Man, now you all have me craving a Publix sub!!!

TY for the info, I think it is a good possibility that the frost got them. We planted pansies too and they are doing awesome! All are in the ground. I have three larger mums that I planted about 2.5 years ago, and three smaller ones that I just planted about three weeks ago. There are still new buds (not open yet) just below the brown crispy blooms... Should I snip the dead bloom off? Would that give the buds a better chance of opening, or would the frost have gotten them too? Thanks for the tips!

All the blooms on my mums have turned brown and crispy... are they supposed to be doing this? Any green thumbs out there want to lend a few tips?

Wow. Thank you so much for starting this topic. I had no idea there were others close by that had this same condition. I've suffered with TTM for the past 15 years. Started with eyelashes with I was 12. I don't pull my eyelashes or eyebrows anymore, but the back of my head seems to be my main "go to" area. I have never had a problem with pulling from my head up until about a year ago. I have no idea why the change, but it has caused even more anxiety now that I have a thinning spot on the back of my head. I've gotten so self conscious over it I won't wear my hair down, and I haven't go

GO FOR IT!!! That is one thing I regretted in college was not studying abroad when I had the chance. As far as "where" just go with your gut... I have been to several of the places on your list and have always loved both London and Ireland. My college roommate studied abroad in Italy and loved every second of it (she was an art/photography major). Her pictures from over there are killer!! One place that I would probably NOT recommend studying abroad in is Nepal. My other college roommate is a missionary over there as we speak with her husband, newborn and toddler. From the soun

My in-laws have one and hate it. Over the years it has always seemed to be more trouble than it is worth. Theirs is on a set week in Gatlinburg and the past two years they have not been able to go due to work-related things they couldn't miss. Waste of money IMO. I personally would never get one, but for others they might work out great.

Be very careful using Sargents and Hartz brand topical flea products... Seizures are a common side effect. Just google either brand name and you will see all of the complaints.

I guess you got the two-for-one deal!! hehe How cool! We had a pony at our old barn named "Surprise" because she was just indeed that... a completely surprise! Maybe both mares should try out for "I didn't know I was pregnant: Animal Edition"

Comfortis is the best product ever!! It's a flavored tablet they eat and it kills fleas and their eggs for 30 days. We switched from Frontline a year ago and haven't seen a single flea since!

Hang in there... My mom just went through this type of crap with all of her doctors... She kept telling them, "I'm having severe headaches 99% of the time" and they kept telling her she had migraines... After the forth visit she flat out told them "I know it's not a migraine" and they just ended up putting her on a different migraine medicine. A month goes by and she went back PCP and demanded more tests be done to figure out why she was in this much pain and they referred her to a neurologist. The specialist found out she had a small hole in her spinal cord and was LEAKING SPIN

OMG! We might be neighbors!! lol We live in a nice community (Gated, swim/tennis, strict HOA) and our neighbor parks his car (A PORSCHE!) on the grass in front of his front door almost on a daily basis. His driveway is literally about 20 steps away. Not sure why he does it, but it is definitely an eyesore.

Even if you don't go to school you might still be able to post an "I need a roomie!" flyer at one of the colleges (KSU, Chattahoochee Tech, ect) to see if someone in your same age bracket needs a roomate. I think the college crowd would be a good demographic to seek out, you might have more luck finding someone who needs housing (and isn't a complete scary person!!). The idea of doing an interview is a good idea, just to get an idea if it might work. There is nothing worse that having a horrible roommate... Unfortunately I know from experience. And as someone else said, make SURE you g

If you haven't heard of To Write Love On Her Arms (www.twloha.com) I strongly suggest you visit their website. It is a great charity for both people contemplating self-harm, as well as family members who want more information about how to support someone they love who has attempted self-harm (ie, suicide, cutting, depression, drug addiction, ect). One of the major issues I have with our society is the lack of compassion we show for others. Suicide is so taboo that families not only have to deal with the loss of their family member, they also have to deal with the shame associated with the

Maybe have your friends ask around to see if they know anyone looking for a roommate? Not sure if you go to school or a church, but those might be good places to check around too (ie, post a flyer on a bulletin board at a college or church).

Was that a Bradford Pear? I swear those things are more fragile than fine china!

Why are you shocked? Stuff can happen anywhere. Doesn't matter what school/zipcode/income bracket you are in... Heck, I grew up in North Fulton in the highest income zipcode in the state and our high school definitely didn't have all perfect little angles walking the halls. Everything from bomb threats, buying & selling drugs (because they could afford to do so) to a dozen kids setting up an underground theft ring and stealing thousand of dollars worth of electronics from Walmart were a few memories that ring a bell. All schools have their problems, it all depends on how good the

This is just out of curiosity, as I have a good friend in a similar situation as you. Are you still able to apply for unemployment if you have a side business bringing in income? My friend was laid off from his warehouse job a few weeks ago when the company downsized. He also has a freelance graphic design business on the side that he does from home. For some reason he thought he couldn't apply for unemployment since he works for himself on the side and gets some income from that. What are the rules for people who have side businesses? He never even applied thinking they would flat o

That is the best bakery ever!!! Enjoy your little slice of heaven!

We've only sailed with Royal Caribbean (four times), and the www.cruisecritic.com website is BY FAR the best resource ever!! My #1 tip for new cruisers is to: Book your own excursions through a private company, NOT through the cruise line! I wish we would have known to do this for our first cruise... it would have saved us alot!! That was before we knew about cruisecritic.com. Most of the private companies charge 50%-70% less than booking through the cruise line, and you get an equal or better experience (ie, less people in a group, more time to do things, ect). When we went cave tubi

Has he ever tried skateboarding? It's fairly similar (in style) to snowboarding, so when it does finally snow he will be ready! Both sports are all about how you use your balance.

I've been on it for a month without any side effects at all. I'm only on the starting dose (5mg) but will probably get bumped up to 10mg and see how I do with that. I take it before bed so it doesn't matter if it makes me drowsy. It's made a huge difference so far! Definitely seeing the benefits!

My heart breaks for your family MsGaStorm... Hang in there. *Hugs*

Our most appreciated wedding gift were gift cards to Home Depot and Lowes. We had just bought a house, so they came in SUPER handy!

We cook leg of lamb all the time and this is BY FAR my favorite recipe EVER! It's Gordon Ramsay's (The "Hell's Kitchen" crazy british chef) recipe for Herb Crusted leg of Lamb: Link to recipe: http://gordonramsaysrecipes.com/11/gordon-ramsays-herb-crusted-rack-lamb-f-word/ Link to video where you can watch him cook it step by step: I was scared to cook it the first time, but is was way easier than I expected it to be (and the directions lead to believe). Good luck! P.S. We didn't make the zucchini side-dish that is with the recipe, so I have no idea how that

I'm so glad you all are ok!! You were so smart to know how to jump into action (ie, turn the gas off, turn the water heater off, etc). If that happened to us, I would have had no idea what to do in that situation! A+++ for your fast thinking! P.S. Anyone know if there a way to lessen your chance of lightning doing so much damage if it strikes your house? You hear on the news all the time of houses catching on fire due to lighting, and I am really scared of this! I wonder if our house has lighting rods, and if they help?
