  1. You should have offered to sell them to her for $2 each.
  2. If I had a body like that, I'd wear it everywhere.
  3. Because not everything is available in that one area so I have to walk around anyway. Plus, for example, they put one brand of organic milk in the "health food" section, and another brand in the regular section. There is no rhyme nor reason to their placement.
  4. "The Day After". It's a totally depressing, over the top, made for tv movie about the nuclear bomb. Scared the snot out of me as a kid, and still did as an adult. Oh yeah and "Soylent Green". Hahahahaa, it's a classic. All the "Airplane" and "Hot Shots" movies. Loooooooveeee those! And a sappy one, "Out of Africa" with Robert Redford and Meryl Streep.
  5. So people like you get creeped out by them. They do it for shock factor and apparently it worked on you. I pay them no mind...to each their own.
  6. I know this is going to sound odd but I have found Ingles to have the best and most affordable organic and gluten free foods in this area (not including produce). They are the easiest to find too since the shelves are usually marked with a little sign stating that they are gluten-free, etc. I despise going to Kroger because they make you shop in one little section like some kind of wacky, health freak. I want to shop like everyone else does, not corraled into a little corner like I have cooties. I always enjoy my Wholefood's Shopping Day. I wait until I need to stock up on specialty item
  7. Wholefood's/Harry's in Marietta has a HUGE selection of gluten-free.
  8. Maximum Auto on E. Foster Ave in Dallas (just off Merchants). Jimmy and Sherry are THE BEST! 770-443-5499
  9. I'd love to know the cost too. I live so close I could walk if it wasn't 500 degrees outside. It would save me the $30-$40k pool that my husband want to put in.
  10. I have a few beautiful old ones that have not bloomed yet. In fact, most of the crepe myrtles in my neighborhood haven't bloomed yet.
  11. Ours went down $2000. Its paid off and we are renting it out so hopefully we'll make some of our total loss back in the longgggggg run. Does anyone know if I removed the homestead with the county, do I also have to do it with the City of Dallas? I don't even know if the city has any homestead exemption in the first place. Just wondering...I don't want to get into trouble or anything.
  12. I have had it for over a year now and still love it. I'll never go back to Comcast....ever. Yes, there have been numerous posts about this subject. I'm sure you'll find them by doing a quick search.
  13. I'd like to know what subdivision in Paulding Cty is $200 a MONTH? FYI to OP, Brookstone sells membership to their facilities.
  14. If our servicemembers have to sumbit to random drug tests, than WHY OH WHY cannot people receiving welfare submit to the same tests? Do they have more "constitutional rights" than those serving this country? I guess the ACLU thinks so.
  15. I have ATT UVerse (for over a year now) and I'd NEVER go back to Comcast. Unfortunately, it's not available in all areas.
  16. How cool and definitely bragworthy. I wish that someday I could meet the family of the little boy who gave my nephew his liver two years ago today. Transplants are so miraculous
  17. When I start feeling bad for myself, I always try to remember that no matter how bad I think I have it, someone ALWAYS has it worse. My husband is 7000 miles away but I still know it could be A LOT worse
  18. Whenever I dream of a helicopter...it crashes in real life. In fact I remember telling my husband years ago to be careful on the helo flight. There wasn't enough room for all the Marines, so he put one Marine on th next flight. It was that next helo that crashed and killed the last Marine. So sad. I certainly dont think I can foresee the future. But if I dream about a helicopter, something bad usually happens.
  19. My friend's house was robbed with their two Boxers loose in the home. I'm sure the dogs probably begged a treat off the robbers and then let the bad guys go about their way. My English Bulldog would not have even woken up if someone broke in. Unless it's a trained attack dog, I doubt it would do much.
  20. You MUST stop to get some squeeky cheese curds. THE BEST!
  21. This is the one I use (sorry if it's already been posted above) gaassessors.com
  22. The thought of a body rotting 6 feet under seems more gross to me. I don't care as long as it doesn't create some horrific ecological disaster.
  23. That is why I keep my alarm armed when I'm home. The thought of someone coming into my home while I'm here scares me to death. Yes, I have a weapon (or two or three). But I don't ever want to be in the position of having to use it if I can help it.
  24. When we were looking for a larger house, we specifically went to Cobb. I was afraid of buying a house in a half finished subdivision and that seemed like all we could find in Paulding. Unfortunately, the "ring of death" theory makes a lot of sense.
