Bentwater does a 4th of July parade every year. All the kids decorate their bikes and wagons then parade from the Bentwater Drive Pool to the Cedarcrest pool for a day long pool party. The road will only be closed for 30 minutes, just enough time for all the kids to cross the road.

I love them all! My kids are specific too. Don't worry, when they grow up you can show up unannounced and eat all the stuff in their cabinet. Just remember what they like and eat that first!

I'd be happy with a simple tomato sandwich but I think I'm going to spluge and have the BLT.

Let us know if you find a solution. I've never been successful with mildew stains.

I'm right there with you. There doesn't seem to be enough oxygen in the air.

Did Y'all hear about the 17 year old from Ga?

Yeah, she's great. I am so happy for her. -
Bentwater has lots of junior teams. Call the activity center and they will fix her up.

The pool people we've talked to said it's better if your yard is on a hill because they have somewhere to put the dirt instead of having it hauled off. Our biggest hold back is that we have a flat yard and we want the pool to be level with the ground. All the builders tell us we will have to use the dirt to build up a hill for the pool because they don't want to haul it off.

We can be old together.

Here's a picture of the pool I want. I copied it from CSD's website. The bowl you see water pouring out of is hooked up to gas and you can turn on the flames at night.

I'm looking at gunite myself. I grew up with a liner pool. The maintenance was easy enough but we had to replace the liner more than once. It was strange. There were all these little slices in the liner about 4 or 5 feet down. The company who replaced it told us it was common and caused by toenails! If you plan on entertaining often gunite is the way to go. I can see how the gunite surface would be difficult to clean but I think a good brush and properly balanced chemicals would do the trick. Also, we will be going with a salt water pool this time. It's easier on the skin and

There was someone on here last night looking to have some storefront windows tinted. Do you offer that service? If so, I think it was one of PCom's hairdressers.

It was a joke. Things have gotten pretty heavy and judgemental in this thread. I just tried to lighten it up. Sorry if I offended. A motorcycle does not equal death for every rider. We've all experienced loss be it by heart disease, drowning, allergic reactions, motorcycle accidents, etc. Even though we need to weigh the risks, we can't live a fulfilled life by living in fear. I'm not suggesting he should buy or not buy. I'm only saying I don't wear his shoes so... He came on here looking for advice on how to convince his wife. I'm sure he knows the risks.

I haven't seen the movie but I saw the trailer last week. I typically don't like those type of movies but I wouldn't mind seeing this one. The trailer looked like it would be a lot of fun.

For me I would need.... Raise your life insurance to 2 million, install a pool (of my choosing), and allow me to hire a pool boy/bartender that you will pay in advance for the next year. Oh yeah, the "girls" would like some enhancing.

I liked it. It wasn't the best but it was an enjoyable afternoon. Eddie Murphy is pretty good. It's not like your typical kid movie. Humans aren't out to destroy the world, kill all the animals, or create everlasting pollution. A broken or separated family isn't reunited. It is just about a father re-connecting with his child by opening up to her imagination.

Do you or someone you know work for the American Heart Association? I am looking to get a donated or low cost AED for our subdivision. As our community ages we have experienced several cardiac incidents. Our community is large and very active. Summer brings everybody outdoors and some of us seem to forget that we aren't 20 anymore. Anyway, I called Wellstar and they directed me to the Red Cross who directed me to the American Heart Association, who directed me to the local health department, who directed me back to Wellstar. I know several active subdivisions who've received donate

Sew It Seams. I think it's great you are offering this. How about a community service project? If we can get together a few ladies you could teach us all and we could donate them to treatment centers. If you get it organized I will provide my basement for the lesson.

What are you looking for? Are you willing to take any job out there or are you looking for a specific type? A friend of mine was in the same predicament last summer. The only thing positive for her at the time was her car. She printed up some business cards, distributed them at camps, daycares, and parks. When parents came in to sign their kids up for certain events and found the events did not fit in to thier schedule and the business would give out the card. My friend became the family's youth taxi. Now, it is her full time job. She does this in Heflin. I think she's even h

Anyone sick after eating store's Salad Bar?
GoodNeighbor replied to karenoaks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Pre-made and fast food salads are the worst foods for me. All the preservatives give me a massive migraine. I avoid the bagged salads like the plague. Just think of all the preservatives it takes to keep that stuff from wilting for the two to three weeks it sits on the shelf! I love a good salad but I have to make it myself. -
Some People Think Health Care Reform Won't Benefit Them
GoodNeighbor replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If it's so good please explain to me why my Dr. is no longer able to give vaccinations to people with private insurance. My ins. covers it but my Dr. can't provide it. People receiving govt. assistance can get vaccinations but the rest of us have to go to the health dept. Where can you find any sense in that? According to Dr. Khan, this is one of the first steps in forcing people to be reliant on the govt. for their health care. -
I thought he was the bomb. Until, he made a not so nice remark about Dale Earnhardt after he died. You can trash almost anyone but I'm a little protective of my "3". Prior to that, he was my afternoon entertainment for quite a while. I wish him well. Everyone makes mistakes.

Nope. It's not just you.

AWWWWWW. I hate that.

Some People Think Health Care Reform Won't Benefit Them

A little off topic and why as a person who has private insurance I am hating government health care more and more. I have been using the same Dr. for about 10 years. In the past couple of years he has started accepting more and more medicare/medicaid patients. I have no problem with whom he treats. It wouldn't be any of my business even if I did. When I tried to schedule my children for vaccinations I was told they can no longer provide that service to my children. What?!?!!! According to the office staff, now that the majority of their patients are recieving government health car
