I'm not sure, but I did hear on the radio this morning that several parts of the SCT in Paulding Co. were washed out.

Actually, it's my understanding that depending on the value of what is being donated (a single item worth over $250), the charity may have to document it's receipt and the value of the donation. See: http://www.irs.gov/charities/contributors/...=200514,00.html Additionally, the IRS provides the following information to help contributors determine fair market value: http://www.irs.gov/charities/contributors/...=200514,00.html

It's Burt's Farm for us every year! We enjoy a day in the mountains picking out our pumpkin and then stop at Hillcrest Apple Orchards for apples and all sorts of fun.

Does anyone know if their are any traffic delays

All clear this morning. As long as someone doesn't mess that up on the way home, everything is fine on Thornton Road. -
Check with the fire dept. and see if they need (or would appreciate) a home cooked meal. I'm sure they've been extremely busy the past few days.

Is the bridge on Austin Bridge clear and open today? It was a huge mess yesterday and was closed.

I would rent one of those Sumo Wrestler inflatable things, order a bunch of $5 Pizza Mias from Pizza Hut or throw some hot dogs on the grill, get soda, chips and cake and let everyone have a great time at home.

I have one and as of right now, we're not planning on anymore. Hubby and I were married 14 years before I got pregnant with the princess. But, the pregnancy wasn't easy (nearly miscarried twice) so if God doesn't choose to bless us with more, she will remain an only child unless we decide to adopt. If we don't, I'm not going to feel guilty about only having one child -- I was blessed to have her and will not have any regrets or guilt about it. Personally, I grew up in a family with 7 kids - that was way too crowded and I always wanted to be an only child.... :-)

Italian Sausage and red pepper flakes - it gives the sauce a little kick without sending it over the top (unless you get heavy-handed with the red pepper flakes).

Since it's only a few miles from the house, the hubby and I will definitely give it a try. I love Thai food, but he doesn't so having the hibachi and sushi on the menu is just what I need to get him to go.

The training makes sense - there wasn't a rush of activity or blue lights flashing and the house sits in a pasture off well off the road.

I saw several police cars and the Emergency Services vehicle at a house on Brownsville Road - just after crossing over into Cobb County.

I just made my 1500th post. I've got a long way to go to catch up with LGM and the rest of y'all!!!

I like the C-17 - I had the chance to take a flight on one while hubby was on active duty in Charleston. It's huge and it's pretty cool when they open the cargo ramp in-flight.

Don't be surprised if your doctor strongly encourages you to get it. The regular flu (much less H1N1) is dangerous for pregnant women - having a fever is hard on the baby so you definitely want to avoid the flu, if possible.

It's in a small shopping center on the left -- it's the corner restaurant. And, it's really good! I wish I could be there!! -
If you're in your 30s and 40s, the best advice is to just put what you would pay in premiums in savings.

Only folding I do at home is folding laundry and it seems like it never ends....

I love my job!! I'm a legal secretary for a big firm in Atlanta. I've been here for almost 20 years and still love it. The attorneys I am assigned to are incredible people and are great to work for - no over-inflated egos or jerks, I truly have the utmost respect for all of them. I work in the labor/employment department and the work is interesting, challenging and rewarding. And, the benefits (even though they've been cut this year) are still pretty awesome.

Our firm didn't do it this year, but we have invited them to come in previous years. The nice part is that the kids don't just sit with mom or dad all day - the firm comes up with different "lawyer" activities for them to do and they hold a mock trial with them. At the end of the day, they get a scrapbook with pictures from some of the activities. I'm guessing the economy kept us from doing it this year.

What should folks in business say about themselves to increase confidence
LisaC replied to gpatt0n's topic in Business NEWS
It depends. Are we talking a new clothing boutique or a service related industry (like a mechanic, home improvements). If it's a service industry, 1. Someone must recommend them to me. If you're new and there isn't anyone to recommend you, you should start volunteering your services to local agencies to help get your name out there (as a business and as an active community volunteer). 2. They must have an equal (or better) price than their established competitors. 3. They must treat their customers with honesty and integrity -- the first time I feel like I'm being fed a lin -
We've had great experiences with both Wade Ford and Nalley Lexus.

Downsize the volume of things that you keep in the bathroom. Keep ONE bottle of all purpose cleaner in the bathroom cabinet and store the rest in the laundry room or with your other cleaning supplies. Use one side of the cabinet for your one bottle of cleaner, extra bars of soap, extra shampoo/conditioner, and tissue. Keep your toilet bowl brush beside the toilet so you can swish it out regularly. I hope this helps. :-)

I think it probably depends a lot on how motivated BOTH parties are to get the matter resolved in the mediation. A good mediator, with the help of the attorneys, will help both parties feel like they are reaching an amicable conclusion, but if a gilted spouse is determined to be inflexible, mediation can be a waste of time.
