1. That's one great thing about being a tea drinker...you pretty much know the cost up front.
2.

Crescent Park was a great rink. I still have my skates and went a few times when my niece & nephew were younger, 10-12 years ago, but it was too crowded to really skate...
3. Really, how many kids even still ride the bus in the morning?
4. And you are telling us all this for a reason?
5. It probably was but the union probably paid off that person who now refuses to claim harrasment. ^^^That is nothing more than unwarranted speculation.
6. Well I feel a little better about the ones I forgot to bring with me to return today...
7. You want to talk about burdensome costs? My insurance is around $800/mo on a GROUP plan provided by my employer. I have no health problems or pre-existing conditions and have filed fewer than a dozen claims over 26 years, most of them for serious injuries and a few times because I was very ill (flu/virus/kidney stones). None of them excessive in terms of cost to the insurer as compared to claims filed by people with chronic health problems. Even when I was young, healthy and didn't use my insurance, the premium was more than $400 per month. I work for a true small business with 3 or
8. Given the limited technology, the loss of communications and the distance I doubt it would have been an option at the time any more than Cartersville or Dobbins was...
9. this^^^ emphatically probably best to keep the pets' food indoors, also. same with garbage and food scraps. no point leaving something out to entice them to come even closer to your home.
10. Yeah I had a guy like that - enjoyed cooking and unless he was pushed for time he served meals plated, cut and ready to eat. No complaints from me...
11. Kills me that often the people who are so vehement about future generations footing the bill for ________________ (insert less favored class of people here) aren't equally upset at the corporate welfare & tax giveaways to companies sitting on record profits while masquerading as job creators. Personally, I think they won't care so much about the national debt as they will the habitability of Earth, myself.
12. Yep, we've bad a couple of calls from people whose pipes were not okay when they thawed this afternoon...I used a 90 watt bulb in my well pump house when it froze some years ago and it worked well, if a little more slowly than a heater, but it seems to me slower thawing would be less risk for a burst pipe, anyway.
13. Not to rain on anyone's good fortune or internet fun, but what does it say about us as a society that we find it an interesting topic of conversation when a man with pockets full of money roots around in someone else's garbage yet when someone with no money or anything else does the same we say and do nothing at all, or even worse, say plenty - and none too kindly...? Something to think about.
14. Saw this on the news last night. Terrible tragedy. I also thought it strange they used her maiden name and didn't refer to her by her married name at all - whether everyone was 'used to it' or not it seems rather disrespectful of her new husband and their marriage in general.
15. Not a purist by any means, I listen to rock almost exclusively but I'll take Hank Sr or Willie Nelson or John Anderson over the current 'redneck pop' they play now any day of the week.
16. I second this post. He is gorgeous! My dog is exactly the same with paper...loves to shred it. His absolute favorite is paper towels but any paper will do.
17. This is the dilemma I face buying for my parents, and of course they say they want nothing. Since it seems inconsiderate not to give them anything at all, I usually get them some inexpensive generic gift and make or buy some snacks and/or candy they really enjoy to go with it. Overall I would be fine if the holidays consisted of Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, myself.
18. I turn left at this intersection all the time without any problem...
19. Yes, I'm sure McDade would buy the story he's telling from some common street criminal in his shoes. Not.
20. Doesn't look like they do a very thorough job. I don't recall any wall in the schools I attended being that filthy. Same for the bathroom floor.
21. Maybe they did it to stand out from everybody else? Don't think it's anything to make a big deal of myself...
22. I'm pretty sure there's either an exemption for immediate family or a sizeable reduction in the amount of the tax...info on this is available at the Ga Dept of Revenue website...
