  1. Our legislators are ensuring we keep some of the backwoods bible belt laws. Idiots.
  2. Lin's Garden is it....I love that place.
  3. I hate moles and have found no good way to solve the problem. Their tunnels leave corresponding dead stripes crisscrossing all over my sod and then the raised hills get mangled by the mower. They really do a number on the grass.
  4. Take it to the Sheriff's Office....they will contact him.
  5. If my family put a rolling billboard of me on the back of their car I would come back and smack them. Some honors are appropriate, some are plain tacky.
  6. Because our society needs wood to build houses, make paper, and a million other things. That area was cut just like that 20 years ago. It will be replanted and cut again in 20 years.
  7. People turning onto Coach Bobby Dodd do the same thing. The way those roads offset limit the traffic engineering possibilities and there is no good way to fix it.
  8. I love how the 'community activist' is hyping the race card; "when the hood sees the video they are gonna be mad". Great...let the hood be mad. Let them be so mad that they actually strive to teach morals and family values to their youth instead of how to be a thug. Maybe then it won't be so commonplace for them to be committing felonies at age 15 and they won't be fleeing from law enforcement in the first place. This fleeing felon got what he deserved but unfortunately what is just is not always legal. If anyone knows that it should be the officers. The adrenaline factor in situat
  9. I highly doubt BPS or Cabelas would look at Hiram. A requirement for their locations is interstate access.
  10. You know what is draining? Seeing the shape this great country is in. We get one step closer to Socialism each day and we have so much debt it will not be paid off 3 generations from now. Even with all that going on people still think the government owes them something as they stand around with their hand out.
  11. LOL..."its not paid for with tax money". So, it is funded by the telecom industry from a Federally mandated fee paid by the consumers. Tax=Fee....same thing.
  12. I really don't care what kinds of assistance the person qualifies for or what situation they are in, there is no reason the taxpayers should be funding cell phones....period. There is absolutely no reason that can justify it because it is a luxury item that is not essential to life. We wonder why this country is in the shape it is in. The is no shortage of people with their hand out and no shortage of politicians willing to fill them.
  13. I would assume the public release of key evidence in the Tate case will be limited until the initial appeals are denied due to it being a death penalty case which could possibly call for a retrial. The Wayne Williams case has cleared those first few hurdles and is also not a death penalty case.
  14. I just cannot believe the taxpayers are actually footing the bill for cell phones. When did that become a necessity? Amazing.
  15. I don't see Cabela's or BPS coming because there is no interstate access. That is normally required for them.
  16. I assumed that myself. There is no reason to open 2 stores withing 3 miles of each other. The new location gave them the updated look along with the gas pumps, something they could not do at the current location.
  17. I picked up sausage, NY Strips, and several Boston Butt's over the past few months and was pleased with them all.
  18. Man....I hope we do get a true sporting goods store. I would trade that run down Kroger for it in a heartbeat. Sports Authority and Hibbits don't really fit the bill. Bass Pro Shops, Academy, or Dick's Sporting Goods is a completely different ballgame.
  19. If you are going to do it then stick to it 100%. Unlike other diets, one bad meal can set you back for days.
  20. Not true...in fact the majority of LE responses fall into this category. LE agencies normally rate calls in 3 levels; routine, expedited, and emergency(many times referred to as code 1, 2, or 3). Basic calls such as suspicious incidents, residential alarms, or road hazards fall in the routine category. The situation is not serious enough to warrant any upgraded response. Domestics, panic alarms, 9-1-1 hang ups, non-injury wrecks, routine backup requests fall in the expedited category. You don't want to endanger the officer or the motoring public with a full emergency respon
  21. Just do your research before you book so you know what to expect. The price of the cruise is based on a combination of ship, itinerary, and date. The best prices come with trade offs on one or all, having the best of everything will be at the top end of the spectrum. Normally the older ships make the shorter Bahamas and Mexico runs while the newer ships take the longer premier Caribbean itineraries. I have cruised on several lines. They all have similar business models but they are all different. That being said, I have never been on a bad cruise but I am not really that hard to plea
  22. It really surprises me that the only chain grocery store in Hiram would close because they are usually pretty busy. Wal-Mart is great but they still miss some things a dedicated grocery store carries.
  23. Bullet is less than $.50, rope is a little more expensive but it can be reused.
  24. For a true HID system you need to replace the entire light assembly and not just throw in replacement 'HID' bulbs. Most of the add on HID kits are just for looks and do not increase visibility. The bulbs are tinted to give the beam a "HID look" and they have to make the bulb brighter to try to make up for the dimming caused by the tinting. All this does is play havoc with oncoming traffic because the reflectors are designed for halogen. All of those reasons make the lights illegal because they are not OE.
