That data I referred to showing twenty warming periods in the past 420 thousand years, five of them major, came from the Vostock ice core database compiled in 1999 and still in use by the warmists themselves today. Explain the well documented Medieval Warming Period, which was warmer than today, and how it could have occurred during a period of very low carbon dioxide if carbon dioxide is the cause of Anthropogenic Global Warming. Further Explain why this period was omitted from Mann's famous hockey stick graph. I am bothering, because I want people to understand that much of the "science

Both Ken and Glen are predicting minimal accumulations of about 1/2 inch below the northern suburbs of Atlanta, and sleet/rain/snow mix south of I-20. Temperatures will be in the upper 30's when the precipitation starts at around 4 PM. It looks like the worst driving will be late Thursday evening through mid morning Friday, as the temperatures fall through the 20's, freezing any water left on the roads.

You are correct. Evidence of about 20 periods of rapid warming exist in history, some lasting centuries, all long before coal fired power plants and automobiles. These do not provide proof of Anthropogenic Global Warming. In fact it does just the opposite.

What's the name of the attachment and what is the file extension? Do you have an up to date security program installed? What specifically does the pop-up say?

Thanks for the heads up. Our area off Bethel Church has so far been spared. Maybe it's the fact that we all live on acreage and have dogs and shotguns. It's pretty easy to tell when somebody doesn't belong, and knowing my neighbors they had better hope that all they get is arrested.

While I feel for her, and understand her consternation, the health and well being of the child is paramount over the rights of any parent. If she is truly unable to properly care for the child by herself without aides, then perhaps the father is correct that he would make the better custodial parent, absent of any problems in his background. A mother does not and should not automatically have superior custodial rights to the father of the child. It is what is in the best interest of the child that counts.

Doesn't Official Car with Sirens Blaring have right-of-way
lotstodo replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If there is a permit issued by the Georgia Dept. of Public Safety for a red or blue light, then whether or not the vehicle is marked, it is an official emergency vehicle. Marked Fire and Police vehicles of any physical description are exempt from the permit requirement. Personally I don't look for the sticker on the windshield before safely yielding the right of way. Like others have said, there is probably more to the story. My guess is that he pulled into opposing traffic in an unsafe manner. Lights and siren do not give the operator the right to drive recklessly. -
I know that the rezoning request was denied in December of 2007, and I haven't heard anything different since then. It was also my understanding that this would not be a public facility, but a facility where garbage trucks transfer waste to tractor trailers for disposal at another site.

MCMM is correct, MARTA is extremely crowded immediately after an event at the dome ,Phillips, or the GWCC. So much so, that it might be dangerous or at least very scary for small children. I would not recommend it for that reason only. If you are going kidless, it is very convenient to park at the HE Holmes station on I-20 and to get off at the Georgia Dome/GWCC station.

We don't always agree, but I always respect your opinion. I know you were playing. There is a big difference between poking the bear and throwing around personal insults about one's manhood or calling people with whom you don't agree jackals. It's a minority of people that resort to these tactics, and if some sticks to their resolutions, I believe we may have fewer.

They are hit and run insults, the very kind PUBBY wanted reported. I believe that calling the members of the political forum "Jackals" on two separate occasions within 12 hours, one of those times in an open forum, not only falls under this definition, but is in direct violation of Rule # 2: 2. Please refrain from inflammatory posts. Don't post something just to get a reaction out of people. Basically: be nice and play well with others! Posts on controversial issues (ex. politics, religion) should be meant to provoke discussion, not incite anger. The topic of aboortzion is off limits beca

Kaiser has embarked upon their own experiment in the controlled payment for and delivery of healthcare. They own the facilities, pay the doctors, buy the equipment, order the tests, devise the treatment plan, and provide their customer's insurance benefits. They are the epitome of vertical integration. This is, to my way of thinking, the ultimate recipe for conflict of interest.

In a perfect world, every firestation would be fully equipped and staffed 24-7 with both fire and trained rescue personnel, every Firefighter in Paulding County would be an EMT, every ambulance dispatched within the county would have at least 1 paramedic equipped and trained for advanced life support, and there would be a helicopter stationed at Paulding County International Airport. This is not a perfect world. Mistakes are made. Hopefully when they are made, the error is on the side of caution. As for the cost, those with private insurance are subsiding those without insurance and

Scientology is coming to Sandy Springs...
lotstodo replied to Thoughts from the Evil Galaxy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I don't know what Sandy Springs Code is, but every other municipality I know of over maybe 10,000 in population has a set number of parking spaces per square foot for each type of commercial land use written into the zoning regs or the commercial building code. It shouldn't be up for debate. It varies somewhat, but a good rule of thumb is one parking space for every 3 people of occupancy of the largest meeting space at 16 square feet per person for congregations up to 300, and 18 square feet per person for congregations from 300 to 500. That would put the required spaces at about 20 spac -
I like most music except hip-hop and rap. My I-pod has everything from Patsy Cline to Jimi Hendrix to Larry Raspberry to Mindy Smith to Queens of the Stone Age to Son Volt. Mostly Classic Rock, Guitar Blues, and Americana.
