  1. Sorry to hear about the baby, if you need anything please give us a call. Your hubby has my hubby's phone number. I hope he gets to feeling better and you both can get some sleep tonight. They are great at Scottish Rite. LPPT, sometimes you just have to let it out. Its no good to bottle it all up inside. My buttons have to be pushed and pushed and pushed before I explode. But woo be the one in the way when I do explode. But I feel great afterwords. I hope your day gets better and here is a BIG (((((HUG)))).
  2. If you have any problems or questions pm me. I have done my taxes on turbo tax for years. It is the easiest program to use IMO. It walks you through everything step by step. If you don't have anything odd then you should do just fine. Good luck.
  3. He didn't when my niece graduated in 2008. There were no religious things in the church, the pulpit had been removed. If you did not no you were in a church you could not tell when you walked in. I think the ones that feel uncomfortable having it at a church should be able to graduate as a group at one of the high school auditoriums. Give them a choice, this could alleviate all the problems with the law suits. But don't punish the ones that want to graduate with ALL the rest of their class because of a very few.
  4. I have been to the Steakhouse also in Rockmart, but I don't know road names. I know you go up 278 past the 113 and 101 intersections. You turn left and go over the railroad tracks. When you get to the stop sign you turn right and it is down on the right. It was an old farm house that has been converted into a rest. They have also opened one in Cartersville, but I have not been and don't know where that one is. But it is owned by the same person and family says it is great just like the Rockmart location. I will try to get better directions with road names for both and post them here for you la
  5. So, sorry to hear this Subby. I know that you were hoping for a better outcome. When God closes a door he opens a window. I was told yesterday that they are cutting my hours back to 3 days a week. Which will hurt ALOT, but at least I will still be bringing something home. Good luck to you and I hope everything turns out good for you.
  6. My husband also works with Chads oldest son. Who is your husband. You can pm me if you want to. We were on the way to get eye surgery this morning when we heard this and my husband almost had to pull over he was so upset. I am just so sorry for his family. RIP Chad, prayers for his family and friends. Prayers also for all the LEO's that knew him or worked with him.
  7. Just got home from Acworth, not to bad but in places and on bridges it is starting to accumulate. Just be careful out their.
  8. I have not put up a tree this year and have decided not to. I have been sick with the flu for the past week and 1/2. We will not be here at the house for any Christmas things. We are going to my sisters on Christmas Eve, then my daughters on Christmas morning (to see the grandkids open presents) then to my aunts for Christmas brunch. Money has been tight this year and we bought presents instead of paying for a Christmas tree. I love Christmas time and usually get into the spirit but this year it just has not hit me yet. I am hoping that wrapping the presents I could afford to buy will help.
  9. Just talked with my aunt who is a bus driver, she was stranded in Yorkville since 4:30. She slid her bus sideways in the road and got stuck, she finally made it home about 8:45 p.m. She drives special needs kids and luckily she had dropped off her last student before she got stuck. She said the bus finally melted the ice under her and she was able to get it into the new elementary school parking lot. Then she and other drivers that were stranded were picked up and brought home by someone at the bus barn. They were literally driving 5 and 10 mph down Goldmine and 278. Just glad maybe all our bu
  10. Please let us know when you hear from her. It is a nasty night to be on the roads. I am waiting to hear from my son who is at work at Kroger 278/61. We only live a couple miles from there but this is my child and I will always worry about them. Glad you made it home safe and sound Mark. A big Thank you to Anita for helping you out.
  11. My sis in law and niece just got home. They came from Dallas to Holly Springs rd. It took them over an hour. The roads are crazy and people are sliding off into ditches all over the place. Slow Down and take it easy. Don't slam on the brakes. Hope everyone makes it home safe and sound.
  12. My DS is working at Kroger at 278/61 we only live 2 miles from there but I still worry about him driving home. He is 19, but very responsible. I will be up until he gets home, I think he has to work until 11 tonight. Be careful out there and stay safe. I would also like to say Thank You to all the EMS, Fire and Police out there in this nasty weather.
  13. I don't know what it was but it was very loud. Scared the dogs and all of us in the house. Hope we find out what it was.
  14. No way No how, would not even step foot on the first step. Sorry not a job for me.
  15. Thats an interesting question, because I am have cataract surgery on my 2nd eye next Tuesday and I will no longer need corrective lens to drive. I will be watching this to see what the answer is also.
  16. No you are not the only one. Working my butt off trying to make enough money to buy gifts. I have not been bitten by the holiday spirit bug so I have really not been in the mood to even go shopping even if I had some money. I am just not into it yet. Hopefully I will get some Chirstmas spirit before it actually gets here and I am hoping for a Christmas bonus so I can maybe do some shopping.
  17. Pm me and I will send you my cell #. Lost my husband in 2001 to colon cancer. I am praying for you both. Let me know if I can do anything at all to help.
  18. I hope they put it in their trunk and leave it for a couple of days and let it rippen before they realize what is in the box/bag. This is the best thread I have read on here in a while. Maybe they will think before they steal something from someone else. Thank you for the laugh 2009Hog.
  19. If she did call DFACs she may be in the middle of them trying to find out information and possibly have them and PCSD officers their also. They may be trying to get everything down in a report and trying to get the child taken care of for the night. We just don't know what is going on right now and hopefully she will come back on and update as soon as she can. Its not like she can say excuse me DFACs and PCSD officers I need to update Pcom about what is going on. Lets just pray that the situation has resolved itself and the child is back where he/she belongs. This is what I am praying for.
  20. Can you find out where they got them, maybe copswife454 can get one for the grandmother. J/K
  21. I know for a fact that the above is ALL true. My son in laws grandmother is a witch with a capital B. She truly does not like my daughter and she make it known to everyone.
  22. I do believe that he would never embarrass me like that again because I would have killed him in front of that room of people. If not killed he would probably not be my husband for long. I hope you came up with something to get him back with.
  23. Subby sorry to hear of your woes, but try throwing in an extra family and it really gets confusing. My 1st husband passed away in 2001. His family still considers me family. My now husbands family lives in Cartersville. My parents and family get together on Christmas eve, my kids other grandparents get together on Christmas day, my husbands family gets together on Christmas day. My daughter wants us to come to her house for breakfast so we can see the grandkids open presents. So, if it all works out we will eat breakfast at daughters, I and the kids, grandkids go to former inlaws, then I go to
  24. The greased lightning is good, but the super clean is an even better degreaser. You can buy it at the auto parts store or wally world. Its in a purple gallon jug. We use it along with carpet shampoo. Mix it up in a garden sprayer and spray it on. Wait a few minutes and spray again. Wait a few more minutes and them clean it with your carpet cleaner. Good luck and I hope this works for you.
  25. i am sitting here with tears flowing also, but what an inspiration that can get a whole town involved so that this little boy could have Christmas. Isn't that what LOVE is all about. Thank you for sharing.
