Spring is just around the corner, and I thought it might be time for a refresher course: (1) The woman buys the food. (2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert. (3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand. (4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman.

Age alone does not make a structure of any historical value. If the home is on either the state or national register of historic places, then you will have bureaucrats up the wazoo telling you what you can and cannot do to remodel the structure and surroundings. In some cases, the Historical register rules will be in direct violation of the building code. This is a problem that you will have to reconcile between the agencies yourself. Be prepared to spend considerably more money than you ever imagined. Good luck. Here is someplace to start: Georgia DNR, Historic Preservation Divisi

Walmart is turning at least 10,000 of those 11,200 over to another company. So the check will just be signed by somebody else. "It's not a cost cutting measure, its really an investment in enhancing our demo program," he said. Cornell added that Shopper Events plans to hire "roughly the same number of people" cut, and said Sam's Club workers are invited to apply for those positions. Article Oh the outrage!

I saw a graphic on Fox last evening that showed the number of candidate public speeches in the Mass. Senatorial Race carried by each full time news outlet in the last, I believe it was 2 weeks of the race(not sure about the last part as I was watching in a restaurant). Fox covered nearly every speech of both candidates. MSNBC and CNN covered nearly every Coakley speech, and only about half of Brown's. Fair and balanced wins again. I don't deny that Fox's pundits are homers, just like MSNBC and CNN. The difference is in the hard news coverage. What you cover and what you choose to cover

No, they are not married....at least not to each other. On first glance, it could be the ultimate Valentine's Day card -- a gigantic billboard that towers over New York's Times Square, featuring a happy couple with the text: "You are my soulmate forever, Charles & YaVaughnie." But as every scorned lover knows, looks can be deceiving. This billboard -- which also has gone up in Atlanta and San Francisco -- is the ultimate act of revenge -- a very public retaliation by a dumped mistress aimed at a very wealthy, and married, businessman Scorned Mistress

The Sheriff's press release above clearly says that Hardin was charged with possession of marijuana. It does not say that he was charged with pornography. It just says that pornography was found, which could be consistent with Mr. Hardin's statement and explanation.

And how about naming them something more specific than "header.swf" so that if and when we need to block it we won't block every header from now on. Maybe something like hearts_header.swf.? I turned them back on and they are now officially bootyful.

I just had to block them so I could use the menu.

Microsoft Security Bulletin If your Windows computer is set up to automatically download updates, this should download today. If not please follow the instructions in the above link. This is a serious security threat, as the code to remotely execute malicious programs on a Computer running Windows and Microsoft Internet Explorer has been published on the net. This is the same attack that brought down Google.

What should happen to the white house crashers?

First, we should immediately stop giving them their 15 minutes of fame. -
Read what I wrote. I did not, I repeat, I did not, say that texting while driving was more distracting than reading the morning paper or writing notes. I said that texting while driving has been PROVEN in multiple studies to be as dangerous as driving drunk. Something I believe we all agree is too dangerous to be legal. It is not a personal opinion or a feeling. It is the result of unrelated scientific studies that came to the same conclusion. That is enough for me to say that it should be banned outright. When they prove that any other activity is as dangerous as drunk driving, wheth

I understood your point, you believe that it should be a secondary offense at most, or just the contributing factor, and I am disagreeing with you. I believe that the offense of texting while driving should be a primary offense, no other act required, because it has been shown to be a great risk. Once again, if multiple, reliable, unaffiliated studies have shown that texting is as dangerous or more so than drunk driving, that is enough in my mind to ban the practice as a primary enforcement issue, no secondary action required. It has nothing to do with "feeling good", and everything to d

You missed the point. What is the difference between a policeman arresting or fining somebody for violation of the open container or the seat belt law, and ticketing or fining somebody for texting while driving? In all cases there is no outward consequence of the action, no swerve, no crash, no near miss. The idea is to prevent the consequence, which can quickly turn deadly, not wait until it causes an accident or a fatality. Primary enforcement is used when the activity in question is proven to be extremely dangerous. Tests conducted by the IIHS have shown that texting while driving is

Not wearing your seat belt is against the law, is a fineable offense, and the fact that the officer witnessed the act, with no further proof or consequence, holds up in court. You don't have to die in an accident to be in violation of the law, even though the ultimate goal is to keep you from dying. The texting law is no different. And if an officer sees you take a drink while behind the wheel, you will be locked up i assure you, whether or not you blow .08 or you are swerving. The fact that every concieveable stupid act ever invented by mankind to do while behind the wheel of a car i

The best ever. That's a Nine Inch Nails song written by Trent Reznor. When he heard the Cash version he said: "Wow. [i felt like] I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore…"

Excellent Wendy. That is the spirit of the Martin Luther King Day of Service that makes this holiday different. It's more than a day to honor a man or the civil rights movement. It's a day to give back.
