You can add us to the list too! (please!) Our front flower bed could use some serious help... My Mother-In-Law (aka Mrs. GreenThumb) told me to plant Mum's this past fall because they were one of the hardest plants to kill... Well, I probably don't have to tell you how that story ended. RIP Mums I'm thinking some nice pine bark nuggets might be a good choice for this year.

This happened to us, except it was with CRAYONS!!! The inside of our dryer (and all of the WHITE clothes) looked like a flippin' Grateful Dead concert... It was bad. We tried everything to get it off and the only thing I could get to work was the SoftScrub cleaner (and lots of elbow grease). After I scrubbed and got most of it off, I wet an old towel and threw it in there for an hour (on high heat) and that got most of it out. To this day I still find socks with little specks of colors here and there. We laugh about it now, but it was NOT fun at the time... For Ink, I bet rubbing al

I took a trashbag of clothes to Plato's last year and they only offered me $13 for all of them (all were name brand A&F, Areopostal, Gap, A&E and in great condition... some even had tags!) I said no way and took them home and put them on ebay. It was a pain doing the listings (pictures, discriptions, ect) but the same "$13 bag" of clothes went for over $120! You might be better off on ebay or selling them at a garage sale.

LOL! Growing up my sister was the Biter AND the Bitee.... She would bite herself to leave teeth marks and then go and try to get the siblings in trouble! Pretty cleaver (and sneaky) for a three year old, well, until Mommy P.I. would match up the bite marks.

I'm not a stay at home mom (no kidlets yet...) but I came across this blog the other day with a ton of cute ideas. She makes "kit kids" for her own kids and will put all of the items needed for the craft/project inside a ziplock bag and they just grab that bag and go to town! All seemed really easy, cheap to make, and her kids have a ball! Plus i'm sure the clean up is alot less since they have just want they need inside the bag (instead of 10,000 crayons to clean up when they are just using three, i'm sure you all know the drill!) Here is the link to her blog: Smart-Bottom Enterprises: Wh

Yeah, the North end of 61 (up by the Cartersville airport) is horrible!! I got 1/4 mile from the house to go to work and had to turn around and come back home after slipping several times. The parts that the sun got to are ok, but anything in the shade is still a sheet of ice. I saw several vehicles in the ditch. Hope everyone is ok!! If you do not have to go out, please don't take the risk! It's really scary out there!

Yep, that is the reason they were marked down at my Kroger... they were the "Manager's Special." However, the sell-by-date was still 4 days after the day I bought them, and they were completely fine and good to eat. As long as you are planning to cook them that evening or the next day (or freeze them right away) you should be fine.

We made this a few nights ago and it was TO DIE FOR (definitely 5-Star restaurant quality)!!! It's Gordon Ramsay's recipe for Herb Crusted Lamb (you know, the Hell's Kitchen crazy British chef). I bet it would work with chicken, pork, or fish too... SOOO good! It was pretty easy to make too and didn't take very long. It includes a recipe for the side dish too, but I didn't try that one. Here is the link to the recipe and video: http://www.foodtvblog.com/2007/05/23/gordon-ramsay-herb-crusted-rack-of-lamb-with-potatoes-boulangere-and-courgettes-provencal/ Kroger had their racks of la

Wow... Your wife needs to find a new practice. I have never been treated like this by our PCP. One time I even asked her if she could check out a spot on my arm (I went in for a chest cold) and she replied "Abosolutely! This is YOUR time." Now that is the way it should be. Most Dr.'s have no bedside manor anymore... I'm just lucky I found one that does. She takes her time and values what her patients have to say. Definitely a rare occurrence in today's medical field.

Yeah, we used to live in the neighborhood just behind these townhouses before we moved to Paulding. They must have repaired that retaining wall 3 or 4 times in the last 5 years. They were always doing something to it!

#1 Get a good protective case for it... For the amount of torture I put that thing through (dropped on concrete three or four times...), the case has absolutely saved it... I've had mine for 2+ years and it doesn't have a scratch on it thanks to the case. #2 APPS!!! Apps are so addictive... there are TONS of great ones! App Organization Tip: If you "click" on an APP icon and hold down for two seconds all of your apps will start to "wiggle" and you will be able to drag them into a different order. Once you get alot of apps, you can organize them on different "pages"... I have a page of

Isn't a tornado watch in December a little out of the ordinary? I don't remember them ever being this late in the year...

