I've got a roast with veggies in the crockpot. Also serving broccoli with butter sauce, broccoli cheddar rice & fried okra... maybe a salad.

I've definitely contemplated a brick one, lol. Our actual mailbox was in pretty bad shape... over the years, many people have played mailbox baseball with our mailbox. I'm just frustrated because our post was fine... so now hubby has to dig out the post that's still in the ground... and we have to go buy a post and mailbox. I'm also frustrated because the person didn't stop. They KNEW they hit it... they didn't side swipe it or anything... they hit it head on. I also want to add, that we're quite certain it was a white car.

Seriously, someone just totally wiped out our mailbox... it's now on the other side of the driveway... post and all. (I'm on Holly Springs Rd., btw) Anyhow, would have been nice if the person would have stopped and apologized... or offered to help pay for a new one. I realize it's slick out there and it could have happened to anyone... but it takes a real meanie to keep going. So, if you live down Holly Springs and your loved one comes home with a nice new dent... please tell them thanks for me.

I was sorry to read it too... it happened on Goldmine Rd. While I haven't been personally affected by this in a tragic way, I know there are many that have, tonight.

I've been listening for hours... they are dealing with so much, and I don't see how they could be doing any better. and for anyone complaining... cough cough If the worst you have to deal with, is sitting in your car for awhile (or your Hubby had to)... you got off easy. There are many injured people out there... and so many dire situations. I know at least one family lost a loved one tonight.

Mine are all home safe. I hope the same for all of you, as well.

I just wanted to add that I got a desktop computer from Nick last month. He stands behind his computers and even went a step beyond, by installing a video card that would support my HD monitor.

I didn't realize that St. Jude's took hair donations. I know with Locks of Love, you just put the ponytail in a ziplock bag, then in a padded envelope, along with a short form and mail it to them.

Just wanted to say thanks to CedarcrestPC (Nick) for my new (to me) computer! It's so much faster than my old one. No problems so far, except I can't get the resolution I want with my 23" widescreen... I searched, unsuccessfully, for a driver update for the video card... but overall, it's a great computer and much better than what I had... and the price was right! Thanks!

My 10 year old son has been growing out his hair for several years with the intention of donating to Locks of Love. He has decided that he's finally ready! We've been to a local place for trims, but I don't know how good they are at detailed cuts. He's got an idea of what he wants, but we're not sure what will work with his hair. So, we're looking for some suggestions on styles that are collar-shoulder length... and we want to find someone who's great at cutting hair. Here's what we're working with... I'm not sure where you're at. I'm in Yorkville. I can check the ram in my kids' computer and see if it's compatible... they have 2x256 in their dell 3000. I appreciate all of your help. If I can't get this resolved, I may need to talk to you about the computers you're selling... specifically the premium config dell optiplex. I've also been comparison shopping online for 2 laptops for Christmas... something $250 or less, for each. (been looking at refurbished on buy.com, overstock.com, etc.)I'd like to hear what you've got in that price range... something that can handle gaming... not heavy
