  1. Or maybe it's time they work for all their constituents and not just the big donors and/or themselves. Not sure how this incident would change such an opinion, really, since there are extremists of all kinds in the political arena. Your reply is just another example of the partisan 'us VS. them' mentality that doesn't do anybody any good at all.
  2. Exactly - yet they still pretend it is NEWS.
  3. No telling. He had a big personality and knew many people.
  4. Jimmy passed away Monday, 5/22/17. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm at Eberhart Funeral Home on Thursday, 5/25/17 with memorial service at 6 pm. I was fortunate to call this man my uncle. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Jimmy
  5. Apparently not. It's so ridiculous it's more like a parody of the presidency than the real thing...
  6. So sad to learn of his passing. My thoughts are with Joanne and the family.
  7. As if FB or any of its features are so important that it is better to give people a public forum to commit all manner of harm to themselves or others than do away with those being used for such a purpose...
  8. Yes, because this group of politicians is so much better than that one.
  9. And no law abiding citizen should have to worry that some amateur would-be hero with no training is going to pull out a gun in public and start shooting at the first sign of trouble or that people with more guns than common sense and self-control will respond to a negative interaction with gunfire before attempting to defuse the situation some other way, first. So much is said about how tough it is for trained law enforcement to make split-second decisions on when to use deadly force but on the other hand nobody seems to have reservations about allowing untrained gun owners to carry firea
  10. They are all hypocrites, and they are all about power and money. I can't believe anybody still wastes any time or effort pointing these things out or trying to defend any of them.
  11. Thankfully 'some of us' can read books without feeling the need to be condescending toward others. Personally I don't restrict myself to whatever subject matter is the hot topic of discussion on the internet on any given day...
  12. How many of you - seriously - have ever shared a public restroom with a person you know to have been transgender? Anyone? I know I haven't. Of course, I don't loiter around and inspect everyone who comes in but if any have ever simultaneously had to be there when I was, they sure didn't make their presence known to me. If you answered yes, did that person do or say anything threatening or lewd or otherwise force you to acknowledge their lifestyle? So strange this is even an issue that merits discussion...
  13. Based on what we've seen of her family, I'd say she's been 'settling' for much of her adult life.
  14. Love these bouncy little critters. Great entertainment! Dang that was a huge cat! or these goats are much smaller than I realized. Any animal in pajamas is ok by me.
  15. This^^ Except the applicable 'p' word in my case is procrastinator. Protest sounds better, so I might use that instead.
  16. If not a bonafide creep, he is certainly has the aura of one. Not sure how he escaped having a high heel planted between his legs long ago. Or at the very least a hard slap in the face. Ugh.
  17. Unfortunately, on a policy of her own it will probably cost even more because she will miss out on any discounts they might receive, first being the multi-car discount. If she lives in their home, their insurer will more than likely require the kid to carry liability and uninsured motorist limits equal to those they have.
  18. Seriously. War (and bloated corporate welfare) seem to be the only acceptable expenditures to some folks. I just don't see how we can afford to go on being the world's enforcers. Trump is only just learning what his job even entails; he is too impulsive/unpredictable/ego-driven to manage this potentially explosive situation.
  19. Happy late birthday! I did not even see this before. Hope you had a great day!
  20. Thank you! No, I have never been to the Mellow Mushroom lol - but thanks for making me feel young & pretty on my birthday, anyway!
  21. I'm sure his ego was more interested in the job than he was.
  22. My first husband (RIP) was a big J. Geils fan. The band did have a lot of energy, no doubt.
  23. Well thank you. I have to admit I did not realize you met me. Did I meet you? lol - duh...old, I'm telling you.
