  1. I got gas at Costco in Kennesaw today for $3.06/gal. Was astonished to see it $3.24+ back over here!
  2. I've heard of several doing hours through the county, either yard maint, station duties, etc. Maybe try calling the county maintenance offices?
  3. I hadn't realized there were any cameras at that intersection. I saw the aftermath of the accident, is everyone ok? It appeared to be a head on collision between a black car & a blue truck. I really don't like the lack of a left turn signal to go south on 61......
  4. There's an outdoor paintball field off Thornton Rd., one of my sons friends rented a pavilion at Paulding Meadows & did a paintball war there (less people, more wooded than White Oak)
  5. And here I am, I'd give anything just to grow some grass in my backyard! Where are you located, I have a teenager who is interested, he's the high school student intern for Paulding Co Sheriff & would love to help while making a few spare dollars.
  6. EBT is electronic benefits transfer- food stamps & welfare benefits on state issued debit card EFT is electronic funds transfer- banking transactions, money wire
  7. Because Sam is such an enigma. Some love him, some hate him. Rumors & drama are synonymous with Clark Ambulance in this county. Everybody's out to get the dirt on Sam My husband worked there for awhile. He does not work for them anymore. (nor do a whole lot of the employees who were there when he was for that matter) There were times they had to wait to get paid but always came through in the end. "Everybody" had a different version of the facts and finger pointing galore. It's the most scandalous thing we've got right now. Once the contract is announced- I'm rooting for Pucke
  8. We ventured out & had FUN! Completely wore my son out for free It was all indoors, a blender bike (kids pedaled the bike to work the blender, then got to drink the smoothie they made), rock climbing wall, jumpies, box hockey, the Chik Fil A cow, badminton, marine corp exercise station, cross fit for kids........ So, yep! It was rain or shine. Guess today is one of those days where I talk to myself.... and answer my own questions
  9. My son brought a flyer home about National Day of Play sponsored by Nickolodeon & UHC, before we head over there in the rain, does anyone know if this event is inside? PB Ritch Middle School .......
  10. While in the construction industry, we dd many projects at Ft. Benning. We were a subcontractor & the general contractor (who held he military contract) required every single one of my employees to be background checked & drug tested. This was for little itty bitty renovations around base & they weren't allowed in many areas! The company trucks had to be clearly identified with current reg card & proof of ins. Why would HP have such lax standards for vetting their employees? I always thought it was the military requiring the general contractor to make sure all subs had proper
  11. Oh, sorry. This is the fireman's wife. He still loves both of his jobs helping others.
  12. My employer of 13 years did this. Oh, how I love being at home for 5 months now after giving my notice....at least twice a week they call with, "how do I...?"sure is different now that the shoe is on the other foot.
  13. I always thought it was $5 at lunch & $7 at the gate?
  14. Lifetime Family Medicine on Hwy 61 next to Publix. 770-459-8449 State that this is for a depressed condition. Is the person "ok"? Suicidal thoughts? Tell Dr Miles office. They really do care!!!
  15. How are you doing today? You've got my number if I can help in any way.... Keep on being spunky & pull on through this tough patch, you've got all of Pcom land cheering for you
  16. We did a walk-in in Carrollton for the driver test. In & out under two hours. Apps. go first but LOTS of "scheduled" apps. don't show up or end up doing walk-ins. They are closed on Mondays so plan accordingly.
  17. Does it not load as an animated picture for you? That's a mighty blonde question My version shows her pouring the oil ALL over the engine....
  18. I woke up ANGRY at my husband one morning after dreaming that he had danced with the daycare director while wearing a sombrero and made an utter fool of himself in my dream. Yea, he even got yelled at for something I only dreamed he did. Lol!!
  19. Shhh y'all! We don't want everyone finding out about this hidden gem! Dr. Miles sees our whole family. He even cam to the hospital when our youngest was born. They can be a little heavy on the lab requests but I absolutely love their office/people/demeanor. Erin even does walk-ins early Mon am for the weekend germies.
  20. Praying for new mercies this morning. I'm not minimizing your hurt, please know that it won't be like this forever. Maybe something will change today? There's still hope. Focus on you & what you CAN change. My church meets at Austin MS at 10:30, we won't get all weird & up in your face.... But we'll show you kindness & friendship. Want to go for a walk at White Oak later? Get outta the house:) Yea, I know you don't know me from Jack in the box but I know how it feels to be all alone in a house full of people. I promise it can change & be different for you. I will be pr
  21. Our son had a wonderful kindergarten experience- I attribute that to the lottery Pre-K program at the Sunshine House by the Georgian neighborhood. Can I say wow? The teachers have masters degrees, the classrooms are decorated with interesting posters & class work. Centers- math, science, writing & reading. My son could write his full name, read on a kindergarten level, add, talk about weather, etc. We loved the school & attending costs $0. They're on the federal meal program so there were no lunch fees either. I can only say good things about our experience. I volunteered to read m
  22. I was born in Iowa. What we call lunch was our dinner meal (noon time) and supper is at 6. My mom still pretends not to know what lunch is! Breakfast, dinner & supper. Not breakfast lunch & dinner!
  23. I, for one, am happy to hear that someone other than Clark is running the county ambulance. They had so many wonderful employees and ran off many of the long timers. The general public really has no idea the behind the scenes drama & politics that go on at some of these places. Metro seems to have a good reputation in the industry, I look forward to hearing if there are policy/ procedural/ employee changes that take place in this transition. I think it's good for Paulding Co.
  24. Can someone tell me how gas prices are determined, honestly, once & for all? How can two Kroger's six miles apart be $0.08 different in price? How does it go up $0.17 while everyone is asleep?
