  1. You're probably right LPPT. Hmmmm, wonder if the empty Huddle place would work?
  2. A spoon of peanutbutter and a glass of cold milk about 30 minutes before. Dolomite, a mineral, is in milk and it's a natural sleep aid. We also run a fan in our bedroom for "white noise." Helps to focus/concentrate on that noise to slow your brain down into sleep.
  3. I did something similiar for our deck gazebo, but with shower curtains! I don't sew at all, so just raided Wal-mart for fabric shower curtains. There was already a track in the framework of the gazebo, so the shower curtain rings worked perfect. They've been up since 2010 and show no signs of mildew/mold or even fading. We do keep them pushed to the side when not in use, so they get out of the sun.
  4. Next time they're out there smokin', we'll stop by! A D O R E ribs. If they're better than Jones' BBQ in Bremen, I'll be on them like a rat on a Chee-to.
  5. We'll take the Best man and bridesmaid This is us
  6. Yay, website was updated with the Encore presentation. Just bought me and Mr. ChocoMare our tickets to eat & participate
  7. Rats... they haven't updated their website yet to buy on line.
  8. My best friend had shingles, age 37. Most of hers, tho, were internal in the shoulder (alas, the same shoulder where she's had 3 rotator cuff surgeries). The rash only came out on the inside of and down her arm. She was in agony. Thankfully she gets medical care at the V.A. (disabled army vet), so can get the shot during her next visit.
  9. Quality Chef - in the dead Food Lion shopping center, intersection of Hiram-Sudie & Scoggins on 61. Nothing fancy to eat at, so about 90% take out. It's the real deal.
  10. http://www.innisfreeinn.com/ We honeymoon'ed here and returned for our 5th anniversary. We're going back next year for our 18th. It's quiet, UBER romantic, very stylish without being snobby.
  11. While I realize we could do it ourselves, homie doesn't like to mess with gas things. Thanks for the info!
  12. ...who can remove our old one safely and install the new one properly, without charging a fortune. It's just a regular 30" range (Maytag), so nothing uber gourmet/fancy. Located off Marshall Fuller Rd - south of Dallas Nebo.
  13. Sorry, I have heard Brian Free MANY times and --well-- I do not believe that dude ever sang with him, live that is
  14. Easiest in the world: 1 Boston Butt, trim the fat off. 1 Large Bottle Kraft Original BBQ Sauce Put pork in crock pot, pour bottle of sauce over. Cover. Cook on low 6 - 8 hours. Pull and serve. That's it!
  15. For a steak comparable to Ruth's Chris but without the price, Copeland's on Barrett Pkwy in Marietta. They have the same ovens as RC, so your steak comes out sizzling. Amazingly good.
  16. Along with the stripped room idea, get and read Have a New Kid By Friday by Dr. Kevin Leman - comes in Kindle version too.
  17. Only good thing about watching that show is it spurs you on the clean out and declutter! When the A & E version came out, I went nuts. Gave away 2 pick up truck loads worth of stuff to a not-for-profit thrift shop and threw away the rest. Felt great!!!
  18. WONDERFUL place!!!! http://www.lakeallatoonainn.com/ It's a one-stop shop place. Wonderful owner. Great accommodations. Very pretty setting
  19. I'm in the "Be THRILLED he does it." camp My man does 99% of the laundry too. He likes it and it's one less thing I have to do. He's a good egg
  20. Alas, it is sadly VERY real. My best friend works part time for a clean up company that specializes in hoarders and situations where a deceased person has lain for some time. It's NOT pretty at all, hence why the pay is so good. Most ironic case was when they cleaned the 3 BR condo of a prominent professor of psychology from GA State University. There was 2 feet of debris everywhere and don't even ask about the bathroom. It took Courtney 5 days of work, while enrobed in a Tyvek Suit wearing a respirator & industrial gloves, to get it clean. Worst of all, most hoarders return
  21. Everyone is screaming for the DA to indict Andrea Sneiderman for this. But seriously: IF the D.A. had sufficient, hard evidence to prosecute her, don't you think he would have already done so -OR- arrested her after the trial? The case against her is circumstantial at best. I'll bet you any dollar amount that the police are tearing their hair out because they can't get enough on her to sustain an indictment. Personally, yes, I believe she was involved - but opinion doesn't get you a conviction.
  22. I put this on my FB Notes a while ago. Seems appropriate to share here. (Praying for your friend, C.D.) My comments: You know. You can read this as you've probably read other "words of wisdom." You'll probably say what millions of others have said many times, "Oh that's such good advice." And yet, you never DO any of it. I challenge you today not to just read it and go on the same way. But apply some of it.... Trust me, when Real Friends come over, they don't see the clutter or the dirty floor because they're NOT LOOKING AT THE FLOOR...they're looking at you, enjoying some good food
