  1. Oh, prayers on the way. When my little one had a spinal tap they told me they know results immediately by the color of the fluid. I think they were looking for meningitis. Things turned out well for us and hopefully, for your niece's child too. I'm sure times have changed. She's in a good place.
  2. There is a candy shop on the river that has the absolute best praline pecans you've ever put in your mouth. I don't have to tell you where it is. Just follow your nose. Check the docking schedules. I love watching the navy ships come in port. Sailors are sexy! One more thing. I love, love, love seafood but the whole time I was in Savannah I never had a seafood meal I enjoyed. I don't know what makes it different. Maybe it's just the water because of the river. Save your seafood cravings for later and stick with meat and vegetables.
  3. Whoa Back! What's this card thing you're talking about? I come in with my family every Friday night and nobody has ever told me anything about a card for regulars. We may have missed 3 or 4 Fridays since you first started the steak special. Hummmm. We'll have to talk this Friday. I'll be in at my regular 6:30 for the medium 10 oz with cole slaw and sliced tomotoes. I'm sure the wings are great but I'll stick with the steak. Hubby can get the wings. If I continue to do good on my diet I'll treat myself to a slice of german chocolate cake. I figure one cheat a week won't hurt.
  4. He has so many kids he may not even realize this one is gone.
  5. Then how about the Florida Keys? I just love Key West.
  6. It sounds like they were coming from Tennessee and headed to Kennesaw. I've been told there is a real problem within the woods of Bartow County. At least it seems like this incident didn't originate there.
  7. Atlantis on Paradise Island Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I can't say it enough. Take a thick wallet if you plan to visit the casino. I only saw one $25.00 table. The minimums on the rest were all $50.00 and up.
  8. You are correct. Thank you for pointing it out.
  9. Don't worry. Just join me for another adult beverage and we'll all be laughing.
  10. Don't you just know Miss Jessie would love a ride like that. What a hoot! I bet we could even raise some money to put spinners on the back!
  11. OOOOOOOOOOOHHHH! You're in trubble.
  12. MJ's goal was to disguise himself in case he ran into Elvis. The disguise didn't work. It wasn't thunder you heard the other night. It was Elvis beating the _____ out of MJ for marrying his daughter! ( I can't believe I just typed that!)
  13. OK. The younguns are settling down now. Wipeout is on.
  14. Don't ever ask that! You just might find out. Believe me, I know. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  15. Don't push it. It sounds like he isn't ready. It isn't uncommon for boys not to be fully potty trained even at 4 years old. Girls train much easier and earlier than boys.
  16. Gosh, I hope so. I think the living room walls just caved in.
  17. You better not be spreading rumors about me.
  18. My youngest said, "Look Dude, you can do whatever you want. Just don't mess with my WIPEOUT!" AAAAAHHHHH. To be young again.
  19. Chicken Parmesean with Garlic Toast and red wine
  20. The laws about being a mandated reporter are very cut and dry. If the employee even suspects abuse or neglect they must call DFACS and make a report. Even though people are falsly reported, it is the job of DFACS to dertermine the presence of abuse or neglect. I have seen families almost destroyed by false allegations. But, it doesn't matter. A mandated reporter MUST make the call. I can certainly understand hesitation in reporting but only if that hesitation lasts no more than a minute or two. Most daycare workers recieve very little training when it comes to reporting laws,
  21. It seems our county has developed a new found love for right in - right out access to commercial property.
  22. Some funeral homes do everything they can to help comfort the family. Clark's Funeral home has a children's room off the gathering area. It works great if you are comfortable with the child attending the funeral service but not the visitation. They have books, toys, and even videos. Unfortunately, I've used it a couple of times. I just didn't think my children were ready to see the body but were definitely ready to participate in the sorrow of a lost loved one. Clark's funeral home has always been good to my family. Mr. Clark even went in and entertained my children while I sat wi
  23. I've been told I could. One of the biggest compliments I've recieved came from my grandmother's ex husband. He told my mother and me that he didn't have to worry about us like he did the rest of the family. We know how to shoot a gun, clean a deer, milk a cow, catch a fish, plant a garden, can vegetables, sew, and cook a meal from sctratch. He said we would be just fine if the economy ever turned sour and the government exploded. I used to be embarassed to tell people I could do all these things. Not anymore. I am proud to be a Southern Belle. By the way, just because I
