I did this at home for my daughter the past two years- it was a lot of fun & very inexpensive! I had face cream, cucumbers, nail polish, remover, and music. They giggled & talked as they cleaned their own feet, removing old polish & sweat! Then I did face cream with cucumbers on their eyes while they were lying down. While they were lying down I went down the row & painted toes. After the toes dried I took each to the bathroom to scrub the facial off. We took plenty of pics and had a fun time. Keep it simple- to many choices will overwhelm them!!! My daughter's fav

I found 2 packs of jelly! Yes, Jelly! Who in the world gives out jelly for Halloween? But I did get a couple grand bars- whatcha got to trade? -
This makes me feel so much better! I posted the same question a few weeks ago- some explained it very nicely, some got a good teasing in on me- BUT- I'm not the only one!!!!!

Thanks Freebird! I am helping my church coordinate flood relief. We have been blessed by receiving donated gift cards, we want to make an impact on the areas of our community that would benefit the most from our prayers & donations. I'm going to talk to PCFD personnel tomorrow to see if they can provide me with additional direction.

Please let me know what areas of our community were hit the hardest during the floods three weeks ago. What areas would benefit the most from flood relief efforts? Thanks so much for your replies!!

Did all these folks complaining about the HOA not know about it & the covenants required when they purchased their homes? Just asking.............

I was able to get my daughter a tutor through New Ga library a couple years ago. There are teachers & other volunteers who tutor there one or two nights a week (or used to) Check out the library closest to you. Edit to add: We had to pay for the tutor, don't remember the exact price but it was very reasonable.

Thank you so much for posting this! Unable to attend the funeral, but it is great to know the contributions we can make to her legacy. -

My son has been in the same daycare class with her boy since they were babies. I got to know her through our interactions at drop off & pick up, plus the occasional class event. Prayers said for her family as they grieve- and an extra prayer for her precious little boy! I know she was loved by many and will be missed by all. -
No, not hardly. If someone were to say, "Yes, my wife, husband, brother, etc. drove by and saw them working on it" or have first hand knowledge; that would serve as confirmation. I'm not asking for another "I heard. .. " as that wouldn't put me any closer to the truth than I already am. BTW, my sixth hand information came from a Paulding Co School employee, however she works at another school- it was the first I had heard of it so I was asking if someone could confim not speculate further.

I would like to thank the unknown plumber from Austell who loaned his time & personal swamp boat to rescue our stranded citizens & animals. So many lives were saved because of his generosity & selflessness. He has helped many in the surrounding counties as well- if anyone know who he is- please let me know- he truly is a hero in our community.

Sixth hand information is that the water pipes at the new middle school- Scoggins- busted, can anyone confirm?

Got it now! It was troubling me that I would see it everytime I posted but never saw anything like it on others posts. It's the little things that get my attention- thanks for clarifying that for me!

That's where they detoured me around- pretty easy to navigate. DO NOT take I-20- big headaches there!!

Take 78 into VR, you will need to make a small detour where they are doing road construction- get on Mrror Lake Blvd (Punkintown) and turn Right on 61 that will take you back to home. I live at Ridge & 61 and made it to Hwy 5 in Douglasville that way this am

Definetly go to Faithful Guardian in Villa Rica. I know lots of people with our local Fire Dept that have gone there and they all have been properly trained for National Registry and future jobs. I beleive our local FD has an instuctor teaching there. I personally went to Chat. Tech on the Hope and was also satisfied with the course and its instructors. I went to both the Marietta and Paulding campus.

Reports from Community Makeover today.....

There were groups at New GA Ballfield, S Paulding Middle, Dugan Elem, Union Elem, some visited the nursing home, a group is building a Mtn Bike Trail at Mt. Tabor, Warehouse of Hope received a new awning, paint & carpet, Fed the firefighters and police offices, cleaned up a tire dumping site on the Silver Comet Trail, there's a food drive at Poole Elem tomorrow. . the list goes on and on. . . Why do we do this only once a year? -
"The county is in a financial crisis requiring them to furlough each employee 80 hours during the next year, but they are still spending money on fireworks." The county gets the fireworks at an extremely discounted rate by waiting until after the 4th. If they didn't do a fireworks display folks would complain about that too. . .

What happens to the checks that haven't cleared your account yet? It takes utility/mortgage/loan companies up to 10 days to process your payments. How do they collect when the account has been closed & all the funds were mailed back to you? Do you get fees from utility/mortgage/loan payments when the check comes back NSF? That's got to be a major headache to deal with!

With 4 kids my motto is "pick your battles" If he's only going to wear specific items, what is the point of wasting money on clothes he won't wear? I think you simplified things by removing the excess clothing & having only the clothes he will wear available. Kids can be exceptionally stubborn and of a one track mind- pick your battles- clothes are the least of it!

We had 7 hours of fun! The boys played 10 games of laser tag. Daughter & friends skated for hours. Followed little guy throught the playzone. That was lots of fun for FREE!!!!
