Sounds like over reaction to me on the callers part. However, if that dog wanted to bite it would have. And WHY in the world would that mom have to be told to bring her kids in if she really thought her kids were in danger? I bet it's a young dog who play bites. Keep us posted.

Is there anything we can do for Nick's family? Do they need anything such as food or drinks or whatever? You know even if it is a week or two from now or a month, there may be times when some help is needed. Does anyone know?

Oh my how so very sad. This really just made me cry. I have a 17 yo son is a senior at HHS and his name is Nick. Too many similarities and it just struck me the wrong way. My heart just really goes out to this family, he was so young and had so much ahead of him. Prayers for his family and friends.

This must be the smoke I saw a little while ago while coming back from Kroger on Ridge. I was hoping it wasn't a house fire, but a controlled burn where they are building Ingles. I sure hate to hear of someone losing their home to fire, but with that said it is great that no one was in the home. I hope they didn't have any pets inside either. Sending a prayer to this family when they find out what has happened and hoping that all will be okay for them. If anyone has any info later on about needs for them just let me know, I will see what I have and can give to them.

Okay this child's foot was run over by a white male in a black truck. Fullsize or small truck? Make of vehicle? No one is disptuing that this driver sped away. So isn't that leaving the scene of an accident? Whether the accident was intentional or not, the driver fled and charges should be filed.
