Don't kill 'em! If it's a black snake, it's probably the King Snake. They eat the BAD snakes! So if you have black snakes, be happy because that probably means you don't have many copperheads, etc. What would you rather have? Plus, they eat mice, rats, etc. Basically, they are a good piece of gear to have around.

Have you ever tried making lists in your head? Quite often I put myself to sleep by thinking of things like; name every beer you can think of, every type of bag (douchebag, dufflebag, laundry bag, paperbag, etc), every type of fish, insects that end with "bug", first names that start with "B". You get the point. It's better than counting sheep. I usually fall asleep just when I think I can't think of one more addition to my list. If that doesn't work I get on my stairstepper. Just the thought of that will make me fall asleep.

We went with a realtor to list our rental, find tenants, screen them, and write up the leases. Our realtor knew us quite well so she ended u placing a wonderful tenant. We opted to handle the management part ourselves instead of paying anyone else. It's easy enough for me to handle on my own since I still live in the area. Our CPA will help us deal with the tax issues at the end of the tax year. Our rental home is paid off so it's a true investment. We were not stretching ourselves by buying a new home. My husband thinks Kate is hot too, but he says it's because we look alike. I'll take that LOL But he also has a slight hankering for Laura Dinney (from the Big C) so I don't know what to think about his taste. I'd be a rather hateful woman if my husband gawked at women. I find that to be tacky, disrespectful, rude, and a slightly pervy. It's fine if they look, but I don't want to know about it. So rude.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have to agree with NOT telling him at the moment. After having my husband in Afghanistan literally for years on and off now, if I have learned one thing, it's when to tell and not tell him bad news. Delaying the news won't hurt anything right now but telling your husband could create problems. He'll appreciate it much more that you told him after his stressful evening. Again, sorry for your loss.

I'm past irritated with my "code red alerts". Each time "it" calls, the message either cuts out or only rings once on my phone. What is the point if I have no idea what they are trying to tell me?
