While the 2nd Sunday of May is Mother's Day, did you know that the 2nd Saturday of May is "Birthmothers Day?" Mr. C'Mare and I had dinner there last night. AWESOME hush puppies--super crisp outside, tender inside (not glommy), just the right amount of onion to sweet. I had the fried bay scallops... very tender, cooked just right. Hubby had the grilled flounder... he loved it. Apparently word of the "malt vinegar" slaw got back to the chef, cuz that's not what we had last night. It was wonderful! I am NOT a big slaw fan, so am very picky. I ate the whole thing Did suggest, tho, that they add shredded carrot.
