  1. If you're going to be in downtown, I recommend the Tutweiler Hotel.
  2. It's always a blast - the kids get to run around, play and have a great time in a safe environment. I hope y'all can join us!
  3. Fortified Hills Baptist Church on East Paulding Drive is having "Tales 'N Treats" on Wednesday, October 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Free hayride, slide, moonwalks, candy, food, crafts, and cake walk. Fun, safe fun for the entire family!!! Please come join us!!
  4. Seriously? If you called the post office in downtown Hiram, call one of the newer, bigger places.
  5. Well, since they no longer have a stamp machine in the lobby, that's what they have to do now (or they have to individually place a postage label on each envelope).
  6. How long does it take to wash and dry a load of laundry?
  7. If you're willing to spend more money, the Electrolux side by side is getting great reviews. And, according to the commercial, you can wash and dry a load of laundry in less than 40 minutes!!
  8. Here is a link from the state: http://health.state.ga.us/programs/cancer/csp.asp Get in touch with the Health Dept. to see if you qualify for a free or low cost mammogram!!
  9. I just looked at the pics -- YUM!! Can you hurry up and open tomorrow?!?! :-)
  10. Since you are very close to my house, I would love to see a menu (with prices) on your website. An online ordering option would be great too. And, of course, lots of pictures.
  11. I'm sorry that this happened to you. I guess we should use this as a lesson that we have to take our purses with us every time we get out of the car.
  12. Beef stroganoff with noodles and green beans
  13. Would I stay in a bad marriage? I think it depends on the definition of bad. If it means the hubby and I aren't getting along, then rather than walk away from the commitment I made, I would fight tooth and nail to save it. To me, marriage is a life-long commitment and needs to be treated that way. I tend to think too many people decide to jump ship when things get tough and don't take the time to talk and work things out. When there are children involved, there is absolutely no reason for two ADULTS to treat each other disrespectfully in front of the children. Save the disagreements for
  14. Excel would work, so should some database software programs out there. In Excel, you can set up fields (columns) for names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. and search by any of those fields. You can also link pictures and other files to the spreadsheet. Excel is an easy program to learn. ETA: As for scanning in documents, you could scan them in and save them as a file and set up a link to that file in your Excel spreadsheet.
  15. If you're looking for a surgeon - check with Dr. Chris Anderson that works out of Kennestone. He removed mine about 5 years ago and did a fantastic job.
  16. Yes, but I trust the advice of my doctors (which is why I use them). I do my own research, but when it comes to making a final decision about vaccines, I value the input that I get from my doctor and from the princess's pediatrician. The doctor's offices are the ones giving out these vaccines and they can tell me what they've seen from a first-hand standpoint.
  17. Exactly. That's why it's important to talk to your doctor (or kids' pediatrician) about any type of vaccination.
  18. Good luck with keeping it up to date. I've had several people tell me that their doctors are NOT prescribing Tamiflu when you just have flu-like symptoms unless you have another infection or ailment to justify it.
  19. I would be too paranoid to buy meat from someone selling it out the back of their truck.
  20. I would take them to downtown Atlanta and to Atlantic Station. You could go to Centennial Park, take a tour at CNN, visit the Georgia Aquarium, and see the World of Coke without ever having to move your car. Then, you could drive up to Atlantic Station for lunch or dinner and walk around there for a bit of shopping.
  21. The Court date is probably just for the ticket the other driver received. The judge will not interfere with your negotiations with the insurance company so it doesn't really matter that the court date is next week. My advice, figure out what the fair market value is for the damaged items. Tell the insurance company that you will take $5,000 more than that to settle all claims. If you tell them your "offer" is only the FMV amount, they will try to negotiate you down. The $5,000 will give you some room to negotiate. Also, call your insurance agent and get his advice on what is going on. H
  22. Let me add one more to your list -- Fortified Hills Baptist Church. There are two services, a "traditional" service with hymns at 9:15 and a "contemporary/blended" service at 10:45. I absolutely love our church because there is always something for everyone. Also, the preschool, children and youth ministries are awesome!
  23. Plan to go to the National Mall where you will see a lot of the monuments. Also, call one of the U.S. Senator's offices and see if you can go on a tour of the capitol building. And, you can also ask them to see what your chances are in getting into one of their White House tour slots - they may have a last-minute cancellation. Arlington Cemetery is also a must see.
