Not me, but then it was the hubby who cleared the driveway and patio yesterday. He didn't bust his bum though, thank goodness, because he would have complained for at least week.
-
Mine went to work today too. He had to go from Ridge Road area to Cobb Hospital. It took him about an hour to get there and he too, said the roads were icy on places, but drive slow, be careful and smart and you should be fine.

I'm the youngest of four. My sister is 60, sister number two would have been 57(died 2 yrs ago) and my brother is 55. They all shared the same Mother and Father. I am 38 and had a different Mother ( died when I was 2 yo). I was raised as an only child. My Dad remarried in 1979, my Step-Mom had six kids of her own and all but one were adults when my parents married, youngest was 17, I was 6. So I was even the youngest of all of the step siblings. I was a bit of a brat, according to my oldest sister, but I really wasn't. Seriously.

BBQ pork chops, corn, Brussels sprouts and Au gratin potatoes. It smells yummy, it's almost ready, just waiting on the sprouts to finish steaming.

Hubby made it to work, Cobb Hospital, but then he found out the job is shut down so he came home. He got back around 10 am, but went to Martin's and got biscuits for us. I for one am glad he's home and safe.

My husband just left for work. We are off Ridge Road and I would have liked it if he would have stayed home, but he insisted he has to get to work. He will most likely call and say he is on his way back home soon.

DH measured 4 1/2" on his truck hood. I measured 5" on the back porch. edited to add: I forgot to say we are off Poole Bridge Road in Hiram.

Well now I know why Wally World was almost out of chili making supplies! We all decided to make it at the same time.

My DH made chili earlier, we finally ate around 9pm. It was so good.

This was from my front porch at about 10 pm.

Thanks Mark, I just spoke with Amy and she was very informative. When someone shows interest in the house I will contact Amy again and go from there. Thank you so much!!! Yes, I will make sure that everything is done legally. I am NOT interested in getting into trouble, LOL. I always try to do everything the right way, so that is why I came on here asking. Thank you so much for your advice.

Oh yes, I plan to get that information. Even though my former tenants damaged the hardwood floors, it could have been worse, like serious damage to the whole house. Hopefully, I will have luck in getting some renters that will treat the home as their own. That is what I am hoping for anyway. My rental house is the house I grew up in and so it is very special to me, I just want it to be taken care of and loved. DH and I would love to live in it one day, but I don't think the work is available in that area as it is here.

I could do it that way. I'm trying to figure all this out before the house is ready to rent. Thanks for the input.

Thank you, I didn't think to check his site.

Can anyone tell me how I would go about running a credit check on a prospective tenant and where would I go to do this? I am a fairly new landlord, about two years, and the only time I rented the house the tenants always paid late, had 3 bounced checks, and left my rental home dirty and they damaged the hardwood floors. Now the house is nearly back in order and I want to be able to screen people to make sure they can pay and have a good history with renting, if they have rented before. Does anyone have any experience with this that can help me? My sister is a Realtor, but she does not do credi

WOW, that is so neat.

No way!!! Let him wait and if he doesn't like it, tough. Maybe next time he will get his rear in gear and do what needs to be done. What good would it do to take the test for him other than to teach him that he can be a teenager all he wants, someone else will come behind him and pick his slack. My DS was lazy about taking the test, so he had to wait. No way was I going to do it for him. He was 17 when he finally decided to get off his rear and do it for himself.

There has been a train derailed in Douglasville. It has some roads shut down and could affect your morning commute. No one was hurt according to the news. Hopefully the link below works. My link

That is a really neat idea, a Nana shower.

Not telling would bother me, but in my case years ago I would have been very upset for dh going. He knew that so he would not say anything to keep the peace. After 20 years I don't care anymore and now he never even goes. I went to a male club earlier this year, it was fun but it was my first time. Now I can say I have been to one. Oh and dh encouraged me to go.

Thoughts coming her way. I hope all goes well for the person she is there with.

We want to try out the Catfish Den soon, just don't know when we will get to it. As far as Dogwoods, that place was AWFUL!!! We went once and never went back. Maybe it was a bad night, but everything we ordered, and there were five of us, was just not good at all. JMO

I have been looking at them this week and should have bought it when they were in stock at the the AT&T store, but nooooo I didn't do that. So I went tonight and they are gone. The good news is that you can order one and have it in 5-7 business days, at least that is what I was told. I guess I will be wrapping a photo of one for my son.

I used to lose my car all the time, so now I always park in certain areas for each store. Always on the first row at WM, first row at Target and so on. It works for me. Now when DH drives us somewhere, I usually forget where we parked and will automatically navigate to where I usually park.
