  3. I have the same issue. It's intermittent tho.
  4. Mommy2 is right on. The Emotionally Crippled Human is the one who is "stuck" at whatever age they either experienced a trauma or started abusing a substance. I have a 38 year old friend who is Stuck at age 6.... the year she was first molested. She received no counseling and, alas, family didn't beileve her. She's been an on/off crack addict for 20 years. She acts, thinks, reacts as a child would. Fortunately over the past 2 years, she's done some maturing but yet the lure of crack will have her right back at that emotional/inside age in a flash.
  5. Do you need a Trimmer for the donkey?
  6. Sorry to hear they're closing, but like others said, they were doomed because they refused to invest the capital to improve & update the facilities, increase signage (cuz if you didn't know they were there, you'd missed it every time) and to offer more open bowling opportunities, not just leagues. So don't blame the competition and take pot shots.... take & accept responsibility.
  7. You've done your job. He's an adult making adult choices and suffering the adult consequences. If you bail him out, you're effectually crippling him from learning to 1) not repeat the unlawful behavior; and 2) stand on his own two feet. Now do what I say: Take your right hand. Put it behind you and rub up and down. Feel that bumpy thing? that's your SPINE. Use it!
  8. Oh yeah. Dr. Mike knows me too. He saved my Percheron last summer!
  9. Great! Tell her Susan Auten sent ya!!!
  10. Dr. Rose Coker of West Georgia Veterinary Associates - she's been my equine vet for 9 years. Strictly equine tho, so don't know if that'll help (770) 854-4572
  11. Hubby and I went Saturday night. One word review: Meh. Did like the popcorn crawfish appetizer. Great remoulade. He ordered the Tchou (whatever) chicken and tasso potatoes. He liked it but the portion is small. I had the soft-shell crab plate. HORRIBLE cole slaw. Nothing but cabbage & rice wine vinegar. No flavor. Ick. Just sat there. The crab were cooked right but the chef is far too heavy-handed with the creole seasoning. All I tasted was SALT. We did order dessert (beignets) and coffee but it took 5 minutes to get the coffee, which was so strong and old it
  12. If they don't erect a GIANT sign, no one but us P'commers will know they're there. Alas, that was Dugout's fate Hey Papi----, tell David to lease the dead Huddle House location and get back in business. I was soooooooooooo craving one of his burgers.
  13. Ditto to mrnn on Briar Patch. Blech.
  14. I pray no one was hurt. An acquaintance of mine & her husband have their barrel racing horses on a farm towards the end of the cul de sac
  15. Adamson Roofing. Les Adamson, the owner, personally came when we were taking bids for our roof. He priced it in the middle of the other two, but we chose Adamson because HE came personally - not his minions. He was professionally dressed, prepared with information for us to look at, NO pressure at all. They showed up at 06:30, carefully removed our Dish satellite, ripped off the old roof, properly installed the new (new felt paper, aluminum flashing & caulk at ridges, fixed a gutter [didn't have to do that, but did it because "it made it right"]). We had all new top-of-the-line Owe
  16. It's idiotic things like this that remind me of my favorite quote from renown Christian Apologist, Ravi Zacharias: We have educated ourselves into imbicility.
  17. Dish customer of 12 years. Very pleased. Yeah, heavy storms will knock it out, but use that time to read!
  18. Park it at the curb with a FOR SALE sign on it.... we've sold 2 this way without the hassle.
  19. I'll eat some tonight at Happy Hawg, Route 61 or Merle's to celebrate the swine!
  20. Bumping this back up cuz I went to the new location for Chicago Delights for lunch today and it's wonderful! About 4 X bigger than the old hole-in-the-wall, super clean, good seating, quiet atmosphere and more food choices since they have actual "cooking" capabilities. Go past the old location, stay in the right lane. At the light/right split for Powers Ferry, bear right. Enter on the left, right next to Pizza Hut To Go/across from Baldini's Subs.
  21. For ribs, I'll stick with Hwy 61 BBQ. Tender, full of flavor & thick sauce on the side.
  22. Hubby and I went back Thursday night. I had the ribs & pork combo. FAB pork as before... so-so ribs. Not much flavor. Needed salt. He had the brisket again and almost licked the tray. Slaw was awesome.
  23. Hubby and I went Thursday night. He had the brisket with slaw & stew. I had the chopped pork with beans & onion rings. My pork was very good. Liked the choice of sauces. I did a mixture of Vinegar base & Sweet. Hubby's brisket was excellent! Beans were nothing special... rather mushy actually. I tried hubby's slaw and, while I'm not normally a fan of it, HH's is the best I have had in a long time!! We'll definitely go back and try the ribs next time!
  24. Amen Mom!!!! Plugs pulled. Phone handed over Tablet handed over That's that
