People in the military have a CONTINUOUS amount of ironing that go into their uniforms or maybe it is just someone that likes ironed clothing? (I have an aunt that use to iron EVERYTHING!) Is it a job at a dry cleaner?

There is supposed to be a fine of several hundred dollars for littering in Paulding. With more people running continuous video cameras inside their vehicles, I am hoping more litterbugs will be caught. Especially LIT ones! You know that is probably how a lot of the wildfires we have had in GA over the past 2 years have started.

So there is no coming back for Thad? I have been praying and waiting to see what would happen. I am so sorry Melissa and family. My heart hurts for you. I pray for peace and comfort for you all.

ZZ Top is still going fairly well. Fleetwood Mac is still together minus Stevie. Aerosmith is still doing very good.

Is the area near Kennestone Hospital too far? I've been seeing Dr. Laurie Robbins at a clinic near there for well over a decade. She is in a clinic with many other doctors and several are women. I am 48 and I believe she is my age. She is very gentle and has actually performed a slightly unusual surgery on me to remove an ovary and fallopian tube that had a terratoma growing on it. Their number is 770-427-0285. ETA: This is a private clinic not associated with Wellstar, even though she performs her surgeries at Kennestone and is near there. I chose her partially because of this.

Thank you everyone for thinking of me! My husband purchased some rib eyes with potatoes at West Metro Meats and we had a nice birthday dinner at home. I am slowly creeping a little closer to that half a century mark!

Question about the new store near Rose's Store
msgastorm replied to marvinthemartian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I never owned the store or even worked in it. I am currently housebound from illness and I have only left twice in the past six months to visit my doctor in Atlanta. The 70s when I was a little girl is when most of memories of the old store took place. The wooden plank floors and at one time it had a cigar American Indian in the back, which seemed SO TALL to me when I was that young! Uncle Homer would usually give my little brother and I a snack treat. <3 In 1989 I was 20, so I really wasn't paying attention to things like the store at that point in my life. At that age it still hurt to go -
Question about the new store near Rose's Store
msgastorm replied to marvinthemartian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The original little wooden Rose's store that burned down ages ago was owned by my grandmother's uncle Homer Rose. The name of the store was created from their last name Rose. The apostrophe shows possession. Therefore, Rose's Store is correct. -
This is the 2nd time a Paulding County high school has been in the news with a negative story within a week. I have been shocked between what those stories told about our local high schools this week and the 3 & 11 year old kids wrecking NINE military vehicles in another county! Where are they getting these ideas and WHY would they act upon them? We are raising a nation of freaking adrenaline junkies of the bad kind!

You are welcome hun! I check it everyday because you can never tell when a serious topic has been sent out to the neighborhoods. A lot of people use it like an upgraded old neighborhood watch system, when suspicious characters are around and the residents need to be alerted.

www.nextdoor.com You can download the app to your phone or sign in from your computer. You set up your profile using your home address. They verify that you actually live at that address so others can't take it. There is an option to send a postcard to your neighbors inviting them to join. Most people post in the "general" topics, but since I am awake all night there have been a couple of times that I have had to post in the "emergency" topics. Such as a local tornado warning in the middle of the night.

I just saw that on WSB-TV and was stunned that the manager would do something so underhanded and heartless! You know it has to hurt that he can't use his father's name and now he can't even use his OWN NAME for his company! That was awful. I hope he sues the hell out of that manager in the end.

Can you PM me the name of Jr's business? We will be needing a new roof soon and Crist did a good job on the roof of our neighbor's home a few years ago.

I just read it is now being reported that the rifle was an airgun rifle replica. This guy might have been trying for suicide by cop.

Is Maxine kin to Kevin Rackley? He is a high school classmate. His father is Don Rackley and performed the marriage ceremony for my husband and I over 16 years ago.

It is starting to sound like the 18 year old shooter MAY have been defending himself and his mom from the ex-boyfriend who got shot. My brother did something similar when he was 17 to my mother's ex-boyfriend, who was threatening to kill all of us. The man was leaving voice messages threatening to kill us, to burn our house down with us in it, etc. This was a grown 30 something year old man at the time. My brother hit him with the blunt side of a hatchet, which put the man into a coma. The man survived and my brother went to prison for 2 years. The man supposedly needed physical therapy,

I heard that a teen shot an adult male driver and that it was a domestic situation.

Does anyone know if they provide electric scooters for their customers to use while shopping?

I have read that the emergency director in charge of the search has now called it off and turned the case over to local police. He has not been found, so I guess it will now be a missing child case with the local pd.

The Albany tornado has been officially listed as an EF3 with winds 150+mph. The scale only goes to EF5. A tornado in GA of this scale is really unusual but what makes it very rare is how long the 70 mile path was and that it occurred in January. The combination makes it extremely rare for GA. I hope and pray that your grandfather continues to heal quickly my friend. <3

Yeah. Monday I believe it was when it happened. The computer systems for ALL of customs in the entire U.S. went down for a few hours. Something about new software? My husband went to the airport Tuesday morning, but it had been resolved overnight Monday.

The National Weather Service has been showing for 2 days now that Friday and Saturday we will have a 20% chance of snow with lows in the 20s. Click on this link, then scroll down to the GA map and click on the county that you want to view a forecast. http://www.weather.gov/ffc/
