  2. I have to agree with Ugadawgs98. I drive on Bill Carruth Parkway pretty regular and head south towards Douglasville. Why should the State - or anyone else - have to spend money to put up signs and install sensors on an intersection that will ultimately be reworked anyway when the construction is complete? Without sensors, it would be a nightmare waiting to turn south if right turns were restricted. Of course, as in any similar situation, the drivers on Bill Carruth should do exactly what the sign says, "YIELD". For the drivers on Bill Carruth, YIELD does not mean stop however, it means allow t

  6. Perfect!! If you don't mind, go ahead and tell me your name so I can mark it on the guest list that you will be playing those roles. Usually we just ask people when they are coming in but it soooo much easier if you already know who is going to do it. Thanks!
  7. Glad you remembered to check back to the website. It's going to be a fun night! Everybody gets to participate a little but we will need a bridesmaid, a best man and as father of the bride who actually have roles. The bridesmaid doesn't have to speak, the father only says two works and the best man offers a toast. Let me know if any of those roles interest the two of you. Otherwise, see you at the show!
  8. The murder mystery dinner theater scheduled at the Olive Tree in Hiram on April 28 is a sell-out! There were so many demands for tickets that CAST added one more show on May 12. Go to www.castplays.com to buy tickets or buy them at the Olive Tree in Hiram.
  9. At the Olive Tree in Villa Rica they have a special menu that usually has at least four or five different choices including a vegetarian selection. These are regular menu items at the same portion size. You also get salad and garlic rolls and there's usually several dessert choices and tea or soft drinks. The entree choices always include at least one chicken dish, the gyro plate, and spaghetti and meat balls and one or two other choices. I think anyone can find something they like and the OT food is great. Hope you plan to attend!
  10. I love Gold's Gym on Hospital Drive in D'ville and I'm definitely and out-of-shape older woman. There is such a huge variety of people there you just blend in with the crowd. There is also a women only room and several smaller areas that keep you somewhat isolated. Love the steam room and whirlpool there!
  11. The Olive Tree in Hiram will be presenting its first ever murder mystery dinner theater on Saturday April 28. The play "Murderous Crossing" is a hilarious Agatha Christie style performance presented by CAST (Community Alliance for Stage and Theater), a satellite group from the Douglasville Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $36 plus tax and include three course dinner, drink, tip and the show. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.castplays.com or by calling the Olive Tree at 770-439-0203. Also visit their Facebook page at Cast Productions (Douglasville). CAST has been performing for seve
  12. The accident was actually almost at the intersection of Hickory Leaf Drive (used to be Phillips Lee Road). A white SUV went down the embankment and what looked like a white Nissan sports car was pretty banged up in the middle of Hiram Sudie Road. I was coming home to Hickory Leaf and got rerouted and had to go all the way around and come in from the other end. Had to explain to the deputy at McClung where I lived and he let me pass. It looked pretty serious. I have no idea how it happened because they looked too far past the intersection to be coming out of Hickory Leaf. Sometimes you have to
