How many more must die in the war on Drugs ?

Yeah? Gone to where? They were here because their house burned. From Wisconsin. Seems an awfully long drive for someone with another option... -
Seems to me that would defeat the purpose of creating jobs for local residents in the deal...as well as adding to traffic in the most congested areas with commuters coming from other areas. That's all I'll add on the subject as I don't live far enough away from the airport to welcome commercial flights. As a native of Paulding County I would like to say in response to the earlier comment about the area becoming something it doesn't have to- it's too late to worry about that. In fact, the explosive growth since 1990 is the reason we are now in such dire need of a commercial tax base.

You obviously didn't read the comments after the article (and as usual I wish I hadn't, either) because every other post mentioned one or the other - or both...despite the fact this appears to be a state law. I wish at the very least people would learn who is responsible for whatever legislation they are up in arms about, especially if they vote. **I think most parents discourage pre-marital sex but you know, it happens (as do STDs and early pregnancies) every day. To rely solely on your child's judgement to do what is best for their future without also including information about ho

The family was here from Wisconsin temporarily staying at the residence because THEIR HOUSE BURNED DOWN. They had already decided it was a bad environment and had arranged rental of a U-Haul before this happened. Now they are stuck here not only with a baby in a medically induced coma because his lungs are too weak to undergo a second surgery for a deep chest wound but with their other three children away from home and apparently limited options. The police threw the grenade into the residence and it landed on the baby's pillow while he slept. No drugs, cash or guns were found dur -

If she doesn't want poisonous snakes around her yard, she really ought not kill the non-venomous ones.... Unless you pick it up, corner it or accidentally step on it, 99.9% of the time if you give a snake it's space, it will quickly put as much distance as possible between itself and you.

Not to be argumentative (although I guess it is anyway) but by whom and how would you know, for that matter? The dad is right...you can vote til you're blue in the face, long as the country is controlled by two political parties instead of the people, nothing will change.

7 pm, unless something has changed.

Nope.

I've received TWO different pieces of campaign literature that say exactly that.

That list is pretty general...I am in zip code 30153, but in Paulding County, and in a class 10. Much of that zip code is also going to fall within the city of Rockmart & will be lower than a 9, as will locations outside the city but within 1,000 feet/5 miles of a hydrant/fire station.

Most commercials these days are just stupid, if you ask me...but that one is among the worst of the bunch.

A lot of the issues people have with Medicare or other insurance coverage are not related to ACA and are simply insurance or provider issues. I have always had to see an in-network doctor or pay a great deal more to see the doctor of my choosing. When my mother changed from her group policy to Medicare, she was able to continue to see the same doctors she saw previously. Despite various changes over the years in our group plan at work (standard to HMO to PPO to HMO again)g, I haven't ever needed to change my own primary care physician. And if you think we weren't already payi

You can't expect the schools to keep your children safe and at the same time roll your eyes when stuff like this happens. Personally I think we headed down this slope when we accepted the incredibly annoying seat belt "REMINDER" in our cars and it's been downhill from there in this regard...

I have each of those as well as another with very large flowers that are very pale lilac in the center and darker around the edge. The one I have that resembles the photo on the left has larger flowers and are lighter in color than the photo above. It is a beautiful plant when in full bloom. Not sure where he got them but my ex gave them to me so I've had them for at least 15 years...

Anyone else's house beginning to show it's age?

lol My house is 50+ years old and wasn't that great before it was renovated in the late 80s. Welcome to hell! Be thankful you are not one person trying to do all that plus keep the yard mowed & trimmed, house clean, laundry done & put away, cooking, grocery shopping, etc. Plus a(nother) full time job to pay the bills. -
That first sentence there^^ My thought exactly

Never flown. I'm good with that.

My portion of our BCBS group plan is still >$700/month, same as it has been for at least 10 years if not longer...my co-pays have increased slightly in some areas (urgent/emergency & co-insurance), my deductible decreased from $1,000 to $500. I was told recently that the reason a woman I know who is totally disabled and confined to a wheelchair was not eligible for SSI because she wasn't employed when she became disabled...just thought I'd mention since whoever said they might apply also said they weren't currently working.

I can't get past the fact that the guy had two pairs of crutches in storage that he was able to put his hands on within 15 minutes and has made such an issue of his insurance not paying for yet another pair that will just be thrown in there with the others when his daughter's injury has healed. Gee, I wonder why my insurance premiums are so high? -
So is she hiding that she is a Democrat?

No, I'm in favor of discussing something outside the context of partisan politics. You know, discussing the real problems (and relevant news) and possible solutions instead of whining or bickering like children about which side is better when it only perpetuates the status quo - which appears to be working very well for the politicians, if for nobody else, btw - when politicians from both parties are equally bad. As sit stands, the only topics discussed are those that lay the foundation for idealogical, partisan arguments. Anyway, in a roundabout way my point was that campaign ads th -

ceramic tile? don't know that I'd use murphys or pine sol on it if so. seems to me it might not be good for the grout? they make some good tile cleaners, can find em at HD in the tile flooring area and some in the cleaning supplies area. I use one I got in the tile flooring aisle. Laminate flooring is great, ultra durable (not counting water) but there are numerous discussions on the net about their tendency to streak & show a mark wherever someone (or some creature) steps. if not for that they'd be perfect, in my opinion. altnough if I'd put them down myself I'd have glued

I wish there was a $5 fine imposed every time the words Democrat/Republican and Liberal/Conservative were uttered. Or that they'd all just merge into the big group of self-interested, dishonest and unethical politicians that they are and call themselves what they truly are: prostitutes. So sick of the finger-pointing and blaming. Ultimately the only difference between those of each party is the billionaires and industries they're beholden to.
