Enlightening essay written by a former social justice warrior
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Foxmeister's topic in RECENT TOPICS
How interested were you in this person's views before they began to align with your own? Exactly. -
Sorry, did not watch the video - the caption on the still picture made me laugh a little, though.

Polk county police discover dogs in the woods
rednekkhikkchikk replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thank you. He came to my house as a stray (or possibly lost, I guess) but after we got to know each other I found him to be a fine dog and I miss him something awful. I am sorry for you and your kitty, too. It's hard to say goodbye to a pet, especially after so many years with your family. -
Polk county police discover dogs in the woods
rednekkhikkchikk replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This ^^ I figured they might have been selling or planning to sell them for bait dogs or to someone thinking they would make fighting dogs of them. It is a sorry piece of work who would treat an animal this way, much less steal someone's pet and subject it to such awful conditions and physical harm. They showed one little dog on the news report that could hardly walk. Senseless. And heartbreaking. -
It's a freaking public health hazard and where there are mice, there are gonna be snakes, too.

Polk county police discover dogs in the woods
rednekkhikkchikk replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I lost my sweet pit bull at the end of July. Every time I walk past his bed I wish so much he was still here. It makes me sick to see these dogs chained and confined and unable to fend for themselves; to know they would greet the person who kept them this way with the same eager gladness as they did the officer in the video just makes my heart hurt... Like I have said before, while these dogs can inflict a lot of damage if they attack due to their strength and relentlessness, humans are a much bigger threat to them than they are to us... -
When life as they know it is all anyone remembers, maybe. At that point, they can have it and I personally am glad I won't be around for it.

Company To Implant Microchips In Employees
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not sure how it could be voluntary if it is a requirement for activities like clocking in and out of work or moving throughout the work environment...unless it's in the context of 'voluntarily' choosing whether or not to work there, in which case it may be but it's a pretty cheezety ultimatum to throw on existing employees. -
How many slave ships flew the Confederate Flag?
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Why? Seriously, what is the reason/are the reasons you believe this to be true? And then I want to ask why such a huge problem should be blamed on any one person or group of people of the more than 300 million in this country? I honestly don't understand the constant need we have to try and blame everything that happens on someone specific, anyway. Doesn't blame make up the core of a 'victim mentality'? -
No, I have had a lot going on lately, will let you know if/when I do.

Well hey, at least they are keeping an eye on Trump's travel costs.

AIRPORT SELLING THE FIRE TRUCK TO COBB?

You forgot Swafford. Best as I recall Shearin called it 'his' airport (Blake's) before it was even built... -

We take our kitchen trash out after lunch or at latest by end of the day. None of that goes into individual trash cans at desks.

Glad to see this post, as I am in need of similar services.

There is what appears to be maybe a medium husky mix wandering in the middle of the road on the polk county side below the hamlet subdivision. Possibly freaked out by fireworks judging from its skittish demeanor. If you are missing a dog, you might take a ride to see if it is yours before it gets hit by a car; this road is not a good one for animals due to poor visibility and idiots who think because there are still some wooded areas and a stretch of unpaved back road remaining its a fun place to haul ass, drive drunk or just get up to general mischief. Dog had a tag but was not receptive a

Why Single out the Confederacy?
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Because someone on one side of the issue or another keeps bringing up the subject, same as most other controversies... I will say this, there are not many things that make me as angry as seeing someone with a flag, whether it is the Confederate or American flag (or both), flapping violently from the back of their pickup truck or even motorcycle, rain or shine. Especially when 98% of them only do it to get a rise out of others, anyway- at least where the Confederate flag is concerned. -