Ok here are a few of mine... Just to preface: I promise I'm not nuts... I have always thought both my mom, sister, and myself have had an "extra sense" when it comes to the paranormal as we have had many experiences. And honestly, I am terrified by these feelings. While I'm super interested in learning about the paranormal (from a distance) it scares me to death when I have "feelings" of activity around me, or if I plan on going to somewhere that is known to be haunted. I don't view my "gift" as a gift as it terrifies me! I have a bunch, so I will try to keep them short: #1: Th

I heard "try the shed" too... couldn't make out the first part. The second I heard the voice the guy from the Green Mile came to mind.... you said it was something BIG running past the bushes right? hehe I LOVE this kind of stuff, but I am absolutely terrified when it comes to the paranormal. I'll post my stories below.

LOVE that store!!! It is awesome for seasonal stuff (ie, holiday decorations, halloween stuff, ect). Hubby and I went last week and got an 8x10' rug for $20!! I looked at the same rug at Pier One and it was $75! -
If you don't feel like cooking, or paying restaurant prices.... Costco has flippin' AWESOME Lobster Bisque. If I remember correctly it is $7.99 for two large-size bowls (Probably 2-3 servings in each bowl). Its in the refrigerator section. I was really surprised at the quality and chunks of lobster. Hubby loved it too.

has anybody ever been to a hannah montana/miley cyrus concert?

If you have a small digital camera (like a point and shoot) you will be fine. Just put it in the bottom of your purse and walk right in. When they check you at the door they (generally) just have you open your purse but they don't really go through it, so anything in a side pocket or bottom will be fine. They are really just looking for big professional cameras, weapons, booze bottles (well, maybe not at Miley... ), not the small camera for parents that want to take pictures of their kids. Have fun! -
Add me to the coupon-queen list... I spend about $30 - $50 a week on average for a family of three (plus two dogs and two cats.) My savings with coupons is normally around 60-80% off of retail price each week. The secret? I shop the sales (especially the BOGO sales at Publix) along with both manu coupons and store coupons stacked. We buy meat in bulk when it is on sale and portion out the packs for individual meals and freeze them (the ziplock vacuum bag are awesome!). I don't buy items I know we won't eat, and stock up on the ones we use frequently, when there is a sale. I also do

Acworth Due West Road is closed near HWY 41, the flooding was so deep it was up to the roof of a Catapillar back ho that the DOT was using for construction... My husband has had to find three different alternate routes just trying to get to work this morning. If you don't have to go out, don't!

Good to know!! I just went back and re-read the fine print on the RC website... I must have miss-read the "reserves the right to impose" line. Back when we had our cruise last year all of the fuel charges were mandatory, now they changed it just to cover themselves the fuel prices increase. Here is the actual fine print from the website: "Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to impose a fuel supplement on all guests if the price of West Texas Intermediate fuel exceeds $65.00 per barrel. The fuel supplement for 1st and 2nd guests would be no more than $10 per guest per d

I do know that RC adds a "fuel surcharge" on top of your base price... We didn't realize it wasn't included when we went on our last cruise and it was a "lovely" surprise. I think it was something like $10 a day per person (so a 7-day cruise would be an extra $140 just in "fuel fees")... it really does add up fast, especially if you aren't expecting it. I can understand why they had that fee when we went on our cruise last year (when regular unleaded was almost $4 a gallon!!), but with the gas prices back in the "normal" range, why do they still have all of these fuel fees? You would thin

Yep, We did the squirt bottle trick too... It worked wonders! We put a tablespoon or two of lemon juice in with the water (apparently cats don't like that). It doesn't hurt them, it just gets their attention. I agree with pwhous... make sure your plant isn't poisonous, there are a BUNCH that are toxic to both pets and people (if ingested or handled). Did you know that Hydrangea produce low levels of Cyanide?!?

Don't you mean ovulation? Ok, carry on... I couldn't resist.

I think that good parents who raise smart, courteous, well-adjusted children (with strong morals, no less) in a loving, financially stable home should not be negatively put under the microscope by anyone. Don't get me wrong, having 18 children is definitely a unique "personal choice" for the times, but in our society, anything that strays even a millimeter from the "American Norm" will be scrutinized. I have seen their show, and I applaud them for how they raise their family. Their children are thankful for what they have, and truly recognize how important family really is. They actually
