How stupid ...she and the boy she became pregnant with have forever changed the course of their lives. Where is the adult that should have counseled her on that fact? It now becomes about the health and welfare of that baby ... tough but true. So sorry her stats will change because she will be played less...there by reducing her chance of a scholarship to college. There are consequences to all decisions in life. For an un-married teen, sex and the possibility of a pregnancy is a big one. I have told my boys having a baby as a teen will change everything they had planned for thei

Times are hard now… but this too will pass. I learned that from my grandparent's "story" My grandfather worked as an auto mechanic...saved up money and in 1926 opened an auto parts store in Phoenix, Arizona. The store thrived and they were able to buy a home. Then after the stock market crash in October of 1929 things became harder. By 1932 he was no longer able to keep their house and moved the family into a small rental house …not too long after that he sent his wife and two daughters back to the family farm in Nebraska. He closed up his business, took a job with a friend se -
I just heard yesterday in a discussion that Verizon is supposed to get the Apple iPhone sometime in 2010?

Okay everyone ...there is your call to action! Thanks for the info! Personally, right now, I don't want any more county money being spent unless it brings jobs to our community and helps our tax base... after we get out of the recession then by all means help our elected representatives prioritize where to invest in our community.

Thank you for your original answer... I do not think anyone meant to shoot the messenger! Please share any enlightenment on the lack of a traffic light at Highway 61 (south) at Ridge Road where there is a 4-way stop?? I think many truly would like to be informed!

I love love love this reply/review! This awesome bit of kit changed my life. The extra hours of work I could get in whilst driving on the freeway has made me so much more productive. In fact I directly attribute this to my improved bonuses and recent promotion! If you want to get ahead, get one of these. There is one problem though. In several accidents that I have had whilst using this, the airbag causes the laptop screen to slam shut. I've suffered several broken fingers because of this. I have started to look around for airbag finger protection but have not yet found any... -

How wonderful, Christmas may have come early... The FIRST week of December! Thank you Mrs. Susan Richardson! I hope there is a deep investigation that includes Paulding County...I think there are bones buried all over. Hopefully NOW there will be someone on the ballot to vote for other than Glenn Richardson! The last election I left that one open... I was hoping others did too so he could see so few voted for him or supported what he had become. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Politics seems to be his downfall. My impression ... years ago...10 or 12 years ago ... was that

My youngest did the same thing...it did not stop until we realized he was ADD ... Attention Deficit Disorder... the child is paying attention to ALL things and cannot screen and block out the insignificant things - which is a lot of constant info. It is tiring for the kids who cannot block out all the extra noise. Mine basically was so worn out from all the extra stimulus that a "normal" kid could just tune out, he slept so hard at night he just would sleep through that feeling and not get up. My son was a preemie and they said his nervous system basically was less developed. It was

They are a Danish company ... it is a little awkward ... and may have been written or translated by a person who is not a native English speaker? From thier web site... The LEGO Group The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". It’s our name and it’s our ideal. The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen. The Company has passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder. It has come a long way over the past almost 80 years - from a small carpenter’s workshop

But I bet you can get your own kids poop on your hand and it is no big deal but hubby would start hurling? I think there are guy things and girl things ...jmho

Interesting! I rinse it to get the extra juices and pieces of fatty stuff off...not so much to "clean it" of germs? But I always clean up before I move on to stuff that could be contaminated. The towel I used on my "washed" hands I put in the laundry after I finish with any meat... or I use paper towels. Many of those shows... they wipe their chicken hands on the apron and continue....YUCK But it underscores your point! Hubby, who cooks a lot, does not clean up everything after the meat - and we have never gotten sick?

I know...I think we "think" too much. Some news show did a thing on how many water particulates came out of a public toilet when it was flushed with the high water pressure... still can't shake that one in a public restroom ... but I have not heard of anyone dying from using a public restroom. Think about it, our society is so spoiled we sit around a box (TV) and watch people report on things that are so sensational (a way for the network to increase ratings) we will turn in .... knowing it will gross us out! Now if I heard of friends and neighbors routinely sick...you bet

I believe in the US we have some of the safest food. We enjoy the most variety at very reasonable cost...can you imagine raising and slaughtering your own meat? I know many families do this but this is more a luxury for families who can afford it or who own land to raise their own. We all know to not cross contaminate meat with other food. The microorganisms are the reason you must use caution and common sense in your handling of raw meat. But before you freak out ... think of how many are fed, and how few truly get sick in our country! We Americans are very susceptible whe

That is so sweet ...I bet someone will know of a deserving family. P-Commers are great at looking out for the families that need a little help in our community! You might start a thread with your intent in it like: Do you Know a Family (on the first line) Without a tree this year? (on the second line) Just a suggestion… Who knows, now that you have the idea you might hear about a family you know? One other suggestion...your local elementary school PTA might also know of a deserving family?

Very cool ... just e-mailed it to family in another state!!!

WOW! What a lucky girl you are!

There is a new program on TV that finds adoptive peoples families... I told my kids there is a reason babies are put up for adoption...it has nothing to do with the baby...everything to do with the biological parents! I know there is a deep need to know how we are connected. But my guess is most people do not find out their biological parents are better than the adoptive parents who raised them.

I thought suite/suit was a southern thing. My family said bedroom set ...influence of Nebraska and the West Coast? Here I hear bedroom suit and have grown accustom to it. American Dialect: Southern Speech Suit, n., is used in the South to denote a set of matching items, like a suit of furniture. Elsewhere the term would be suite. This use of suit is a 15th century usage that survives in the South (and is related to the suits in a deck of cards). The term is not used to mean a set of rooms, so a hotel suite might contain a bedroom suit. http://www.wordorigins.org/index.php/more/886

Three years ago my then 11 year old son announced he wanted to go to Wal Mart for the Black Friday shopping! He saw they were selling a portable DVD player at a price he could afford... I was skeptical there would be many and he may not get one and be crushed... But we went with the understanding that all we could do was try. That morning I was shocked at the pallets FULL of their ad items ...not just 10 or 20, but PALLETS FULL! I had never gone because the news always shows all the people crushed as the doors opened! ...And the two ladies pulling each other's hair out

“Ever since we got married, my wife has tried to change me." "She got me to stop drinking, smoking and running around until all hours of the night." "She taught me how to dress well, enjoy the fine arts, gourmet cooking, classical music, even how to invest in the stock market,” said the man. ”Sounds like you may be bitter because she changed you so drastically,”remarked his friend. ”Im not bitter. Now that I'm so improved, she just isn't good enough for me.”

Well it gave some national coverage I'm sure...perhaps it will help with donations for Hosea Feed The Hungry & Homeless. I hope her nose is normal by Thanksgiving... poor thing, that had to hurt! I thought the funny comment was "Sure it's all fun and game till someone gets hurt!" ... how often is that said by moms all over the world?

My EYES, My EYES, My EYES.... And why does Gene Simmons have that Tony the Tiger suit on backwards? ... It might be time for a Kiss intervention!
