  1. You and me both. They just emailed me back and wanted me to come by tonight by 6:30 pm. I emailed back and asked about Friday instead. We shall see...they wouldn't even have to pay me to be a zombie, lol.
  2. Lol, I'm not sure how much running I want to do but I am all up for shambling and scaring the crap out of people .
  3. I just emailed them, not sure how many middle aged zombies they need but I would SO do it, lol.
  4. I am actually going to email them and see if they need anymore zombies...AWESOME!!!
  5. OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! Thank you for sharing this link . I love zombie anything! I have a HUGE collection of zombie literature, and movies. You can never have too many zombies, imho . I was invited to the Atlanta Zombie walk and after party but alas...it is the same night as the Dexter premier this year, and I have to see Dexter.
  6. I like them for different reasons. Even though they let you hear some of what goes on in his head in the show, you are seeing so much more in the novels. On the other hand Michael C. Hall brings a lot more 'humanity' to the character in his portrayal. I like his relationship with Rita's children better in the books than on the show. So it's kind of 'six of one and half dozen of another' kind of thing. Both are fantastic for different reasons and I think together between the two of them you get a better idea of who he really is.
  7. Yes he did, you could tell in some of his recent (earlier this year) press photos he was wearing a little hat to cover the hair loss. My understanding is that he is in full remission, which made me very happy. Besides the obvious not wanting anyone to be ill, no one else could play that character as well as he does.
  8. Have you read the newest one, 'Dexter is Delicious' ? I need to finish #4 so I can get #5, lol. Although that doesn't stop me from adding to my tbr (to be read) shelf. I have 280 something waiting in line on there now, lol. Being a bibliophile and working in a bookstore is completely counterproductive, lol. I was also just accepted as a book reviewer for Monster Librarian, which means I review for books instead of pay. I think my hubby needs to build me a bigger house .
  9. Yeah, Deb is a mess sometimes, lol. Did you know that she (Deb) is his wife in real life? It's kinda sweet ...I LOVE MIchael C. Hall '6 Feet Under' is one of my favorite shows of all time. He is a fantastic actor.
  10. Have you read any of the books by Jeff Lindsay? The series is actually based on the books and they are amazing . I've read up to book number 4 which picks up on the honeymoon, but I had to set it to the side for some other reading I needed to do, and now there is a 5th one I grab . I am so excited to see where they take the character, and I know a lot of people that had a fit when he found Rita. We are a sick family I think everyone in our living room erupted in applause. Her character was killing me this last season, lol. All of the whining and nagging, but I will admit in those last t
  11. I am SO excited that the new season starts on Sunday evening !!! We are planning our family Dexter viewing party, lol. Anyone else happy dancing like I am?
  12. I agree, and honestly that would scare the crap out of me .
  13. Hubby is telling me he thinks their server is down.
  14. We actually have a list at the store of books that have been on the Banned Books list. You would be shocked to see what some of them are, and the reasons they were banned. I don't know about you but the more you try to keep me away from something the more I want to see it, lol. Here are just a few that shocked me: My favorite book of all time...Ray Bradbury's 'Fareheit 451' ironic and stangely apropos that it would be banned. Anne Frank's 'The Diary of Anne Frank' 'Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' George Orwell's 'Animal Farm' John Steinbeck's 'Grapes of Wrath' William Golding's 'Lord
  15. Call me old fashioned (and my youngest is 21) but I would never even have considered a babysitter under 15. I know I didn't babysit until I was that age and looking back I wonder just how mature I was, lol.
  16. Don't forget Patricia Sprinkle!!! You love her too .
  17. Cormac McCarthy is an amazing author. I did enjoy the film version of 'The Road' as well . I am a HUGE fan of apocalyptic/post apocalyptic fiction. I would have cried at the end but I was eating crab legs while watching the movie and crab legs induce such a state of euphoria that I was unable to shed a tear . On a related note...I am going to see Resident Evil with the hubby this weekend because I LOVE me some ZOMBIES!!!
  18. So true! What frightened me was reading the comments posted at the bottom of the article I linked. There were so many people supporting this guy. I am absolutely sure his membership will increase due to this publicity. Kind of reminds you of those nuts of Westboro Baptist *gulp*. He could not have paid for the amount of press he is getting with this ridiculous stunt.
  19. Very scary. My mother was killed 7 years ago on September 19th by a Cobb County school bus. The woman ran the red light right at Florence rd and 278 (in front of the Waffle House) and tried to blame my mother. 5 witnesses backed up Mom's innocence in the situation. Point being, getting into a tussle with a bus is never a good situation. I am practically paranoid to this day and always pause at lights to make sure everyone has stopped as they are supposed to. I am particularly careful around school busses. I'm glad everyone was alright.
  20. My husband said the exact same thing. The guy is a cult leader...coincidence that his last name is 'Jones' ???
  21. If this information has already been posted I apologize. If not, I thought it was pretty interesting to add to the discussion. Make sure and read the "D.W.O.C's 'Academy Rulebook', if you can manage to weed through the spelling errors, grammatical issues and just in general insanity. My link
