Prayers for this family. I live off Winndale and heard the sirens and everything but did not know what was going on. I am so sorry to hear the news.

Great reply Subby, I am glad that the schools in Paulding county are not as stringent about this as other school systems are across our nation. I happen to know of a high schooler that did this exact thing. The knife was turned over to a teacher as soon as it was discovered and the punishment fit the crime 3 day suspension. Because of honosty and never being in trouble and being backed by all teachers that this student had at the time, it was determined that there was no intent to harm anyone. The administrators and BOE did the right thing. But it goes along way that the student had never been

My neighbor got broken into a couple of weeks ago, she came down and let us know. She had just moved into the house in Jan. She also had cameras up and has very good pictures of the person that broke into her house. The PCSO is investigating and hopefully they will arrest someone soon. This was done in broad daylight.

I just got home and they are now re-routing traffic onto Old Cartersville and you can turn onto another road that takes you back to 61N. I don't know the name of the other road. Dabbs Bridge has several places that are very dangerous. With standing water several inches deep. Please be careful out their tonight.

I pm'd you and yes this is the one that was on the news. Also, just got an update on him. He is doing ok, they are talking about more surgery. He has already had 1 surgery to fix the arteries in his arm, they are now talking about trying to do surgery to do something with the shattered bone in his arm. At this point they are just hoping to save the arm, and keep it from getting infected. Thank you everyone that is praying for this family. The whole family is just in shock over this and worried for them.

Thank you all for your prayers for this family, and yes the shooter is in jail. After the investigation is over I will try to post what actually happened. I just don't want to post something on an open board about this, with the investigation still ongoing. You can pm me if you want the story, but I just can't put this out on the open board. Please pray for my cousins husband, he was shot by his neighbor in Villa Rica on Monday night. He was airlifted to Grady and has a long recovery. He did not have insurance, and they have 2 children. Mom doesn't work so he was the sole bread winner in the home. I don't want to go into details about what brought this about because of the ongoing police investigation. It is a really sad situation for everyone involved. I do know that prayer works and I am praying for them, and especially him to make a quick and complete recovery.

My mom just called and I had told her earlier about the 48th Brigade coming through, she went up and stood as they came through and she said it was awsome. Thank you to ALL our men and women that serve in the military. Because of all of you we can be free.

She did not get fired, she quit. She stated this morning that she could not take it anymore. When he called her into his office on Friday things got heated and she quit. But this morning Cadillac Jack had a suprise for her. He had a friend in Oakwood (not far from where she lives) that has a trucking co. and the friend offered her a job. Sounds like she was crying when they told her.

Just got home from Canton, everything was great until I got on Dabbs Bridge. It was very icy and then 61 from Dabbs bridge to Dallas was getting bad. Everyone be careful out their.

Well after the cluster that happened last time, I hope they learned a lesson. My sons are seniors at PCHS and they didn't get out but about 10 min. early. Our road was already icing over when they got home. I also know several bus drivers had severe problems getting kids home. One bus driver I know could not make it up a hill and the middle schooler had to walk up a long hill, she got about half way up and fell and slid all the way back down the hill and past the bus. Luckily the driver had not moved because she could have ran over the child.

My boys said they were not on lock down today. They are both seniors.

It is the officers descretion, I think alot matters when he pulls you over. How many tickets you have, your attitude toward them. It is great that he let you off with a warning.

I have straight talk phone service. You buy the phone and card at Wally world, this phone uses Verizon towers and the service has been great. I pay 45.00 per month for unlimited phone, text, pics, internet. It has been great to not have a contract with any of the big co. because they change plans often and you are stuck.

Sound like he is being buried at the National Cemetary in Canton. This is located on Hwy. 20 near Knox Bridge landing. I know that Dallas put out the flags on 278 for the last ceremony for a fallen millitary person. I am hoping that they will again. I would really like to know when the procession will be coming through so that I can go and stand and pay my respect for this Marine and his family. May God Bless this family and watch over them in this difficult time. My son just signed up to join the Army and I hope I never have to go through what you and your family are going through.

I'll second that one. My daughter has a friend who is a LEO in Chattahoochee Hills, he just went to work their a few months ago. He was soooo upset that a fellow officer had to die because of some dumba$$, and also realized it could have been him. I just don't understand how anyone can take the life of someone else, because he didn't want to go to jail. Well now we get to pay for him to go to prison for the rest of his life, maybe we will get lucky and he will put himself out of misery.

The back pain was probably from a kidney stone. It feels like you have been kicked in the back by a horse. I do hope that you can get this taken care of.

My husband works for a repair co. but not in this area, he suggested that if it has power to check under the fridge and make sure that it is clean. If the air cannot circulate the motor and condensor cannot run. Take a shop vac and vac out from under and behind the fridge to make sure it is clean. Also check the therm. to make sure it has not been turned off. Good luck and I hope this helps.
