It really is the best thing for them to go ahead and vacate the house. An eviction on their history will make it harder for them to rent even when they can afford it. IMO they need to try to avoid having the eviction filed against them.

People sure are fast to make assumptions. Let's say she's a single mom who's child has an ear infection. She has to run to the store to get meds and something to soothe the child. While there, the child is screaming in pain and there's nothing the mom can do but hurry. She's doing the best she can. I have no idea what the situation was but as a parent who has dealt with a sick child I understand there are situations where the parent is doing all they can while a third person may see it as doing nothing at all.

I would love to do that to so many people.

So what did all of you do with the tons of cow that were sold at Food Lion this weekend? I bought about 18 pounds and prepared most of it yesterday. I pre-made and froze 4 meatloaves. I cooked and froze meat with spaghetti sauce. I also cooked and froze meat with taco seasonings. My daughter mixed seasonings with some of the meat and patted out hamburger patties that we froze. We like to go ahead and mix in the seasonings then pre-freeze. The next day we take the meat and seal it in a vacuum bag. That way, it keeps the hamburger or meatloaf shape. I don't know about the crock pot but I've used the marinade sauces in the oven. I just pour the lemon pepper sauce over the chicken and bake it like normal. Hubby and the kids love it. Let us know how it turns out in the crock pot.

Call your vet if they're still open and get them to print out a copy of the shot record for the mother. Go and buy the little girl a cookie cake and some snazzy bandaids. Make sure they know how sorry you are. I'd keep your eyes open and knock on the door as soon as they get home.

Sometimes you do what you gotta do. My grandmother was lethargic and almost non-responsive. I remember the Dr. telling us my grandmother's sodium was dangerously low because she wouldn't eat and drank very little. I poured a V-8 into a glass, threw in a stalk of celery and told her it was a bloody mary. She downed it like candy and asked for another one. Within an hour or two she was back to her normal, ornery self. Be creative.
