Ridiculouos...but need some suggestions -

If the not at fault driver does not have full coverage, subrogation is probably not going to be an option. If the other driver has insurance (check the accident report) I would submit a claim to them. If the other driver doesn't have insurance and you have uninsured motorist coverage, contact your own company and tell them what happened. -
Thank you - I am old, but still here and for that I am thankful.

Surely a properly executed lease could have helped prevent this headache? At any rate, I would not rent a dog house to someone on a month -to-month basis. Heck, I would get a second or even third job before I would let someone else move in with me to offset expenses. Learned that lesson the hard way. Never again.

Unfortunately some people know just enough about the law to know how to exploit those who abide by it...

Guess that's why teaching isn't for everybody. I have reservations about guns on college campuses. In elementary schools? If I were a parent, there is no way I would be ok with that, especially considering she was under the influence. Just terrible judgement on her part no matter how you look at it.

Boy I really hope you are wrong about the dog breeding. Rescues and shelters across the country are literally begging for homes for unwanted pit bulls in danger of being euthanized due to lack of space. This does not even account for the ones surrendered or seized due to behavioral or aggression issues. Pit bulls are not necessarily noisy dogs compared to certain other breeds. (Hounds, Chihuahuas, terriers, etc.) -
Ok, first of all, what purpose do you think 'making an example' serves? To deter others from doing something so ugly and stupid, that's what. If this sends the message that such behavior is just simply unacceptable, ever, and prevents someone from harming or killing someone as a result of doing something equally abhorrent and wrong-headed, I think society will have been well served in this instance. But yeah, lets do get real - I can't believe you are defending people who terrorized children/families who had done nothing to provoke them besides having the unmitigated gall to exist, and p

There are a few distressed properties listed on real estate sites but they need a lot of work. If they are still available...

Leins against houses, roofing company

If they are charging customers for materials and labor, why can't they pay their bills? It is just wrong for someone to have a lien placed on their home when they have in good faith paid the company in full for the material and work performed, estate or no. -
Sheesh. What a question.

If the consequences are not sufficient to deter others, what is the point?

That one doesn't bother me at all. All the ones (Charmin, Clorox, Cottonelle come to mind) that go into detail about what they are designed to clean up/off do. I mean seriously, if the intended use of toilet paper is a mystery to a viewer, the commercial is lost on them anyway. Considering the number of scenarios in which you can use Clorox, why focus all your ads on children whose potty training apparently did not prepare them to use the bathroom without a chaperone?

I am a notary public, but need all parties to the document and any witnesses present at the same time for signatures and all would need to present ID at that time. Under those circumstances, I have no problem notarizing the document. Heck, I have even gone out to someone's car when necessary. I would need to see if any of the rules have been changed, but when I first got my commission years ago, it was my understanding that if the document had already been signed, all parties can sign again in the presence of the notary and the second signature is notarized...

They are beautiful, as are all dogs, but of all the ones I have ever encountered, I don't ever recall one that I would call friendly despite their owners' claims to the contrary.

For riding on the Silver Comet trail I would be sure to get a bike with street tires - mountain bikes are not well suited for such riding. If you get one with features you are not familiar with, it would be best to ride somewhere away from traffic, such as an empty parking lot or long driveway, til you are comfortable riding again. Some of those people riding on the more remote areas of the trail go fast and don't like for anyone to get in their way. You don't forget, but the older you are, the more important it is to be careful.

I assume the work on Braswell Mountain Rd east of the power lines is a part of this as well. I believe there was a variance from the original route to keep the line away from the Raccoon Creek watershed...? -
I am confused. Where are these animals located? I ask because I would much rather any donations I make for spay/neuter be used in this area...

I am not sure, outside of maybe maternity coverage, what someone would want to omit or what is considered only 'major items'. Our choices have always been based on plan type and out of pocket costs. I have never been asked if I wanted to include coverage for prostate exams, for instance. Common sense tells me it would be covered for a male & denied for a female without my having to specify I wanted to include it at the time I signed up for the insurance. Same with maternity coverage - haven't ever been asked whether I want or need it. Haven't been offered the opportunity to exclude it

Unflattering photos on Facebook and other social networks
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I especially dislike the photos of people with handicaps, disfigured children and adults and the elderly stating either ''if you think this person is beautiful (or some other adjective) say AMEN" or "nobody will share this photo because of (name the person's ailment)" and other ridiculous posts of people. It's exploitative and entirely possible the person would not want their photo all over the internet. Plus, what the heck purpose does it even serve? So much crap on FB is pointless, senseless and redundant. To me it's like a car wreck, you look at it even though you know it's not anythin -
Yes my 83 year old step dad fell on some ice and came away with deep bruising and scraped up pretty badly. I fractured my spine a few years ago falling on some icy steps. I don't go out when there is ice on the ground if it can be avoided. Monday morning I saw a little car near the tree line off to the right of the east bound lanes of 278. It appeared to have spun off the road near the intersection with Hulseytown, because it was facing the opposite direction of travel but otherwise appeared to be unharmed. Tuesday morning the car was pushed back further into the trees, the whole front

Thanks - so far so good. I have not been very irritable as has been the case when I tried previously to quit without using any help such as patches or gum. I guess that's really the purpose of the patches. I think it was the third day after I had not smoked a cigarette I had to go out to a customer's house to notarize a paper for her husband, who is disabled. When I rounded the corner of the porch, I came face to face with her outside having a smoke . Before, I would have probably asked her for a cigarette but I just told her I would wait for her to finish so we could go inside. Hopefu
