  1. You know, while you are wonderful for trying to help, those people have neglected this poor dog to the point that they really need to face some consequences for it, if only to make them think twice before taking another in the future...
  2. lol I was like AA meeting - what?!? I noticed last night the thing they draped over the airport sign with the Silver Comet Field name was gone.
  3. ^^^This. And hackers are already capable of causing mayhem with cars' computer systems. It's just not been widely publicized ... I think there is an undeniable correlation between our willingness to let computers & machines do our work, our thinking and even our socializing and the increasing numbers of overweight, dumbed-down sociopaths roaming the earth.
  4. I think what most are saying here is that they are plenty interested in good government, not so much in being dragged into someone's personal or political agenda/vendetta. We've had too much of that garbage in the past.
  5. I can't believe they have the nerve to still call themselves an ethics commission...
  6. Thank you. This is our biggest problem at every level...not recognizing who we should be taking to task and that we are currently at a disadvantage because we aren't willing to put aside all the childishness & selfishness for our own common good.
  7. Well your best shot at that would be to attend this showing, as I believe the theater is said to be haunted...
  8. Then you'd be buying into a lie. There is no such thing as a secure life. Think of everyone you know who has died in the past 6 months. How many were spared by their big bank accounts or material wealth?
  9. 100% federally funded for the first 3 years, then phased down to 90%. Indefensible.
  10. Been going on for more than a decade now and has baffled me from the beginning. Signatures are a technicality - what do you think brought us to this point with the NSA basically monitoring everyone's communications? Everyone's acceptance that it had to be this way to prevent terrorism. Too bad the majority only saw it as a problem after Obama was elected - a handful were very vocal and warned over and over this would happen, only to be told those who had done nothing wrong have nothing to worry about. If I had the time and interest I could post example after example of how those
  11. Since when did the government set gas prices?
  12. Ugh. Some of us would like a moment free of political ugliness every now and then.
  13. I don't understand how anyone as blatantly dishonest and unethical as Don Balfour has remained in office for so long...but then I also don't see how on earth a crook like Nathan Deal was elected governor, either.
  14. Paulding Meadows can accomodate that many also...
  15. Didn't read the article but I will sure be glad not to have to listen to all those deadbeat politicians whining about who is to blame when in reality it's every damn one of them. I hope every last one gets their ass handed to them in the next election popularity contest.
  16. I live in NW Paulding near the Polk County line & I heard similar noises this weekend...odd.
  17. Haven't seen any rattlers this year, but I saw a whopper last year about 500 feet from my driveway. I guess my beagle is part possum/armadillo then. He loves to dig & eat grub worms-fortunately he only does this in areas I've already dug. His favorite time to do this is early spring when I'm planting a vegetable garden. Grosses me out completely but it's cheaper than dog treats and he doesn't disturb any of my established plants.
  18. But again, the fault ultimately lies with people who claim their own stupidity is someone else's fault and profess their inability to make good choices on their own...in other words, it's a liability nobody wants.
  19. And it started with Obama's administration... Right.
  20. WTH? I saw the news report also and there wasn't nearly enough information given to reach such a conclusion. I've seen a video of a beagle pushing a chair to a counter so it could climb up & get whatever food was on the counter. My cat, rest his little soul, would climb onto furniture and try his level best to use his front paws to turn the knobs of closed doors. My ex brother-in-law's cat was actually able to open their interior doors by pushing down on the lever-type handles. You are not going to tell me an 18 month old isn't capable of opening a door on his or her own..
  21. Don't understand the reason for the inclusion of this^^^ comment at all...it isn't even relevant to the topic of discussion (theft) and appears to be no more than an assumption, anyway.
  22. My niece, now in her 20s, has apparently never cared whether her socks match. I am guilty at times of wearing navy or black socks that aren't matched to their official partner but I try to at least make sure they are a similar shade, length and fabric type.
  23. Excuse me, one doesn't have to be a conservative to have an issue with this situation...all conservatives appear to have cornered the market on is stereotyping and lumping people into groups when no two people are exactly alike. And arrogance.
