Thanks! Me too ...I think I changed it the day it snowed....I needed the thought of warm beaches and balmy breezes blowing off the Pacific... It has been cold for too long now!!!!

20 years later, and I am still with my first!

Well I did not!!!! Desperation from Ms. Irrelevant... what a narcissists (or guilt ridden from her horrible behavior in public I guess.) To see herself in that commercial THEN ... CALL IT TO EVERYONE'S ATTENTION ... that in her mind “She” was the boyfriend stealing, alcoholic depicted in a satirical boys club feel commercial! This was one of the few commercials shown during the Super Bowl that I found clever and funny .... and not once did I think of Lindsay Lohan... She certainly is not a Bono, Cher , Madona, Oprah, Seal … need I go on? These celebs actually have t

When they have a drivers license, so if the 1994 "third car" we own breaks down... they can call for assistance. School grades, responsibility, following family values and standards are tied to the privilege of driving and there for a phone. My 19 year old got a phone at 16, when he earned the privilege of having a driver’s license. My soon to be 15 year old will get a phone when he earns the privilege of having a driver’s license. He was given a Motorola Razor from his grandparents and cannot wait to get his drivers license in a little over a year so he can activate the phone.

Hubby was at the County Commissioner’s meeting this AM and it was announced they would be passing the new courthouse complex around 11:30 AM today. As you said going up 278.... They encouraged people to line up on 278. It will be nice if there are people cheering them on!

I thought we would have one last winter blast with snow the end of March! HOWEVER, Farmers Almanac shows no snow... but ... they also missed our snow last week! MARCH 2010: temperature 51.5° (3.5° below avg.); precipitation 5" (0.5" above avg.); Mar 1-5: Sunny, then rain, chilly; Mar 6-9: Sunny, seasonable; Mar 10-11: Severe t-storms; Mar 12-15: Rain, then sunny, chilly; Mar 16-19: Rain, turning warmer; Mar 20-23: Scattered showers, warm; Mar 24-28: Showers, cool; Mar 29-31: Sunny, warm. <snip>. Annual Weather Summary: November 2009 to October 2010 Winter will be col

I wonder what would have happened if they had been washed? A washed garment looks different than a never been washed one. In the report, the second time they put oil on the undies and they were still returned and put back on the rack... disturbing. I would be interested to see if the news crew had washed the undies ...would they have been put back out on the rack ... or written up as "damaged" and destroyed? Years ago I worked at a department store in the children's department ... you can tell when something has been washed. Department stores will return obviously washed

Any more global warming and I'm gonna freeze to death!

We have one too. I figured they are competing with JCPenney now and do not want to miss out on any dollar they can capture. It’s caught my attention twice now! My husband came in all wide eyed and had to show me what he found on our door knob. That does not happen with the instant percent off coupon that come in the mail… maybe we are all too used to it?

Exactly!!!!! A quote form the comments section sums it up for me... Leave the Brown Thrasher the heck alone! The state bird should be a wild bird, native to the state. And as someone else mentioned, NOT something we eat. Flip the bird, indeed. Yeah . . . At the people who want to make this change.~Dansby~ http://www.11alive.com/rss/rss_story.aspx?storyid=141152

Still, Davis could not immediately answer some questions, such as when Rep. Austin Scott (R-Tifton) asked how many employees of the system have total compensation packages of more than $500,000. A quick check of state salary data at opengeorgia.gov, however, shows a handful of university system employees making that much, including Davis himself and UGA President Michael Adams. http://blogs.ajc.com/gold-dome-live/2010/02/24/college-tuition-hikes-get-support-from-strapped-lawmakers/ What is a college professor worth? ... How many students should each teach?... Pay cuts and layoffs are

We do…it’s called vote their arse out if they have been there over.... I don’t know... 5 years? Problem is ... voters don't! Sounds good to me except for the 12 years! I think 12 years may be too many. It seems that too many politicians start to become part of the corrupt machine into about the 4th to 6th year. I think as they know yet another election is on the horizon… and it is so expensive to run a campaign …they succumb to those powers that can give them large dollars in advance of that time. The placation of lobbyist, unions, large corporations, and such... become

I like the word Independent too. Problem is what ballot do you ask for in the Primary? Unless there is a large group that declare Independent you may only be voting for one seat, while your other local positions could be under Democrat and Republican. I had that problem in the Early 90's when I switched to Independent. I found that I was better off to be registered with the conservative party for the Primary... then in the General election all options are available? (I was in a state that, for the primary, you were given a ballot of the party you were registered for.) I ha

It is not a long path to see the dilemma. People are leery because Glen Richardson had an affair with a lobbyist from Atlanta Gas Light and gave special consideration to the mistress’s company who was seeking legislative approval for a $300 million pipeline across the state. Did the voters swap one man, who abused his power of office; with another who might fall into the same pitfall of thinking he has power to “get away with” an affair, with who knows what special interest vixen, since he has had an affair before? Past behavior can be an indicator of future behavior. However,

Maybe people did decide to "forgive him" his "sin" from 10 years ago ... looks like he did win? I don't know? << John 8 >> King James Bible So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and

We ALL have too many skeletons I suspect ... some bigger and scarier than others! Yes, I would post on PCOM if I needed to hear the voice of this community ... we are ALL represented here. -
I guess when I origionally heard the news…it was like incest. MUCH worse than an affair! Without the “sex” the incest comes out of the picture.

I saw this in the AJC this afternoon when my husband told me the AJC had also posted an article. Stout added: <snip> Ten years ago I committed adultery that led to a divorce from my first wife. While the relationship was stopped short of “sex”, I recognize my mistake as adulterous and unfaithful nonetheless. I own the reality of the pain I caused to my first wife, my daughter and others. This humbling experience changed my life dramatically. <snip> http://blogs.ajc.com/political-insider-jim-galloway/2010/02/23/your-morning-jolt-glenn-richardson-and-paulding-county

And IF they were left to fail ...that CEO would have that failure on his hands ...and as his legacy where he would not command that salary for a very long time (I would think? ) ...Even Bob Nardelli , AKA Home Depot despot, is finally starting to have his reputation tarnished. The people I know who worked for Home Depot, pre and post Nardelli, had little good to say about him as a CEO! Most of them left to new opportunities as he ran it in to the ditch. And all these stories about having to give retention bonuses in the financial segment… I question… I bet there are many talented ou
