I made this tonight...and WOW was it GOOD! Thanks for sharing your wife's recipe! Very rich and sweet!..... Got milk!? Okay, I have never made or eaten a Chess pie, let alone a chocolate chess pie! I have been aware of the recipe since shortly after I moved to the south. I never made one because I thought it would just be like custard ... Boy was I wrong! It was like a layer of rich chocolate crust on top of a layer of caramel- the inside sort of reminded me of the gooey part of a pecan pie! Absolutely beautiful once cut ... two layers, light and dark!

In past years we did. They are looking for water is what I was told I put spray along the path in the house (something made for indoor use,) and found they were entering near my front door. I followed them from the front steps down to the sidewalk and into the cracks in my driveway. I put Once and Done around the yard and on the driveway cracks and within a few days they were taken care of. I think after the first 24 hours I was able to mop the floors where I had sprayed inside once I treated the outside. Good luck.

We live in a great community and have friends we can count on, a loving supportive family, as well as two good kids. We were not affected by the floods, we have a warm house to live in, and food to eat. How BLESSSED we truly are!

Ouch ... not a flattering picture!

A friend had this happen in the past two weeks. The computer was trying to load the update...taking forever....so, she went to bed. In the morning the computer was off and would not turn back on. She had not backed up pictures this year...and has a 9 month old baby ...she is hoping Geek Squad will be able to retrieve the pictures and even reset the computer. She said several years ago she had a similar problem and got a computer guy to recover all her info and get the computer back to normal. I have not talked to her yet to find out the status...Geek Squad was making a house c

Very cute idea! Wish mine were not grown (middle school and college)... I would have stolen that idea! I used to do white lights because I just put special ornaments not glass balls, and I thought it looked nice that way. I was out voted by my children who wanted loud multicolored lights. Every year I ask to see what color lights they want ... so far still loud multicolored lights!

About 8 years ago our neighborhood had a problem on the middle school bus just like this. One girl was giving the boys oral sex on the way to school. My neighbor's daughter came home and told her mom... mom took it to the administration and a stop was put to that! Like KRM said ... I would not have know what that was in middle school... but now we have the internet, cable TV, and a much more permissive society that allows younger kids to be exposed to all sorts of sexual information ...good and bad.
