These girls went to prom with two tangerines. Guess who what he did after prom?

We bought our house in 1999 and were told we qualified for way more than we could ever imagine spending. We stuck to our original number of 120K or less and so glad we did. My parents always said never be house poor and don't try to keep up with the Jones'. Pretty good advice. DH and I set our $ amount based on one income. Good thing we did that, I am a SAHM now. Ready to change that though.

I will be thinking of you today. My Dad passed away from lung cancer in September 2007, his was a short battle only one month. He never smoked a day in his life.

Not only that wait until it's time to replace that liner, they do a crappy job of installing those too. The inside wall of our pool is very rusty and we already have to replace the liner, it's been less than five years. If we get a new liner through them, they will not install it, we will and we won't go to the Dallas location. They act like they are Holier than Thou at that store. BTW, our liner was wrinkled too after they finished the initial installation in '06.

Sending up prayers for Froggy and you right now.

Continue to advertise the house and the first to sign a lease gets the house. You are not under any type of legal agreement with the "friend of friends" and IF they really want the home, then they would contact you in a reasonable amount of time. The one thing that really bothers me about these people is that they are willing to "bail" on their last months rent, I'm willing to bet they would do that to you too. Also, if they have made a security deposit on their current rental, why would they give that up? Have they done enough damage to the home that they wouldn't get it back anyway? WAY TOO

Have y'all seen those bug zappers that look like a tennis racket? I want to get one of those, it seems like a fun little thing to have especially during bee season.

We have used Skyline and were pleased with them.

Well that is awesome!! I have been trying to figure out how to eradicate the carpenter bees feom my house in Savannah. They have been burrowing through the eaves of the house for a while now. It's not to the point where the cedar or cypress, whatever that wood is on the eaves, has to be replaced. I hoping to get the trim all repainted this year sometime and I want those bees GONE before they do any more damage. So whatcha got for me? What can I do? -
He was so young. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I heard it on the news yesterday. The reporter stated that the bully's mother wanted an apology made to her son, the report never showed the mother actually make that statement. I believe I heard it on Fox 5. Found the report My link

I saw this yesterday, on the news I believe. Anyway, from what was said in the piece the bully's mom actually thinks her son deserves an APOLOGY from the bigger kid. . I think NOT!!!!!

I have a Kirby and I love it. They are expensive though. A friend of mine has a Dyson and she loves it and she has three cats, so it has to deal with a lot of hair and it does a very good job. It might just be worth it to try to get one that is refurbished. As far as carpet cleaners, I have a Hoover and it's awesome. I had a Bissell before that and it lasted less than two years. I took it in to have it repaired and the guy said it can't be fixed and most often they can't be. That machine did a great job on my my carpet, when it worked properly. My link. I found it at Home Depot.

DS has an I Phone/ATT and he has been having issues. I have Sprint and no issues. We are off Ridge Road. DS did just try to call the house phone and it did go through so hopefully they have it fixed or almost.

Yep, they have to be ejected before unplugging or you will have issues.

I think the problems have come about since the buy out. We have a 12 yo washer and 13 year old dryer, both Maytag and have not had any real issues with them. The tub bearing wore out, Pate's fixed that and the dryer needed new roller bearings, DH fixed that. I consider those things regular maintenance. The reason we went with Maytag was because my MIL had a very old set and so did DH's Grandmother, and they were all going strong. Grandmother's was at least 20 years old and MIL's wasn't far behind. I would not even consider Maytag now, I have heard and read about too many issues, it's not the s

Whirlpool bought Maytag several years ago.

This may sound nuts, but to help my cough, I keep a Jolly Rancher in my mouth all the time. The thick sugary candy coats the throat and helps the cough, the only thing is once the candy is gone the cough comes back after a very short time. Oh and don't talk.
-
Oh that sounds like something we can try. Thanks for the tip. I just noticed my reply posted three times, sorry, I was on my "smart" phone, haha, more like "stupid" phone.

They aren't too tall yet, about three feet tall, so maybe that's why the critters get them before we do. They will also eat the berries before they are fully ripened, that's another reason. The nets don't work BTW. They aren't too tall yet, about three feet tall, so maybe that's why the critters get them before we do. We have nine blueberry bushes and they are doing well. We never get any berries from them, the birds and squirrels ravage them. We have three different varieties and they are all evergreen types. Ours are planted near pine trees and we do use pine straw around them, they do like acidic soil. For the most part, treat them as you would camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons by feeding them the same type of plant food. DH likes Miracle Grow for azaleas and camellias.
