Sometimes I flash them when I see an oncoming car that is obviously going way too fast... even if there aren't any coppers. Certainly slows 'em down some for the next couple miles.

I'm curious about this too.

Cheesy! We just had biscuits & gravy tonight.

Okay... this may or may not be based on a true story, but I can certainly see it happening. Kids identify flavors by their color: Red=Cherry, Yellow=Lemon, Green=Lime, Purple=Grape & so on..The teacher gave them all HONEY lifesavers. None of the children could identify the taste. The teacher said, 'I will give you all a hint. It's what your mother may sometimes call your father.' One girl looked up in horror, spits her lifesaver out & yelled, 'Oh my Gosh! They're a$$holes!!!! -------------------------- This one is true. On a really dark night our power went out and and it w

I have been wanting a Philly swiss steak sandwich
Chelle replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The best one I ever had was in Philly. I was preggo and had to fly up there to the Children's Hospital because of complications. Anyhow, it was sooooo good, but so greasy. I ended up hugging the twalet while waiting for our flight home. I make a mean french dip. I usually throw some peppers and onions on it... pretty dang close to a cheesesteak... but not so greasy. -
Hopefully the bus will start in the morning. I just knew that if the lights stayed on all night, at least 1 route, maybe 2, would be all messed up in the morning. Was glad to see someone turned them off. Don't know if it was a civilian vehicle or a Sheriff's car, it was dark by then. My Husband was going to go over and see if he could turn them off, but I was worried that someone would think he was doing something wrong.

Oooh! That's a great show! That whole spring run was spectacular! My boys just put on whatever I lay out for them. Feelin' lucky.

Mods, you can close this thread, if you'd like. Someone just turned off the lights.

Looking at Ragsdale from the front, it's the bus parked furthest to the right. I noticed the lights about an hour ago, but didn't think much of it... just noticed that the lights are still on. I'm sure no one's at the bus barn at this hour. Are there any bus drivers out there that know who to call?

That's what I needed to be doing all these years. I've thrown very little away over the last 15 years I had kids in school. One of them has graduated, one is in 9th grade and one is in 6th. I've got soooooooo many boxes of schoolwork in the attic. I do recommend keeping everything for at least one semester, in case a teacher says something wasn't turned in... or enters the grade incorrectly. I had this happen a couple years ago... the teacher entered the wrong grade and I had to prove it with the test I had saved.

13 & 11 year old (9th & 6th graders) have to be in bed by 10, but I let them watch a movie to fall asleep to. They are usually asleep by 10:30. They get up at 6:30. On weekends, bedtime is midnight.

Two of my kiddos have it... it seems to happen every year, shortly after they start school. They have both complained of a sore throat, sneezing & runny nose and one is now coughing. I haven't noticed any fever though.

Funny. My Husband and kids love Hamburger Helper too... I don't like it, but that's what we had last night (double cheeseburger macaroni), with a side of Brussels sprouts. I just ate the sprouts.

I've never been, so I don't know... but... if your Mother went a few years ago and hasn't stopped talking about it, then it seems like a no-brainer... do it for her. If she has a blast and you don't, at least you spent a few hours doing something that brought her some happiness. If you like it, sweet... everyone wins and you can make it a regular/annual thing.

Last night's leftovers... Shredded Chipotle Beef Quesadillas....YUM!

I had horrible all-day sickness with my first 2 for the first 5 or 6 months, then randomly until the end of the pregnancy. With my third, I had no sickness at all. All 3 are boys.

Middle son started high school and youngest started middle. Both had good days. The only complaint was from my middle son, who said he spent most of his lunch time in line and by the time he got his food, lunch was over... said he got 5 bites. On a positive note, he said those 5 bites were really good, lol. I'm sure the first week or so of lunch is pretty hectic and will get better.

Does anyone know anything about the woman & 2 kids
Chelle replied to Chelle's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My husband said he saw an older black lady and 2 teenagers... a boy & a girl. If anyone happens to see them and has a chance to stop and talk to them, please let us know. I'd check back myself, but my vehicle stopped running about a month ago, so my husband has the only vehicle and he works a lot. -

A Mom & 2 teens there too? I didn't think to ask my husband if the teens were boys or girls... I'll find out when he gets back home.
