Nothing but Animals!! Women don't account for much in those countries so why would they care about an American woman. I realize that not all people in those countries have that mentality, but many do and it is not safe for a woman to go there to report, especially during such turmoil. Don't get me wrong, I believe we women, myself included, have a right to go just about anywhere a man can go, but not when safety is an issue and certainly not to places in the world where women are so disrespected and undervalued. Women in the military is different, everyone receives proper training.

OMG!!! That's funny. That thief was probably sacred of both, knowing your brother meant business, since he didn't take the time to put on clothes.

They also make a tremendous mess in the yard. I have one that hangs around my house in Savannah and that darn thing has rooted around and dug so many holes. Someones gonna break an ankle if that thing isn't caught. I don't have the heart to kill it, it's aggravating, but it is so cute waddling around the yard in the evening.

You're right, I should have called to police. Why I didn't I don't know, but now I feel guilty for not doing so. You bet your butt I will in the future, if I see it happen again. You have set me straight, mojo. I came on here to complain about the dumpster issue, but did nothing to stop it. Rest assured it won't happen again.

That's basically how my DH and I cook it, minus the peas. Never thought to put peas in it. Any way we ALWAYS flour and brown the meat before stewing it as that will always make it tender. As for the pineapple juice, it's an acid so it will work just like vinegar and break down the connective tissue thus tenderizing it. I made country syel ribs for dinner last night and cooked them in apple cider vinegar before barbecuing them. They were falling apart tender and only took three hours.

I'm sorry to hear that someone broke into your daughters house. Nobody likes a thief. It's so frustrating, but hopefully they will get caught. As for those roll off dumpsters, I saw someone drive off Rosedale Ave in Hiram and drive over to the roll off by the Sears store near the Hiram WM to dump their fully loaded down older red Chevy S10 truck. It looked like they had a truck bed full of house renovation trash. I was shocked, someone has to pay for that dumpster only to have some lazy person drop off their trash for free. IMO that is the same as stealing.

I had them years ago and I do not recommend them. It is just so much easier, not to mention healthier for your eyes, to go with disposable. You can wear them for two weeks and toss them and put in a fresh pair. These are the ones I use, but I remove them daily and clean them thoroughly each time. The biggest difference between extended wear and disposable is that you will not need to use an enzyme cleaner and you can toss them for a fresh pair. It is possible to get nearly six weeks out of one pair if they are cleaned and cared for properly. Lenses will become clogged with proteins and therefo

Yep that's about what it costs to fill up mine. Fortunately, I can make it last for a week. I'm a SAHM so most of my driving is just around town or maybe to Douglasville once a week. -
They are only protected from hunters, not natural predators.

i gave up on Oprah a few years ago. However, forgiveness is sometimes the only way to move forward. Something like abuse, one will never forget, but can forgive and then the victim has gained control and the power over the abuser. This is very hard and can rip families apart, I know, one of my sister's went through it and she it all to her grave. It consumed her, destroyed her and she was an extremely bitter person toward everyone including her children and grandchildren. She made the choice to allow her past to control her. My other sister was quite the opposite, she forgave and became a much

The Christmas tree in downtown Hiram is still up or it was as of last night. DD commented on it.

Really, you mean tap water can cause them? That makes me wonder if well water can be a bigger cause due to all the minerals and whatever else is in it.

Has anyone ever been told what caused their kidney stones? I had to take in a sample of the stone I had to be tested, but it never was and the Dr's office ultimately lost it. I have heard that caffeine is one cause, does anyone know for sure and what other causes are there that can possibly be avoided?

Yes, thank you. Still praying for those involved.

DS' best friend lives in that S/D and he can't get him to text back. It's not unusual though, it generally takes him awhile to text back. Prayers for everyone involved.

Several years ago I got a kidney stone for Christmas, yep I ended up in the ER on Christmas Day. Anyway, after going to the urologist, getting x rayed, and a Lithotripsy procedure it finally passed completely about 4 weeks later. Now I must say mine was large and was pulverized with the Lithtripsy procedure and so it just passed over time. If your DH's does not pass and/or is too large to pass naturally, I highly recommend the LP, it's painless and non-invasive and done under general anesthesia. The stones themselves hurt and sometimes pain is felt as the crushed stone is passing.

My MIL uses an e cig and she loves it. This was her choice to help her quit smoking. She has been using it now for about 10 months and I think she's addicted to it, but she is not smoking cigarettes anymore. If I remember correctly, she is on the lowest dose cartridge and is trying to wean from that eventually. She smokes it anywhere and it bothers no one and there is no smell. Oh and she has been a smoker for over 40 years, so if there is a will there is a way.

The Gates. That show was great, IMO, and ABC decided to cancel it. I hope another network will pick it up.

I hope he is right. Punxsutawney Phil did not see his either. Hopefully spring really is just around the corner, this cold weather is getting old.
