1. Why is it nobody ever states the obvious in these discussions? I think most of the time it's less about some psychological or emotional deficit or desire to escape than that getting high is a pleasurable experience, period. Hence the potential for addiction. Many people are hooked after the first time they try it. I don't believe anybody ever set out to destroy their life by becoming an addict...they are simply people who made a tragic mistake - one that can't always be put right again. I personally never saw a single episode of Breaking Bad and didn't know anything about the show unt
2. Unethical behavior is not a good way to start a career as a judge of any court...much less the ideal way to go about getting the job to start with!
3. Mrs. Forsyth was a sweet lady and I was sad to hear of her passing...
4. It amazes me with all the doomsday talk and rants about who/what will be the last nail in the coffin of America or even the world that nobody ever seems willing to point at the biggest threat to jobs, freedom, etiquette, privacy and is the root of many security vulnerabilities as well...Computerization.
5. Yorkville is northwest of Dallas, and Union is southwest of Yorkville. Braswell is just Braswell and defies explanation but it's northwest of Burnt Hickory if you ever need to go there. Not sure why you would, really...
6. http://www.11alive.com/news/article/322965/40/Euharlee-police-officer-under-investigation-fired-from-last-job Yeah the 'insert a link' thing doesn't want to work for me this morning & I don't have time to spend on this so copy/paste the above for more info on the officer who killed this kid: Gatny worked at the Acworth Police Department for 10 years prior to that and personnel records indicate that she was written up and suspended a number of times for various infractions. In a timeline, her supervisors say she "refused to follow orders" on everything from filing paperwork to
7. Posted Today, 02:49 PM If you know of people who are filing false returns, you can report them to the IRS. If the IRS is able to collect monies owed from those making fraudulent returns, you can receive a percentage of what is collected. Posting it here doesn't help rectify the problem. Take a stand against people who take advantage of the system! Report them! ^^^^^THAT^^^^^ would go a ways toward fixing it. You not only can report them, you should. If I saw someone loading the contents of your home into a truck while you were away on vacation, would you rather I call the poli
8. Call if "Politically INcorrect" if you like BUT NO they DO NOT deserve the same treatment..."They"...the Islamic Muslim culture of violence ATTACKED our country and our American way of life on Sept. 11th. They not only took down two bldgs, but cost the lives of 2,977 INNOCENT individuals...2,606 in the Trade Center towers, 246 on the 4 planes, 125 at the Pentagon, and 292 killed by falling burning debris. Additionally 1,140 have been diagnosed with cancer related to smoke inhalation! So NO they DO NOT deserve the same treatment...ISLAM is a religion of HATRED! Got one of those numbers for
9. I don't think the question is political correctness between people of different religions but fair and equal treatment under the law. This "but as a Christian, we have to keep our mouths shut when someone offends us" simply isn't true. There is a difference between being silenced (or for that matter persecuted) and the expectation that government not promote one religion over another (in other words, leave governing to the government and matters of faith to the church) I'm sorry, but this oft-repeated assertion demonstrates a defeatist attitude that doesn't reflect very strong faith i
10.

You have to add your prior years' state refund on your federal return but a refund of overpayment of federal income tax isn't income...it was withheld from income you already paid tax on.
11.

It's on Knox Mountain Road which runs between 113 and Braswell Mountain Road.
12.

Over the years I've had to distance myself from people who can't get enough drama...it's exhausting.
13. She's a (quasi) celebrity. That's what makes news these days. And what jenilyn said. It's not only the best way to get your name in the news, it's apparently an effective way to spread your message, as here we have a two page thread on a public forum about Ellen Page and her sexual preference.
14. Atlanta is doing something stupid and unproductive. Why is that news? And why do you think it does anything to minimize the concerns of those who live near the airport or will bear any excess cost? Not to mention the lack of transparency as our ELECTED OFFICIALS did their behind the scenes dealing - there is no justification for that. At all.
15. Same name, same avatar. Guess that makes me boring, too.I'm ok with that.
16. Assume it was what I thought was thunder...
17. Endorsement deals? Don't know, to tell the truth. Pretty much the only time I ever know who won is when they star in a commercial or have engaged in some scandalous or criminal behavior. Seriously, I'm sure it's mostly economic for the host city/country, although I have to wonder whether the threat of terrorism or other violence is worth it...
18. I think in all 4 cases, as well as most others, the thought of a life filled with pain, misery, abuse, or whatever torments a person is worse than no life at all. Why people call it selfish is something I don't understand. It seems more selfish to me to expect someone to struggle through each day for the rest of their lifetime in order to spare yourself the grief of losing them sooner rather than later. If someone chooses to escape what they consider unbearable, who am I to judge? Nobody asks to be born in the first place.
19. Yeah after doing a LOT of reading on narcissist personality disorder and psychopaths a few years ago, I see very little difference between the two...and yes I know the correct term is sociopath or anti-social but in my experience, psychopath is a much more accurate description for these people considering the harm they do to others, homicidal or not.
20. I thought I replied to this so if it shows up twice, apologies... Biscuits and rolled cookies I do individually by hand - a little messier but the end product isn't 'wonky' at all.
21. Throw it in the trash. What's the big deal? Personally I have enough going on without spending more time & effort complaining about something so trivial than it would take to just pick it up and throw it out. At least the people delivering it are working...they could be living off government assistance (aka you and me). Which would you prefer?
22. The shelter will also take newspaper...and I've found that people who own birds are often glad to get it also.
23. I don't answer unknown numbers and sure don't call them back...heck, I don't even always answer calls from numbers I recognize...
