  1. My husband passed away in 2001, when our kids were 10, 11, and 15. He was a Christian and he use to sing in church. When our daughter got married in March 2004 on the video their is a bird chirping throughout the ceremony. When she had her first child in 2005 we came home from the hospital and within 10-15 min after we walked in the door the stereo came on by itself and the song playing was one of the songs her dad used to sing in church. Then in 2008 when she had her second child when we were leaving the hospital the song came on again. It is a Christian song and they always listened to the r
  2. Good luck on Monday Subby, I'll be praying for you. I really hope you get the job.
  3. I am really sick of seeing all the posts against the LEO's. You really need to get over it. Their are bad people in every walk of life.
  4. When I took my son to ROTC at 7:00 a.m. they were usually their opening the gate. A deputy is who I saw opening them in the morning. Good luck with your fishing.
  5. Yes, exactly. If you upload your card on the 26th day, you lose 4 days. That is the only draw back to getting straight talk. Otherwise it is a great set up. I work in Canton, and I have 1 spot that I have no service for about 50 ft. Otherwise I have usually full bars.
  6. We have had straight talk for 7-8 months now. I love it. The coverage area is great and very few dropped calls. If you do go with them do not re-up your service early, if you do you lose the remaining time you have left. But I recommend the service. The signals are the same as verizon, as they use verizon towers. Good luck.

    VENT

I had a biker that ran a stop sign on a side road and flew into my lane and I almost hit him. It scarred my half to death.
  8. This was a WOW story on kicks 101.5 a few weeks ago. It is still a funny story and I almost had to pull over when they were telling it on the radio.
  9. This is more of a problem than most people think. This house will have to be cleaned out and completely restored before the code enforcement will release it to be lived in. The guys that will be cleaning this up will have to go in with hazmat suits on because they do not know what they will be encaountering. It will probably take several weeks to clean this up and make it livable again. It is sad, but most of the time it is that the person who lives their doesn't even know where to start to clean up the mess. It just overwhelms them and so they do nothing.
  10. I have 2 boys that just graduated. When we moved to Paulding county when they were in middle school I told them they could wear their hair any way they wanted as long as they passed all classes at school. If they failed a class I got it cut it the way I wanted. It drove my mother crazy because I never got to cut their hair, but they always did good in school. Sometimes you have to think outside the box to motivate kids and this just worked for us.
  11. Well at least hubby will have plenty of work for the next several weeks. He does appliance repair in Cherokee County.
  12. Report both to the police. Pawn shops have to turn in a report with everything they take in, also the names of the persons pawning the items. It is possible that you can get your ring back if he did acturally pawn it. Good luck and I hope you get your items back.
  13. I work for a water restoration co. in Canton, Ga. Our emregency teams left out on Saturday night to go to Nashville. It just blows my mind what this has done to Nashville. Our teams have been their over 2 weeks and are looking to be their several more weeks to help with the clean up, this video slaps you in the face as to what went on up their and the damage that it has done. No words can compare to a picture. Thank you for posting this, I pray for all that have damage, and loss but the worse part is the loss of life.
  14. I am so sorry that you didn't get to hear from him. I do hope that you hear from him soon, and when you do please let him know how much we appreciate him serving for our freedom. ((((HUGS))))) I hope this helps a little.
  15. What drives me crazy is when the price of oil goes up they immediately up the price of gas, but when the price of oil comes down it takes them several days if not a couple of weeks to get the price back down. They can jump it .10 cents a gallon when the price of oil goes up and when it goes back down they drop it a penny or two at a time.
  16. Good luck finding something, maybe Chattanooga.
  17. I've got one or two, how about they turn out all the freakin lights at the (tashmahall) courthouse, and other government buildings when they are not being used. They could cut back in plenty of places if they would just think like the little people that are trying to survive day to day. Why do we need 10-12 deputies at the administration building? I understand that they have to have some their for sercurity but it is overkill IMO to have an officer in several different offices. Why not have 2-3 at the front door and put back the metal detectors?
  18. Thank you Mill Creek, I just signed up. I had not heard of this one before, but it is a great idea.
  19. State Farm is the worst insurance co to have. I work for a co that has to work with adjusters on insurance claims for homeowners, over the past 3 months that I have worked there we have had several claims denied for damage that is blatant. And if you have a water leak in your home and you call in a claim, Do Not ever use the word flooded. Even if your whole house has 3 inches of water don't use flooded in your conversation because if you do your claim will most likely be denied. Good luck and I hope you get everything worked out on your roof.
  20. aybe its her way of letting you know she is OK. I hope you have a great day.
  21. I am going to hate the traffic that will now be cutting through to Winndale. Since I can see the bridge from my house. But I guess it is progress and we will get used to it.
  22. They are not allowed to use the school phone unless they are sick and the school nurse lets them call to get a parent to come and get them. My son is in ROTC and they have several practices a week. He needs his phone to let me know he is staying after school, he also needs his phone to let me know if he has car problems, or to let me know where he is going to be after school.
  23. I live off of Winndale and I will keep an eye out for them. I hope you find them soon.
  24. I am with you on this one. They would be lucky if they could find the pieces of her when I got through with her. This just makes me sick.
