" go to the theater to watch a Disney movie by yourself. talk like a baby when you're trying to be sexy. attempt a back handspring just to see if you can still do it.
  12. I love fall colors. I've seen beautiful cornucopia type center pieces as well as decorative gourds.
  13. It depends on your shape and where you lose the weight. For a lot of women the first thing to go is the chest and that does nothing for the waist line fitting of a dress. I don't think there is a right answer because each body is different.
  14. I would call the non-emergency number to the sherriff and ask them. If they tell you that you can drive under certain circumstances make sure you get that person's name so you can use it if you get pulled over.
  15. Yep. That was my first thought too. When we lived in Cobb the fire department would come out every so often and flush the lines at the hydrant. Each time they did that my water was brown for a couple hundred gallons. If I were you I would call the fire department's non-emergency number and check to see if they've been flushing the lines in your area. Now I feel stupid. Please no comments of agreement. This thread was a couple days old. I should have checked the date of the OP before I posted.
  16. I have mixed feelings. I'm glad the weekend is only 4 days away but at the same time I sure do have a lot to get done in these four days.
  17. Your first responsibility is to yourself! What type of person are you? What's more important to you, the affection of friends or the knowledge that you gave someone the same respect you hope they would give you? I assume that you would want to know if it were your child or your house. Don't compromise your own integrity. Do what you think is right and let that be the end of it. If it means that you lose a friend then that only speaks volumes about them and not you. If something bad happens to these parents or children would you be able to look yourself in the mirror knowing you could ha
  18. By any chance was Geico her insurance company? I had the exact thing happen. According to the police officer whomever is listed is driver No. 1 on the police report is the one suspected to be at fault. Geico would not accept that. I also had a written statement from the officer on the scene who said where my car was hit there was no possible way it could have been my fault. Since the officer only witnessed the damage and location of the vehicles instead of the actual accident Geico was not interested. Fortunately, there wasn't enough damage to hire a lawyer but unfortunately my car still
  19. Did your wife get it out of the mailbox for you? Come on, MAN-UP! J/K
