Uh-Oh! You have our creeping crud virus? Starts with your stomach, then into your throat and head. Sorry...we are still trying to get over it here.
  4. HAHAHAHAHAHA! See...I am sick today, and my throat hurts, and I am laughing so loud you are killing me . This is ME. Britaini makes fun of me because I get lost coming back from somewhere I drove to because everything looks different IN REVERSE. Also, I've lived in Powder Springs off and on since the mid 70's...I got lost coming home from Douglasville because I got a tad bit confused with the landmarks. Forget me driving somewhere in the daytime, and then trying to find the same place at night, everything is different at night. Yes, I was born this way and I don't think I was drop
  5. THANK YOU!!!!! For sharing the link...I am laughing my ass off as I type. Yes. Literally. My ass just fell off.
  6. I hate to break it to you but I was wearing Docs in the 80's (still am ) . I was born in the 60's. and graduated from highschool in '84. We had REM, The Clash, The Sex Pistols(late 70's), Adam Ant , Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Misfits, The Ramones, Suicidal Tendencies ... never listened to a hair band, myself. Yes, we definitely had it going on, lol.
  7. BANGING on my door, PERIOD...will have you greeted with my husband and one of his many home defense friends. It has happened before.
  8. I live in Cobb, and I have no problem with it. Just like everyone else our property values have dropped so much we will pay less this year than last ...and emergency personnel services are essential.
  9. Thoughts, well wishes and hoping for comfort in their loss.
  10. That is exactly the same thing I do. Ginger wet cuts my hair and I leave with it wet . When I get home I dry it myself, so I am always happy with it. The cut is amazing, and the style is all mine .
  11. ((((HUGS)))) I think you are pretty frickin' awesome...just saying. It takes a strong woman to do as much as you do, and I applaud you for it.
  12. Nah. I think the term 'self medicating' has been around for quite awhile. Perhaps you would care to educate yourself? Sometimes young adults (even older adults), have a fear for whatever reason...in seeking professional help for issues of deep depression, etc. They prefer to self medicate. Be it alcohol, drugs, whatever. At times, they take it too far. I don't know the details, but possibly the case in this situation. Tragic, either way.
  13. That would be 'butt', not 'but'. Last time I checked this was a public message board, and I'm thinking if you can voice your opinion then honey...so can I. Have a good one.
  14. I'm curious as to why anyone thinks the OP is worried about how many hits his topic gets or how many pages it turns into? Really? Who gives a sh*t??? Isn't this his board? I guess he can stick his topics anywhere he damn well pleases. Or maybe I just haven't been around long enough to know how things really work. Really...who cares? I apologize in advance for just not giving a flying flip.
  15. I was very sad to hear this news today. We too, have children her age...and we have dealt with children with addiction. When I heard the news today I actually thought of one of them, and the same path they might be on (self medicating) had they not sought help for their issues. She was extraordinarily talented, her voice was unique. She did not need all of the flash and shock of some other performers to get her point across. A wasted life. I feel for her family, and I hope she has finally found peace.
  16. Just so you know the Medifast is low-glycemic , and there is a maintenance program which I would imagine would be great for someone just needing to lower the blood sugar and not lose weight. It might be worth checking into for him, just based on the fact that the snacks are so fantastic they will satisfy his sweet tooth without giving him all of the other things toxic to his system. Again, good luck to you both. I really do feel for you .
  17. Medifast. DH is almost 49, was severely overweight and pre-diabetic. It was his wake-up call. We've been on the medifast program for 5 weeks now, I think? Ray has lost almost 40 lbs, and his sugar is completely under control. Never hungry, quite the opposite. Sometimes it's difficult to eat all of the food we need to. I feel better than I ever have in my life, more energy, fewer headaches... just all around better. Ray would tell you the same thing. His sleep apnea also seems to have disappeared, which is a bonus as well. He is a commercial truck driver and his CDL was at risk if he
  18. That would be mine, with the exception of the cold beer. I would trade for cold cognac...an entire bottle .
  19. Beside the fact that we got to hug on each other a few times !!!BONUS!!!
  20. (((Hugs, hugs, and more hugs)))...no words will help. I am SO sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine.
  21. I thing there are more 'evil poor', than evil rich...lol. I agree that rich is having more money than you could ever spend in your lifetime.
