I think that the boss wanted to have an affair with the wife, but she refused him. So, he was trying to take the husband out of the equation.

I would be willing to bet that if the carving on Stone Mt were not there and if the other park items created by man were not there, then Stone Mt would be looked at as a big annoying rock that we had to go around to build a road. The beautiful lake at Stone Mountain is man made and would not have been there had it not been for the carvings.

Everyone always thinks this is a joke, but my brother and I both witnessed this. When we lived in northern Virginia, we always put out a pan of birdseed in the winter. Support Groups can be great, if you are ready to open up to them. When my Mom had breast cancer, she went to a support group at Saint Joseph's hospital. She remembers one lady in there who was there because her family thought she should go. This lady had trouble admitting she had cancer much less sharing and healing. You can only get out of a support group what you are willing to put into it. Talking to others about it helped my mom. But, after she left the group, she was helped more by comforting others, one on one, who were beginning the treatments. The groups are not for everyone.

The day my daughter was born, her cousin was killed the same way. Mom had a doctors' appointement. Dad was holding the baby and sent the toddler in the house. She slipped out the front door and walked behind the truck. Mom never saw her. She died in Mom's arms. This is a very hard thing for both the parents and the responders. They will all need lots of prayers for years to come.

Here's hope for the future. My brother used to follow the crowd. Drink. Skip school. Cause my parents stress. He just retired as an Officer from the Army. He has his MBA and a good job. He is a good husband and father. and he now attends church every week. There were times we questioned whether or not he would make it past his teen years. The military does great things for boys. It turns them into men. Twenty-three years ago, my brother left for Army basic training. His offical last day was this past Sunday. In that time, the army paid for his education. They sent him to Texas where he met his wife. They taught him pride and responsibilty. When he retired this week, he had his MBA and a job with Edward Jones. He greatly appreciates the military for this. His wife became very involved with other military families while he was in Iraq.
